Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.光源と、光源からの光を集光する光学系と、情報記録媒体に微小光スポット を形成するように光学系を制御するフォーカス制御手段と、情報記録媒体からの 反射光束を複数の光束に分割して受光する受光手段と、分割された複数の光束に ついて受光手段により検出された信号を演算してトラッキング誤差信号を得る演 算手段と、トラッキング誤差信号に基づいて光学系を制御し、情報記録媒体上に 形成された情報トラックに微小光スポットを追随させるトラッキング制御手段と を備え、 前記の受光手段は、情報トラックと光学的に対応する方向と平行な第1の分割 線と、第1の分割線に対して対称に配置された少なくとも一つの遮光領域によっ て分割された複数の光束を各々受光することを特徴とする光学ヘッド。 2.前記の受光手段は、多分割受光素子であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載 された光学ヘッド。 3.前記の受光手段は、反射光束を複数の光束に分割する光学素子を備えること を特徴とする請求項1に記載された光学ヘッド。 4.前記の遮光領域は長方形であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれ かに記載された光学ヘッド。 5.前記の遮光領域は、反射光束の内、情報トラックから回折された0次と1次 の回折光が重なる領域の1部を遮光する形状を備えることを特徴とする請求項1 ないし4までのいずれかに記載された光学ヘッド。 6.前記の受光手段は、第1の分割線と遮光領域により分割された2つの光束を 受光することを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載された光学ヘッド 。 7.前記の受光手段は、第1の分割線と遮光領域により分割された4つの光束を 受光することを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載された光学ヘッド 。 8.前記の遮光領域の、前記の第1の分割線と同方向の幅Vは、光束径をD、開 口数をNA、波長をλ、情報トラックピッチをdとすると、 を満足することを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載された光学ヘッド 。 9.前記の遮光領域は、第1の分割線の両側に設けられる第1の遮光部分と、第 1の分割線に関して第1の遮光部分の外側に設けられる第2と第3の遮光部分と からなることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載された光学ヘッド。 10.第2と第3の遮光部分の内側境界線の間隔Wは、光束径をD、光束の片側 最大移動量をaとしたとき、 を満足することを特徴とする請求項9に記載された光学ヘッド。 11.前記の受光手段は、さらに、前記の第1の分割線と交差し光軸に関して対 称に配置された第2と第3の分割線により分割された複数の光束を受光し、前記 の遮光領域は、前記の第2と第3の分割線よりも内側に設けられることを特徴と する請求項1〜5と8のいずれかに記載された光学ヘッド。 12.前記の受光手段は、第1、第2および第3の分割線と遮光領域により分割 された6つの光束を受光することを特徴とする請求項11に記載された光学ヘッ ド。 13.前記の受光手段は、第1、第2および第3の分割線と遮光領域により分割 された8つの光束を受光することを特徴とする請求項11に記載された光学ヘッ ド。 14.前記の第2と第3の分割線の間隔Uは、光束径をD、開口数をNA、波長 をλ、情報トラックピッチをdとしたとき、 を満たすことを特徴とする請求項11ないし13のいずれかに記載された光学ヘ ッド。 15.前記の遮光領域は、第1の分割線の両側に設けられる第1の遮光部分と、 第1の分割線に関して第1の遮光部分の外側に設けられる第2と第3の遮光部分 とからなることを特徴とする請求項11から14のいずれかに記載の光学ヘッド 。 16.第2と第3の遮光部分の内側境界の間隔Wは、光束径をD、光束の片側最 大移動量をaとしたとき、 を満足することを特徴とする請求項15に記載の光学ヘッド。
