Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.十分な深さまで貫通し、光吸収性がより高い疾患組織の小さな体積部分又は 層を選択的に加熱するように少なくともひとつのレーザー・パルスで正常な組織 の表面を照射するステップと; 上記疾患組織にその疾患組織のそれと類似した特性を有し、正常な組織の表 面までほとんど変わらずに伝播する応力波をつくりださせるステップと; 少なくともひとつの光音響トランスジューサでその応力波を検出するステッ プと; デジタル・オッシロスコープでレーザー誘発応力波の強度と一時的な特性を 記録するステップと;そして レーザー誘発応力波の強度と特性をコンピュータで分析するステップを含む レーザー光音響トモグラフィーを用いた正常な組織内部の疾患組織を診断する方 法。 2.該応力波が三次元画像を再構成するためにコンピュータで記録、分析される 請求項1の方法。 3.前記レーザー・パルスが異なった光吸収性をもった組織構造を加熱して、そ れによって不均一な組織内での吸収レーザー・エネルギー分布の特性と類似した 応力特性を発生させ、その後超音波応力波の時間解像検出を行う請求項1の方法 。 4.前記疾患組織部分又は層がレーザー誘発応力の一時的特性、上記光音響トラ ンスジューサへの応力波の到達時 間、及び応力検出の方向によって判定される請求項1の方法。 5.前記光音響トランスジューサが誘電検出器である請求項1の方法。 6.前記応力波が一時的解像度を用いる音響トランスジューサによって検出され る請求項1の方法。 7.前記トランスジューサがレーザー・ビームの固定位置で音響トランスジュー サを走査させずに診断される組織部分の形状を判定する請求項1の方法。 8.前記複数の個別光ファイバー又はレーザー・ビームが照射時間と入射レーザ ーの影響を減らすためにと大きな体積の組織を照射する請求項1の方法。 9.前記レーザー誘発応力波の前記強度および一時的な特性がデジタル・オッシ ロスコープによって記録されることを特徴とする請求項1の方法。 10.前記応力検出が透過モードで行われる請求項1の方法。 11.組織の光学的不均一性の前記応力検出が最大12cmの組織進度で行われる請求 項1の方法。 12.前記検出が反射モードで行われる請求項1の方法。 13.前記照射が約600nmから約1400nmのスペクトル範囲内で行われる請求項1の 方法。 14.前記照射が診断対象の分子、細胞、又は組織の吸収帯域に対応する波長で行 われる請求項1の方法。 15.トモグラフィー画像のコントラストを強化するために 外部分子プローブ又は染料を用いるステップを含む請求項1の方法。 16.前記疾患組織が乳ガン、脳血腫瘍、脳出血、アテローム性動脈硬化性斑点、 多発性関節炎、ポートワインしみ、皮膚不全、黒色腫、及び眼球疾患により構成 されるグループから選択される請求項1の方法。 17.前記疾患組織が内臓器官であり、照射がエンドスコープを介して行われ、前 記音響トランスジューサが皮膚表面に配置される請求項1の方法。 18.前記疾患組織が内臓器官であり、照射が皮膚表面に対して行われ、前記トラ ンスジューサがエンドスコープ内に組み込まれており、上記器官内部に配置され る請求項1の方法。 19.前記疾患組織が内部器官であり、光ファイバーとトランスジューサがエンド スコープ内に組み込まれており、上記器官内に配置される請求項1の方法。 20.パルス化レーザーと; 光伝達システムと; 少なくともひとつの音響検出器と; 信号記録及び処理のための電子システムと;そして 画像再構成及び分析用のソフトウエアを備えたコンピュータによって構成さ れる生物医学診断用トモグラフィー・システム。
