【発明の詳細な説明】 発明の目的 (技術分野) 本発明は、プラスチックの接着方法に関し、詳しく述べ
ると、高周波誘導加熱を利用したプラスチックの接着、
または、熱シール方法(以下、単に熱シールという)に
関するものである。すなわち、2枚以上のプラスチック
シート相互を、または、1枚以上のプラスチクシートと
一個以上の形成物とを熱接着する方法のうち、被接着物
の少なくとも一方の接着面を熱接着材料で形成し、また
は、接着面の間に熱接着性材料を挿入し、該熱接着性材
料を加熱して接着する方法に関するものである。
(先行技術) 従来、熱接着性材料を加熱して熱シール方法には、以下
の方法があった。
狭義のヒートシール インパルスシール 超音波シール 高周波誘導を利用したシール 高周波誘導を利用したシール方法であって、加熱媒
体を被接着物の部品として組込み、シールする方法 しかしながら、上記熱シール方法は表1のようなシール
性能を有するため、すなわち、各々が有用な長所を有す
る反面、欠点、例えばシール部が剥離し易かったり、被
接着物の素材の選定範囲が狭かったり、接着するために
別部品を必要としたり、シール面形状の選定範囲が狭か
ったりという欠点も有するため、被接着物がどのような
素材であっても、または、どのようなシール形状であっ
ても熱シールできるという訳ではなかった。
すなわち、シール面に、インパルスシールが困難なレベ
ルの模様が含まれていたり、凹凸が含まれていたりして
シール面が複雑な構造を有するものについては、被接着
物の素材の選定範囲の狭い熱シール方法しかないか、ま
たは、接着用に別の特別な部品を使用する必要があっ
た。そのために、本来使用すべき素材を使用できなかっ
たり、難しい成形方法を採ったり、工程の煩雑化を覚悟
の上また製品への好ましからざる部品の組込みを覚悟の
上、特別な別部品を使用したりしていた。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) したがって、本発明は、従来の熱シール技術の有する問
題点を解決しようとするものである。すなわち、本発明
は、余分な部品を使用することなしにシール面形状の複
雑な熱シールを可能にするシール方法を提供するもので
あり、さらに本発明は、確実な熱シールを実現するため
の手段を提供することにある。
本発明が解決しようとする問題点をさらに詳しく述べる
と、被接着物の素材の選定範囲が広く、熱シール用の別
部品を使用せずに、複雑なシール面形状を有するシール
面をシール部のピンホールの発生が少なく、均一かつ確
実に、しかも、外観良く熱シールする方法を提供するこ
とにある。
発明の構成 (問題点を解決するための手段) 本発明者らは、上記の諸目的を達成すべく、熱シールの
基本原理に戻り、鋭意検討の結果、以下の3項目を満足
する加熱方法を選定すればよいことを見いだした。
被接着物を被接着部の形状に沿った形状の型で押さ
えつけたまま加熱、および、冷却することができる。
発熱体を均一に発熱することのできる面形状の選定
範囲が広い。
シール用に別部品を使用しない。
そこで、各種の加熱方法を調査し、実験を繰り返し行っ
た結果、高周波を反射及び吸収しにくく、さらに耐熱性
を有する支持体と該支持体の被接着物側に支持された高
周波誘導により発熱する加熱媒体より構成される加熱用
の型を、被接着物に直接、または、間接的に少なくとも
一方から押し付け、該加熱媒体を高周波誘導により発熱
させることによって、該熱接着性材料を加熱して該被接
着物を接着することにより、目的の熱シール性が得られ
ることを見いだし本発明に至った。
(構成の具体的な説明) 以下に、本発明を図面を参照しながら具体的に説明す
る。
第1図は、本発明の熱シール方法を有効に利用できる被
接着物の形態の一つをそのシール時の状況とともに示し
たものである。被接着物は2枚の熱可塑性樹脂より成る
シート1と該シート間に挿入された該シートと熱接着性
を有するチューブ2より構成されており、本接着方法に
より第2図のようにシート相互、および、各シートとチ
ューブがスキマ、または、ピンホールがなく接着され
る。また、第3図は、加熱用の型3の詳細図である。す
なわち、高周波を反射及び吸収しにくくかつ耐熱性を有
する素材により成り、接着部の形状に沿った凹凸6を持
つ形態を有する支持体4と該支持体の被接着物側の面に
支持された高周波誘導により発熱する被膜状の加熱媒体
5より構成されている。
本接着方法を第1図ないし第3図を利用して説明すると
次の通りである。被接着物1、および、2に、該加熱用
の型3を薄い耐熱性のシート8を介して両側から押し付
け、高周波誘導用コイル9の下を通すだけで該加熱媒体
5が発熱し、ひいては、シートが加熱・溶融し、該被接
着物を接着するものである。なお、第1図中でチューブ
の中に入っている円柱は、加熱用の金型を押し付けたと
きにチューブが潰れないように保護する芯金7であっ
て、高周波を反射及び吸収しにくい素材により形成され
ている。また、薄い耐熱性のシート8は、被接着物と加
熱用の型離れを良くするために用いたものであって、十
分な冷却後に被接着物を加熱用の型から離すのであれば
必要がないものである。
また、第4−A図は、該加熱用の型3の別の形態であ
る。すなわち、加熱媒体5を支持体4に支持させる別の
方法であり、加熱媒体5はたくさんの小さな部材から成
り、第4−B図に加熱媒体が支持体に支持された部分を
拡大して示したように、各部材は支持体4の被接着物側
表面に抱持されている。また、該加熱用の型3の冷却効
率を良くするために、支持体4に冷却用の流体を流すた
めの空洞11を有するものである。
以上は、本発明を簡単に説明するために、本発明の熱接
着、または、熱シール方法を有効に利用できる接着方法
の一つを選定して説明したものであって、本発明が有効
に利用できる範囲を制限するものではない。すなわち、
2枚以上のプラスチックシート相互を、または、1枚以
上のプラスチクシートと一個以上の形成物とを熱接着す
る方法のうち、該被接着物は高周波誘導により発熱する
加熱媒体を有さず、且つその少なくとも一方の接着面を
熱接着材料で形成し、または該接着面の間に熱接着性材
料を挿入し、該熱接着性材料を加熱して接着する方法で
あって、高周波を反射及び吸収しにくく、さらに耐熱性
を有する支持体と該支持体の被接着物側に支持された高
周波誘導により発熱する加熱媒体より構成される加熱用
の型を、被接着物に直接、または、間接的に少なくとも
一方から押し付け、該加熱媒体を高周波誘導により発熱
させることによって、該熱接着性材料を加熱して該被接
着物を接着する方法であれば、その実施形態がどのよう
な形態であっても本発明の範囲に含まれるものである。
例えば、該プラスチックシートは、単層であっても多層
であっても良く、被接着物の該形成物は、プラスチック
以外にセラミック等の高周波を反射及び吸収しにくい素
材により形成されたものであっても良い。また、熱接着
性材料として、熱可塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂何れの樹脂
も選定することができるし、支持体の素材としては、耐
熱性を有する必要があるといっても、加熱媒体の温度上
昇により変形等を生ずることなく元の形態を保っていれ
ば良く、非磁性のセラミック、または、耐熱性のプラス
チックはもちろんのこと、熱接着性材料の選定によって
は、一般のエンジニアリング樹脂、例えば、ポリカーボ
ネート樹脂等も選定できる。さらに、加熱媒体の素材と
しては、鉄、ニッケル等の磁性を有する金属、および、
それらの含有物、ならびに、磁性鉄等の非金属磁性材
料、および、それらの含有物を選定できるし、それら
の、支持体への支持方法は、前記以外にも各種の方法が
考えられる。
(実施例) 以下に、本発明を実施例に基づきさらに詳細に説明す
る。
第1図において、2枚のポリエチレン樹脂より成るシー
トと該シート間に挿入されたポリエチレン樹脂より成る
チューブにより構成さた被接着物1、および、2が、本
接着方法によりシート相互、および、各シートとチュー
ブがスキマ、または、ピンホールがなく熱シールされる
例である。第3図における加熱用の型3の構成は、支持
体4の素材として高周波を反射及び吸収しにくくかつ耐
熱性を有する人造のスレートを用い、これを2ヶの接着
部の形状に沿った凹凸6を持つ形態に加工し、そして、
各支持体4の被接着物側の面に高周波誘導により発熱す
る加熱媒体5としてニッケルをコーティングした。次
に、被接着物を薄い耐熱性シート8である肉厚0.13mmの
テフロンコーティングガラスクロスを介して2ヶの加熱
用の型3で挾み、押さえ付けたまま高周波誘導用コイル
9の下を通したところ第2図のようにシート相互、およ
び、各シートとチューブがスキマ、または、ピンホール
がなく熱シールされた。この時使用した高周波誘導加熱
装置10は、周波数400KHz、出力5Kwであった。
(発明の効果) 以上にのべたように本発明は、これまでの熱シール方法
では対応することが困難であった被接着物の多くの形態
に対応できる熱シール方法である。すなわち、被接着物
の素材の選定範囲が広く、被接着物の、接着部の形態の
選定範囲が広く、さらには、接着のために特別な部品を
使用せずに熱シールできる接着方法である。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第1図は、本発明の熱シール方法を有効に利用できる被
接着物の形態の一つをそのシール時の状況とともに示し
た斜視図である。第2図は、本発明の方法で熱シールし
た被接着物の接着が終了した状態を示す斜視図である。
第3図は、加熱用の型の詳細を示す斜視図である。ま
た、第4−A図は、該加熱用の型の別の形態を示す斜視
図であり、第4−B図は、加熱媒体を支持体に支持させ

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】2枚以上のプラスチックシート相互を、ま
    たは、1枚以上のプラスチクシートと一個以上の形成物
    を熱接着する方法のうち、該被接着物は、高周波誘導に
    より発熱する加熱媒体を有さず、且つその少なくとも一
    方の接着面を熱接着材料で形成し、又は該接着面の間に
    熱接着性材料を挿入し、該熱接着性材料を加熱して接着
    する方法であって、高周波を反射及び吸収しにくく、さ
    らに耐熱性を有する支持体と該支持体の被接着物側に支
    持された高周波誘導により発熱する加熱媒体より構成さ
    れる加熱用の型を、被接着物に直接、または、間接的に
    少なくとも一方から押し付け、該加熱媒体を高周波誘導
    により発熱させることによって、該熱接着性材料を加熱
    して該被接着物を接着する方法。
  2. 【請求項2】該被接着物の接着部の形状が凹凸、また
    は、模様を有することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1
    項に記載の接着方法。
  3. 【請求項3】被接着物が、2枚のプラスチックシートと
    該シート間に挿入されたチューブ、または、管より構成
    されていることを特徴とする特許請求範囲第1項、また
    は、第2項に記載の接着方法。
  4. 【請求項4】被接着物を構成する部材の素材が、ポリオ
    レフィン系である特許請求範囲第1項ないし第3項の何
    れかに記載の接着方法。
