- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.サーメット製品の製造方法であって、 第1の硬質成分及び第1のバインダーを含有する第1の粉末ブレンドと、第2 の硬質成分及び第2のバインダーを含有する第2の粉末ブレンドとを含有する部 分的に高密度化したコンパクトを焼結し、 第1及び第2の粉末ブレンドが成形体の一体部が互いに隔離され、 第1の粉末ブレンドが第1のバインダー含有量を有し、第2の粉末ブレンドが 1のバインダー含有量より高い第2のバインダー含有量を有し、 第1の粉末ブレンドが第1の磁気飽和率を有し、第2の粉末ブレンドが第1の 磁気飽和率と異なる第2の磁気飽和率を有し、 焼結中、温度、時間及び圧力を制御して、第2のバインダー含有量を第1のバ インダー含有量よりも高くしつつ、十分に高密度化した製品を提供する、サーメ ット製品の製造方法。 2.第1のバインダー及び第2のバインダーが、同じであるか又は異なり、鉄、 ニッケル、コバルト、これらの混合物、これらの合金、又はこれらの組み合わせ のうちの少なくとも一つを含有する、請求項1記載の方法。 3.第1の硬質成分及び第2の硬質成分が、同じであるか又は異なり、ホウ化物 、炭化物、窒化物、酸化物、ケイ化物、これらの混合物、これらの固溶体、又は これらの組み合わせのうちの少なくとも一つを含有する、請求項1記載の方法。 4.第1の硬質成分及び第2の硬質成分が、同じであるか又は異なり、IUPAC の 2族、3族、4族、5族、6族、7族、8族、9族、10族、11族、12族、 13族及び14族のうちの少なくとも一つの元素のホウ化物、炭化物、窒化物、 酸化物、ケイ化物、これらの混合物、これらの固溶体又はこれらの組合せのうち の少なくとも一つを含有する、請求項1記載の方法。 5.第1の硬質成分及び第2の硬質成分が、同じであるか又は異なり、IUPAC の 3族、4族、5族、及び6族のうちの少なくとも一つの元素のホウ化物、炭化物 、窒化物、酸化物、ケイ化物、これらの混合物、これらの固溶体、又はこれらの 組合せのうちの少なくとも一つを含有する、請求項1記載の方法。 6.第1の硬質成分及び第2の硬質成分が、同じであるか又は異なり、IUPAC の 3族、4族、5族、及び6族のうちの少なくとも一つの元素の炭化物、これらの 混合物、これらの固溶体、又はこれらの組合せのうちの少なくとも一つを含有す る、請求項1記載の方法。 7.第1の硬質成分及び第2の硬質成分が、同じであるか又は異なり、IUPAC の 3族、4族、5族、及び6族のうちの少なくとも一つの元素の炭化物、これらの 混合物、これらの固溶体、又はこれらの組合せのうちの少なくとも一つを含有し 、第1のバインダー及び第2のバインダーが同じであるか又は異なり、鉄、ニッ ケル、コバルト、これらの混合物、これらの合金又はこれらの組み合わせのうち の少なくとも一つを含有する、請求項1記載の方法。 8.第1の硬質成分及び第2の硬質成分は、同じであるか又は異なり、少なくと も炭化タングステン、これらの混合物、これらの固溶体、又はこれらの組み合わ せを含有し、第1のバインダー及び第2のバインダーがコバルト又はコバルト合 金を含有する、請求項1記載の方法。 9.第1の硬質成分が第1の粒度を有し、第2の硬質成分が第2の粒度を有し、 第2の粒度が第1の粒度よりも大きい、請求項1記載の方法。 10.サーメット製品であって、 第1の粒度を有する第1の硬質成分及び第1の濃度の第1のバインダーを含有 する第1領域を有し、 第2の粒度を有する第2の硬質成分及び第2の濃度の第2のバインダーを含有 する第2領域を有し、 第2のバインダー濃度が第1のバインダー濃度よりも高く、第2の粒度が第1 の粒度よりも大きく、 第1の粉末ブレンドが第1の磁気飽和率を有し、第2の粉末ブレンドが第2の 磁気飽和率を有し、第1の磁気飽和率が第2の磁気飽和率と異なり、第1の硬質 成分及び第1の濃度より少ない量の第1のバインダー含有量を有する第1の粉末 ブレンドと第2の硬質成分及び第2の濃度よりも高い量の第2のバインダー含有 量を有する並置した第2の粉末ブレンドとを制御された温度、時間及び圧力で焼 結する際、サーメット製品の第1領域をサーメット製品の第2領域に自然発生的 かつ冶金的に結合させて、十分に高密度化した製品を提供する、サーメット製品 。 11.サーメット製品が建設、採鉱、農業及び機械加工のうちの一つで使用する ための工具の一部を含む、請求項10記載のサーメット製品。 12.工具が削鉱機又は削岩機を含む、請求項11記載のサーメット製品。 13.サーメット製品であって、 第1の粒度を有する炭化タングステン粒子及び第1の濃度を有する第1のコバ ルトベースのバインダーから成るサーメットの第1領域を有し、 第2の粒度を有する炭化タングステン粒子及び第2の濃度を有する第2のコバ ルトベースのバインダーから成るサーメットの第2領域を有し、 サーメットの第1領域がサーメットの第2領域に自然発生的かつ冶金的に結合 し、 第1の濃度が第2の濃度よりも低く、第1の粒度が第2の粒度よりも小さく、 第1のコバルトベースバインダーが第1の磁気飽和率値を有し、第2のコバル トベースバインダーが第2の磁気飽和率値を有し、かつ 第1の磁気飽和率が第2の磁気飽和率よりも高い、サーメット製品。 14.第2領域にはイータ相がない、請求項13記載の製品。 15.第1領域には”C”多孔性がない、請求項13記載の製品。 16.第1領域には”C”多孔性がない、請求項14記載の製品。 17.第1の磁気飽和率が約79〜約100の範囲であり、第2の磁気飽和率が 約79〜約100の範囲である、請求項13記載のサーメット製品。 18.第1の粒度が約サブマイクロメートル〜約30マイクロメートルの範囲で あり、第2の粒度が約サブマイクロメートル〜約30マイクロメートルの範囲で ある、請求項13記載のサーメット製品。 19.第1のコバルトベースのバインダー濃度が約1重量%〜約30重量%であ り、第2のコバルトベースのバインダー濃度が約2重量%〜約30重量%である 、請求項13記載のサーメット製品。 20.鋼体に装着するための切削要素であって、 鋼体に装着するためのベース部、並びにベース部及び鋼体の上に少なくとも部 分的に突出する先端部を有し、 切削要素がベース部の表面の少なくとも大部分を形成する第1の炭化タングス テン−コバルトベースのサーメット、及び先端部の表面の少なくとも大部分を形 成する第2の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットを有し、 第1の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットが第1の磁気飽和率を 有し、第2の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットが第2の磁気飽和 率を有し、 第2の磁気飽和率が第1の磁気飽和率よりも小さく、 第2の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットが第1の炭化タングス テン−コバルトベースのサーメットよりもコバルト含有量が高い、切削要素。 21.第2の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットの大部分にわたっ たコバルトバインダー含有量が実質的に均一である、請求項20記載の切削要素 。 22.第1の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットが第1の炭化タン グステン粒度を有し、第2の炭化タンスグテン−コバルトベースのサーメットが 2の炭化タングステン粒度を有し、 第2の炭化タングステン粒度が第1の炭化タングステン粒度よりも大きい、請 求項20記載の切削要素。 23.第1の磁気飽和率が約79〜100である、請求項20記載の切削要素。 24.第1の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットには”C”多孔性 が存在しない、請求項23記載の切削要素。 25.第2の磁気飽和率が約79〜100である、請求項20記載の切削要素。 26.第2の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットにはイータ相が存 在しない、請求項24記載の切削要素。 27.第2の炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットにはイータ相が存 在しない請求項25記載の切削要素。 28.炭化タングステン−コバルトベースのサーメットが先端部分の大部分にわ たって実質的に均一である硬度を有する、請求項20記載の切削要素。
