Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.薄いシート材から成る複数の板を作動的組み合わせで含み、各板は個別に 形成された形状部を有し、この形状部は、メータリングオリフィス、チャンネル 、通路およびマニホールドの内の少なくとも一つから選択され、前記形状部は板 毎に位置合わせされて少なくとも一つの活性領域微小チャンネルフィールドを提 供し、前記板を一緒に接合して、燃料電池スタック内において電解質膜組立体と 接触するように配置するための一体型のセパレータを形成するようにした極燃料 電池セパレータ。 2.燃料または酸化剤のための少なくとも一つの加湿フィールドを形成する形 状部を含む、請求項1に記載の極燃料電池セパレータ。 3.少なくとも一つの冷却剤フィールドを含む、請求項2に記載の極燃料電池 セパレータ。 4.前記冷却剤フィールドが前記加湿フィールドの少なくとも一つと連通して 加熱された加湿流体を前記加湿フィールドに提供するようにした、請求項3に記 載の極燃料電池セパレータ。 5.形状部が深さエッチッグと貫通エッチングの組み合わせによって形成され ている、請求項1に記載の極燃料電池セパレータ。 6.前記一体型のセパレータを形成するために前記板が、加熱加圧下において 、接着、拡散接合、溶接、ロウ付けまたははんだ付けにより接合されるものであ る、請求項5に記載の極燃料電池セパレータ。 7.前記セパレータが、アノード側とカソード側を有する双極セパレータで、 前記フィールドチャンネルは、その長さ、微小チャンネル断面寸法および蛇行形 状が、ガスの組成および粘性に適合されている、請求項6に記載の極燃料電池セ パレータ。 8.前記セパレータのフィールドが、H2加湿フィールドと空気/O2加湿フィ ールドとを含む、請求項6に記載の極燃料電池セパレータ。 9.前記セパレータのフィールドが、少なくとも一つの冷却剤フィールドを含 む、請求項8に記載の極燃料電池セパレータ。 10.i)積層アレーに内の極セパレータおよび膜電極組立体と、ii)前記 スタックの一端において前記膜電極組立体の内の一つと接触しているアノード側 セパレータエンドプレートと、iii)前記スタックの他端において一つの膜電 極組立体と接触しているカソード側セパレータエンドプレートとを含む複数のセ ルを作動的組み合わせで含み、前記双極セパレータ並びに前記アノード側および カソード側セパレータは請求項1に記載のセパレータであり、動作する電池を構 成するために前記セルが圧縮状態で順番に組み立てられるものである燃料電池ス タック。 11.前記形状部が燃料または酸化剤のための少なくとも一つの加湿フィール ドを含み、少なくとも一つの冷却剤フィールドが前記加湿フィールドと連通して 加熱された加湿流体を前記加湿フィールドに提供するようにした、請求項10に 記載の燃料電池スタック。 12.前記フィールドは、その長さ、微小チャンネル断面寸法および蛇行形状 が、燃料としてのH2、酸化剤として空気/O2に適合されている、請求項11に 記載の燃料電池スタック。 13. 前記セパレータが、Ti、Al、Cu、W、ニオビウム、ステンレス 鋼、合金、積層体、金属の層、およびそれらの複合体から選択される拡散接合さ れた金属によって構成され、前記膜電極組立体は炭素紙によって被覆されたPE Mまたは炭素紙によって被覆されていないPEMであり、前記セパレータは前記 炭素紙によって被覆されたPEMに接触するウインドウフレーム板または炭素紙 によって被覆されていないPEMに接触するウインドウスクリーン板を含むもの である、請求項12に記載の燃料電池スタック。 14.薄いシート素材内に、微小チャンネル、通路およびマニホールドから選 択される位置合わせされた形状部を有する複数の異なった板を形成し、前記形状 部は共同して、膜電極組立体と接触する、酸化剤または燃料を消費するための少 なくとも一つの活性領域を形成し、前記個々の板の形状部を対を成す隣接する板 の対応する形状部と正確に位置を合わせて前記板を積層して前記酸化剤または燃 料のための連続する循環通路を提供し、前記整合された板を接合して、内部微小 チャンネルとこれに続くマニホールドを有する一体型のセパレータを形成する工 程を含む燃料電池セパレータ組立体を生産する方法。 15.前記シート素材が金属であり、前記形成工程が、深さエッチッグと貫通 エッチングの組み合わせによって前記形状部をエッチングによって形成する工程 を含む請求項14に記載の方法。 16.前記貫通エッチングが、前記シート素材の両側から選択された領域を、 シート厚の50%を越える深さまで深さエッチングすることを含む請求項15に 記載の方法。 17.前記金属がTi、Al、Cu、W、ニオビウム、ステンレス鋼、合金、 積層体、金属の層、およびそれらの複合体から選択されるものである請求項16 に記載の方法。 18.前記形成工程は、前記金属シート素材の上に形状部を定義するために前 記金属シート素材をフォトリソグラフィー的にレジストで被覆することを含む請 求項15に記載の方法。 19.接合後、前記セパレータを不動態化(パッシベーション)する工程を含 む請求項15に記載の方法。 20.前記接合は、加熱加圧下での拡散接着を含み、前記金属はTiであり、 前記不動態化は高温で窒素に晒すことを含む請求項19に記載の方法。
