Abstract
PURPOSE:To make resistance values stable, enable specific resistance to be selected up to high values and obtain images of high stability and reliability by providing a titanium layer or an alloy metal composed primarily of titanium between a heating resistor and an electric conductor. CONSTITUTION:A metal boride thin film of preferably 20 to 300 Angstrom is provided on a sufficiently washed substrate such as of glazed ceramics or other by evaporating or sputtering a titanium layer such as of titanium boride, zirconium boride, vanadium boride or other or an alloy metal composed primarily of titainum. Thereby, resistance values are made stable and specific resistance may be selected up to high values. Further the thermal head which gives images of high stability and reliability and high stability with time may be obtained.
