Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the loss in starting, by monitoring the temperature and pressure of incoming steam of a first turbine, which is driven by main steam, and a second turbine, which is driven by reheated steam, and by opening a corresponding valve to accelerate the turbine when the temperature and pressure have reached steam supply conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A first and a second regulating valves (not shown in the drawing) are provided to control the inflow quantities of steam into a first turbine (not shown in the drawing), which is driven by main steam generated by a boiler, and a second turbine (not shown in the drawing), which is driven by reheated steam. The detection outputs of a water wall outlet inside fluid temperature detector 30, a main steam pressure detector 31, a reheated steam pressure detector 39, a main steam temperature detector 40, a reheated steam temperature detector 41 and a steam condenser pressure detector 42 are monitored. When the set values of an initial command setting unit 43 for the main steam pressure and an initial command setting unit 44 for the reheated steam pressure are reached, the first and the second regulating valves are opened to increase the pressure of the turbines and the load thereon.
