Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 [発明の目的] (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は、例えば、プラスチツク又は紙の片面
に金属フオイル層と熱可塑性樹脂を順次重ねた材
料で形成した容器蓋と、胴部とで構成するジユー
スの容器等の高周波溶着装置に関するものであ
る。
(従来の技術) 従来の容器製造の装置として、乳酸飲料等に使
用されるように、プラスチツク胴と接着材をコー
テイングしたアルミフオイルシール材によつて、
高周波溶着が可能なように胴の開口部に鍔を設け
て、一定の溶着面積を確保してシート状の蓋を溶
着する装置や、紙、プラスチツクの円筒胴部に金
属蓋を巻き締めする装置が知られている。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) しかしながら、容器の軽量化、使用剤空缶の焼
却処理の問題から金属缶に代るプラスチツク、紙
容器の製品化の要求が多くなつてきている。
又、前者は胴の開口部に鍔を設ける必要があ
り、工程が多く、溶着も面倒な問題点があつた。
そこで、本発明においては蓋を鍔付の凹状に形
成することにより、広い面積の溶着面を形成して
確実に溶着することができる高周波溶着装置を提
供しようとするものである。
[発明の構成] (問題点を解決するための手段) 本発明における容器の高周波溶着装置は、筒状
の容器と容器の開放端に嵌合する外周に鍔を有す
る凹状の蓋との一方に金属フオイル層を設け、こ
の金属フオイル層の溶着面に熱可塑性樹脂層を設
け、先端の径を細く後方の径を太くしたテーパ面
を有し、径方向と直交する方向にスリツトを全体
に設けた2次コイルと、蓋の凹状部に2次コイル
のテーパ面を嵌入して加圧する容器を支持した支
持部材と、2次コイルを挟んで蓋の反対側に2次
コイルに磁気結合するように近接配置した1次コ
イルとから成るものである。
(作用) 本発明においては、筒状をした容器の開放端に
蓋を嵌合し、容器を加圧することにより蓋の凹状
部に2次コイルのテーパ面を嵌入して蓋を外周方
向に拡げて容器と密着させ、1次コイルに高周波
電流を流し、2次コイルに2次電流を流し、金属
フオイル層を加熱して熱可塑性樹脂を溶融して蓋
と容器とを溶着させる。
(実施例) 本発明の構成を図面に示す実施例に基き詳細に
説明すると、1は木材、セラミツク、合成樹脂等
の電気絶縁体若しくは高周波損失の小さい金属
(例えばアルミニユウム)等で形成したターンテ
ーブルで、周縁部よりやや内側に貫通孔2(第2
図参照)を設けて2次コイル3を嵌入保持してい
る。
2次コイル3は第4図に示すように、電気伝導
度が良好な金属でほぼ円筒状に形成する。そし
て、下端部にターンテーブル1に取付けるための
取付用鍔4を水平に突設し、下端から上方に向つ
て径を太くしたテーパ面5を設け、上端から下端
に亘つてスリツト6を設けている。又、2次コイ
ル3の上面には第1図に示すように1次コイル7
を2次コイル3の上面に磁気結合できるように近
接して設置し、高周波電源8からの電流を流し、
1次コイル7の回りに高周波磁界が生じ、2次コ
イル2の上端面が1次コイルに電磁誘導結合され
る。
一方、ターンテーブル1の下方にはこのターン
テーブル1と同期回転するターンテーブル9を設
けている。このターンテーブル9は絶縁材で形成
し、多数の支持部材10の昇降棒11を昇降自在
に嵌入支持している。
各支持部材10は下端に下側水平支持部12を
設け、対向する上側水平支持部13は、下側水平
支持部12よりも短かく形成し、上下側水平支持
部13,12を垂直連結材14で連結し、上側水
平支持部13の反回転方向側に半円形の嵌入部1
5を設けて円筒状をした容器16を嵌合し、容器
16の下面を下側水平支持部12で支持すること
により容器16を保持するようになつている。そ
して、上側水平支持部13の嵌入部15より反回
転方向側上面にアーム17を水平に固定してい
る。
尚、図中18は支持部材10を加圧するための
コイルスプリングである。
又ターンテーブル9の上方には蓋供給具19を
設置している。この蓋供給具19は開放上端外周
に鍔20を有する凹形をした蓋21を供給するよ
うになつており、この蓋供給具19の下端にスト
ツパー22(第5図参照)を設け、ターンテーブ
ル回転方向側に内周側に順次傾斜させた案内板2
3を設け、案内板23の下面に下面支持板24を
水平に設けている。
本実施例は前記のように構成したもので、図示
を省略した容器供給装置から供給された容器16
は支持部材10の嵌入部15に嵌入され、下面を
下側水平支持部12で支持される。そして、ター
ンテーブル2,9の回転に伴ない各支持部材10
が蓋供給具19の下方に位置すると、蓋供給具1
9のストツパー22で係止している蓋21が、ア
ーム17で押されて蓋供給具19から離れ、下面
支持板24で支持され蓋が案内板23との接触に
より内周側に移動し、容器16の開口部に近づき
最終部に開口部上面に嵌合される。
前記の状態においてターンテーブル2,9が回
転し、1次コイル7の下方に位置した際に、カム
等の昇降機構によりコイルスプリング18が加圧
され、昇降棒11を介して支持部材10が上昇
し、蓋21が2次コイル3に嵌合される。2次コ
イル3は下側が下端が細いテーパ状をなしたテー
パ面5で形成されているので、下方からの押圧に
よつて蓋21の凹状部の内面は外周方向に押圧さ
れ、容器16の開口部内側に蓋21を密着する。
前記の状態で1次コイルに高周波を印加する
と、1次コイル7の回りに高周波磁界が生じ2次
コイル3の上面が1次コイル7に電磁誘導結合さ
れる。したがつて、2次コイル3の上面に高周波
の2次電流が誘起し、第4図に矢印で示すように
上面の端面に沿つて流れる。この高周波2次電流
は、スリツト3のところに達すると、このスリツ
ト6の縁部に沿つて下降して下面に至り、次にこ
の下面に沿つて流れるようになる。この時の電流
の向きは、2次コイル3の筒体の上面と下面とで
は逆になる。そして、下面に沿つて流れている高
周波電流はスリツト6のところに達すると、この
スリツト6の他方の縁に沿つて上昇し、上面に至
り、再びこの上面に沿つて流れるようになる。
前記、高周波電流の流れにより容器16の金属
フオイル層が加熱され、金属フオイル層の面に施
された熱可塑性樹脂が溶融して容器16と蓋21
とを溶着する。
尚、容器と蓋とは少なくとも一方が、金属フオ
イル層の片面に熱可塑性樹脂を施し、この熱可塑
性樹脂と他方とが当接できるようなものであれば
よいものである。
又、容器16の加圧手段は各種の機構を用いる
ことができる。
[発明の効果] 本発明においては従来の容器のように容器に鍔
を設ける必要はなく、充分な溶着面積を得ること
ができる。
又、2次コイルのテーパ面により容器と蓋とを
確実に密着させることができるので溶着を確実に
行うことができる。

  1. 1 筒状の容器と容器の開放端に嵌合する外周に
    鍔を有する凹状の蓋との一方に金属フオイル層を
    設け、この金属フオイル層の溶着面に熱可塑性樹
    脂層を設け、先端の径を細く後方の径を太くした
    テーパ面を有し、径方向と直交する方向にスリツ
    トを全体に設けた2次コイルと、蓋の凹状部に2
    次コイルのテーパ面を嵌入して加圧する容器を支
    持した支持部材と、2次コイルを挟んで蓋の反対
    側に2次コイルに磁気結合するように近接配置し
    た1次コイルとから成る容器の高周波溶着装置。
