Abstract
PURPOSE: Title device in which a stirring means is provided in the part where the upper layer of moving bed of a mixture comprising solid wastes and solid heat medium is formed in a thermal decomposition furnace to increase the efficiencies of heat transfer and decomposition and the operability.
CONSTITUTION: Organic solid wastes crashed into adequate sizes are charged to hooper 5 and fed through inlet 2 into thermal decomposition furnace 1 by screw feeder 7. Meanwhile, solid heat medium is fed from fluidized bed combustion furnace 9 through pipe 8 and inlet 3 into decomposition furnace 1 to form moving bed 16. At the same time stirring means 12 in the upper layer 17 of the fluidized bed 16 is driven to mix the waste with the heat medium by stirring blade 14 and make them go down. Then the mixture is made to come up again by buffle plate 20, thus sufficient mixing is effected in part 17, and further made to go down to the lower moving layer. The wastes are thermally decomposed and the gas is taken out of outlet 14 outside the furnace 1 and the decomposition residue and the heat medium are fed from outlet 18 through path to furnace 9 to burn completely.
