Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.Rpsポリペプチドをコードする実質的に純粋なDNA。 2.RPS2遺伝子[配列番号:1]を含む請求の範囲1のDNA。 3.ゲノムDNAである請求の範囲1のDNA。 4.cDNAである請求の範囲1のDNA。 5.アラビドプシス属の植物のDNAである請求の範囲1のDNA。 6.図2の配列[配列番号:1]またはその縮退変異配列を有し、図2の読み枠「a」 のアミノ酸配列[配列番号:2-5]をコードする、実質的に純粋なDNA。 7.図2のDNA配列[配列番号:1]に対して約50%以上の同一性を有する、実質的 に純粋なDNA。 8.ポリペプチドの発現のためプロモーターを含む調節配列に機能的に連結し た請求の範囲1または2のDNA。 9.プロモーターが構成性のプロモーターである請求の範囲8のDNA。 10.プロモーターが1つ以上の外部因子によって誘導されうる、請求の範囲8 のDNA。 11.プロモーターが細胞型特異的である、請求の範囲8のDNA。 12.請求の範囲1のDNAを含む細胞。 13.植物細胞である、請求の範囲12の細胞。 14.Rpsポリペプチドによって認識されるシグナルを発生する非病原性遺伝子 を運搬する植物病原体により引き起こされる病気に抵抗性である、請求の範囲13 の植物細胞。 15.植物病原体がavrRpt2遺伝子を運搬する、請求の範囲14の植物細胞。 16.アラビドプシス、トマト、大豆、インゲン豆、トウモロコシ、小麦、およ びイネからなる群より選ばれる、請求の範囲14の植物細胞。 17.植物病原体がシュードモナス・シリンゲ(Pseudomonas syringae)である 、請求の範囲14の植物細胞。 18.プロモーターを含む調節配列に機能的に連結されたavrRpt2遺伝子をさら に含む、請求の範囲13の植物細胞。 19.プロモーターが構成性のプロモーターである、請求の範囲18の植物細胞。 20.プロモーターが1つ以上の外部因子によって誘導されうる、請求の範囲18 の植物細胞。 21.プロモーターが細胞型特異的である、請求の範囲18の植物細胞。 22.ゲノムに取り込まれた請求の範囲1のDNAを含み、該DNAが発現するトラン スジェニック植物。 23.ゲノムに取り込まれた請求の範囲8のDNAを含み、該DNAが発現するトラン スジェニック植物。 24.DNAおよびavrRpt2遺伝子が発現する、請求の範囲18の植物細胞から作出さ れたトランスジェニック植物。 25.請求の範囲22のトランスジェニック植物由来の種子。 26.請求の範囲23のトランスジェニック植物由来の種子。 27.請求の範囲24トランスジェニックの植物由来の種子。 28.請求の範囲22のトランスジェニック植物由来の細胞。 29.請求の範囲23のトランスジェニック植物由来の細胞。 30.植物中に植物病原体に対する抵抗性を提供する方法において、トランスジ ェニック植物細胞のゲノム中に取り込まれ植物細胞において発現できるような位 置にある請求の範囲1のDNAを含むトランスジェニック植物細胞を作製し、該植 物細胞から該DNAが発現しているトランスジェニック植物を生育させることを含 む方法。 31.植物細胞中の抵抗性遺伝子を検出する方法において、図2の配列[配列番号 :1]に対して約50%以上の配列同一性を有するDNA配列を検出できるようなハイブ リダイゼーション条件下で、約18塩基よりも長い請求の範囲1のDNAまたはその 一部を該植物細胞由来のゲノムDNAの調製物と接触させることを含む方法。 32.Rps2ポリペプチドを産生する方法であって、Rps2ポリペプチドをコードし 細胞中で発現できるような位置にあるDNAで形質転換された細胞を提供し、該DNA が発現するような条件下で該形質転換細胞を培養し、該Rps2ポリペプチドを単離 することを含む方法。 33.トランスジェニック植物中に植物病原体に対する抵抗性を提供する方法に おいて、ゲノムの中に取り込まれ植物細胞において発現できるような位置にある 請求の範囲8のDNAを含むトランスジェニック植物細胞を作出し、植物細胞から 該DNAが発現しているトランスジェニック植物を生育させることを含む方法。 34.トランスジェニック植物中に植物病原体に対する抵抗性を提供する方法に おいて、請求の範囲18の植物細胞からDNAおよびavrRpt2遺伝子が発現しているト ランスジェニック植物を生育させることを含む方法。 35.RPS2[配列番号:1]に対して配列同一性を有する植物中の病害抵抗性遺伝子 またはその一部を単離する方法において、 (a)それぞれの長さが13ヌクレオチドより長く、 (b)それぞれが図2のヌクレオチド配列[配列番号:1]の領域内の反対側のDNA鎖 に対して相補的な領域を有し、 (c)場合によって増幅産物の中に制限酵素切断部位を作出することができる配 列を含むヌクレオチドプライマー、を用いて該病害抵抗性遺伝子またはその一部 をPCRによって増幅し、該病害抵抗性遺伝子またはその一部を単離することを含 む方法。 36.実質的に純粋なRps2ポリペプチド。 37.図2に示されているアミノ酸配列[配列番号:2-5]に実質的に同一なアミノ 酸配列を含む、請求の範囲32のポリペプチド。 38.請求の範囲1のDNAを含むベクターであって、ベクター含有細胞中で該DNA によってコードされるペプチドの発現を指令できるベクター。 39.プロモーターを含む調節配列に機能的に連結したavrRpt2[配列番号:105] 遺伝子のDNAを含むベクター。 40.請求の範囲1のDNAと、プロモーターを含む調節配列に機能的に連結したav rRpt2[配列番号:105]遺伝子のDNAとを含むベクター。
