Description
Claims (10)
- 1.第1の信号を増幅するための手段および該増幅のための手段を制御するため の手段を含む送信機であって、前記増幅のための手段は少なくとも2つの入力、 少なくとも1つの出力を有しかつ飽和点を有し、前記第1の信号は電力レベル、 第1の周波数を有しかつ前記増幅のための手段の前記少なくとも2つの入力の内 の第1のものに結合され、前記増幅のための手段は前記増幅のための手段の前記 少なくとも2つの入力の内の第2のものに結合された第2の信号の電圧に応答し 、前記制御のための手段は、前記増幅のための手段の出力に結合され、前記増幅 のための手段の飽和を検出するための手段、そして前記飽和を検出するための手 段に応答して前記第2の信号を発生するための手段であって、該発生のための手 段は前記検出のための手段の出力に結合されかつ前記増幅のための手段の前記少 なくとも2つの入力の内の前記第2のものに結合され、それにより前記増幅のた めの手段がもはや飽和しないようにするもの、 を具備する送信機。
- 2.前記検出のための手段はさらに、 前記増幅のための手段の出力における前記第1の信号の電力レベルを検出するた めの手段、そして前記電力レベルを検出するための前記手段の出力と第3の信号 との間の差を決定するための手段であって、前記第3の信号は前記増幅のための 手段の電力レベルを制御するために発生されるもの、 をさらに具備する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の送信機。
- 3.前記第2の信号を発生するための前記手段はさらに、飽和を検出しない場合 には、前記第3の信号に等しい信号を発生し、かつ 飽和を検出している間は、飽和を検出しなくなるまで、前記第3の信号から所定 の増分量少ない電圧に等しい電圧を有する信号を発生する、 請求の範囲第1項に記載の送信機。
- 4.前記第2の信号を発生するための前記手段はさらにデジタル信号プロセッサ およびデジタル−アナログ変換器を具備する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の送信機 。
- 5.前記飽和を検出するための手段はさらに差動増幅器を具備する、請求の範囲 第1項に記載の送信機。
- 6.無線電話内に含まれる増幅器コントローラであって、前記無線電話は第1の 信号を増幅するための手段および前記増幅のための手段を制御するための手段を 含み、前記増幅のための手段は少なくとも2つの入力、少なくとも1つの出力、 飽和点を有しかつ第2の信号の電圧に応答し、前記第2の信号は前記増幅のため の手段の前記少なくとも2つの入力の内の第2のものに結合され、前記第1の信 号は電力レベル、第1の周波数を有しかつ前記増幅のための手段の前記少なくと も2つの入力の内の第1のものに結合され、前記増幅器コントローラは、 前記増幅のための手段の出力に結合された前記第1の信号の電力レベルを検出す るための手段、前記電力レベルを検出するための前記手段の出力と第3の信号と の間の差を決定するための手段であって、前記第3の信号は前記増幅のための手 段の電力レベルを制御するために発生されるもの、 前記差および前記増幅のための手段の飽和に対応する第4の信号を発生するため の手段、 飽和がない場合には、前記第3の信号に従って前記第2の信号を発生するための 手段、そして 前記増幅のための手段が飽和している間は、前記第3の信号より所定の増分量だ け低い電圧に等しい電圧を有する前記第2の信号を発生するための手段、を具備 する増幅器コントローラ。
- 7.前記第2の信号を発生するための手段はさらにデジタル信号プロセッサおよ びデジタル−アナログ変換器を具備する、請求の範囲第6項に記載の増幅器コン トローラ。
- 8.前記差を決定するための手段および前記第4の信号を発生するための手段は さらに差動電力増幅器を具備する、請求の範囲第6項に記載の増幅器コントロー ラ。
- 9.増幅器を制御する方法であって、該増幅器は少なくとも第1および第2の入 力、出力、飽和点を有しかつ第2の信号の電圧に応じて第1の信号を増幅し、該 第1の信号は電力レベル、第1の周波数を有しかつ前記増幅器の第1の入力に結 合され、前記第2の信号は前記増幅器の第2の入力に結合され、前記増幅器を制 御する方法は、前記増幅のための手段の出力において前記第1の信号の電力レベ ルを検出する段階、 前記電力レベルを検出する段階の出力と第3の信号との差を決定する段階であっ て、前記第3の信号は前記増幅のための手段の電力レベルを制御するために発生 されるもの、前記差、従って、前記増幅器の飽和に対応する第4の信号を発生す る段階、 飽和がない場合には、前記第3の信号に従って前記第2の信号を発生する段階、 そして 前記増幅のための手段が飽和している場合は、前記第3の信号より所定の増分量 だけ低い電圧に等しい電圧を有する前記第2の信号を発生する段階、 を具備する増幅器を制御する方法。
- 10.前記第3の信号より所定の増分量低い電圧に等しい電圧を有する前記第2 の信号を発生する段階はさらに、前記第4の信号が前記増幅器の飽和に対応する ことを判定する段階、 飽和を判定したことに応じて、前記第2の信号を第1の所定の増分量だけ低減す る段階、 第2の所定の増分量だけ待機する段階、前記第4の信号が前記増幅器の飽和に対 応しないことを判定する段階、そして 前記第2の信号を第3の所定の増分量だけ変化させる段階、 を具備する、請求の範囲第9項に記載の増幅器を制御する方法。
