Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase a dot density and a wiring density by forming dots of the dot matrix fluorescent display tube by photo resistor tecnique.
CONSTITUTION: Al and Ni are evaporated in order through a mask on insulating substrate 1 such as glass to form wiring pattern 2 of Al.Ni. Next, the surface is covered with photo resistor film 3. Next, film 3 is so removed by photo sensitivity that resistor film 3' may be left in the dot forming part of wiring pattern 2. Next, black TiO insulating layer 4 is evaporated throughout the surface. Next, when resistor film 3' in the dot part of wiring pattern 2, TiO layer 4 on film 3' is removed. Next, carbon 5 and fluorescent material 6 are electrodeposited in order on the Al.Ni pattern. In the fluorescent display tube produced in this manner, dots and wiring patterns are formed with a high density, and further, a clear character display can be obtained because the back plate is black.
