Abstract
PURPOSE:To make resistance values stable, enable specific resistance to be selected up to high values and obtain images of high stability and reliability by providing an alloy metal composed primarily of vanadium between a heating resistor and an electric conductor. CONSTITUTION:A metal boride thin film of preferably 20 to 300 Angstrom is provided on a sufficiently washed substrate such as of glazed ceramics or other by evaporating or sputtering a vanadium layer such as of zirconimum boride, titanium boride, vanadium boride or other or an alloy metal composed primarily of vanadium. Thereby, resistance values are made stable and specific resistance may be selected up to higg values. Further the thermal head which gives images of high stability and reliability and high stability with time may be obtained.
