Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.行及び列の表示素子のアレイを有し、光を変調して表示出射光を発生する液 晶パネルと、3本の異なるカラー照明ビームを、互いに異なる角度で前記パネル に入射させる照明手段と、前記パネルからの表示出射光を集光してスクリーン上 に投影する投影レンズとを具え、前記パネルに、その入射側にマイクロレンズ素 子のアレイが設けられ、これらマイクロレンズ素子により3個の異なるカラーの 入射光をアレイ中の各表示素子の組にそれぞれ入射させ、各マイクロレンズ素子 が3個の表示素子から成るグル−プと重なりあうカラー液晶投影表示装置におい て、前記パネルに入射する3本の異なるカラー照明ビームを、パネルの出射側か ら離れた位置においてこれら3本のビームがそれぞれ空間的にほぼ分離された区 域を通過するように互いに及びマイクロレンズアレイのマイクロレンズ素子に対 して選択し、前記位置に前記区域と関連するビームのカラー光以外のカラー光を 除去するフィルタ手段を設けたことを特徴とするカラー液晶投影表示装置。 2.請求項1に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置において、前記3本のビームが前 記投影レンズの開口絞りのほぼ空間的に分離された区域をそれぞれ通過し、前記 フィルタ手段を前記開口絞りの領域に配置したことを特徴とするカラー液晶投影 表示装置。 3.請求項1又は2に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置において、前記マイクロレ ンズ素子により、第3の照明ビームのいずれかの側の2本の照明ビームを、第3 の照明ビームが通過する表示素子のいずれかの側の、この表示素子と直接隣接し ない表示素子を通過させるように構成したことを特徴とするカラー液晶投影表示 装置。 4.請求項3に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置において、前記第3の照明ビーム のいずれかの側の2本の照明ビームの光が、前記第3の照明ビームが通過する表 示素子のいずれかの側の1個の表示素子だけ離れた表示素子にそれぞれ入射する ように構成したことを特徴とするカラー液晶投影表示装置。 5.請求項3に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置において、前記第3の照明ビーム のいずれかの側の2本の照明ビームの光が、前記第3の照明ビームが通過する表 示素子のいずれかの側の3個分の表示素子だけ離れた表示素子にそれぞれ入射す るように構成したことを特徴とするカラー液晶投影表示装置。 6.請求項3から5までのいずれか1項に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置におい て、前記マイクロレンズアレイのマイクロレンズ素子が、表示素子列の3個の隣 接する表示素子の各グル−プとそれぞれ重なりあうことを特徴とするカラー液晶 投影表示装置。 7.請求項3から5までのいずれか1項に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置におい て、前記マイクロレンズアレイのマイクロレンズ素子が、デルタ配置された3個 の隣接する表示素子の各グル−プとそれぞれ重なりあうことを特徴とするカラー 液晶投影表示装置。 8.請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載のカラー液晶投影表示装置におい て、前記照明手段が、白色光源と、白色光を3個の異なるカラー成分光に分離す るダイクロィクミラ−の組とを具え、前記3本の異なるカラーの照明ビームを発 生することを特徴とするカラー液晶投影表示装置。
