Abstract
PURPOSE: To use heat effectively and to treat ashes rapidly and effectively by collecting solid sludge obtained from combustion ashes which is produced by the stoker typeincinerator and is molten by heat of combustion gas.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion ashes B produced by the stoker type incinerator 1 is discharged to the shaft part 3 of the melting system post-combustion equipment A, temperature of the ashes 13 is about 600°C. The ashes is introduced into the melting chamber 7 to be heated by the burner 8, temperature of the upper layer of the ashes B is about l500°C, resulting in a molten ashes. The molten ashes is flowed from the furnace bottom 4 to the conduit 9 and is dropped into the water pit 11. The molten ashes C is rapidly cooled in the water and is made granular. The combustion gas D generated in the combustion chamber 7 heatd the ashes C on the conduit 9 to prevent the solidification of the ashes C in the gate and mixing unmolten material.
