Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 本発明は交換ベース音声メッセージサービス
からの専用化された挨拶メッセージを提供するための方
法及び装置に関する。 【構成】 長所として、識別された呼者に専用メッセー
ジを残すことができる。本発明はさらに共通チャネル信
号法メッセージ内に受信される複数の番号のどれを特定
の呼に対してＩＣＬＩＤ番号として使用すべきかを決定
するための方法及び装置に関する。候補ＩＣＬＩＤ番号
としては、発呼者の電話機の電話番号、発呼者の発呼カ
ード番号、或は発呼者によって提供される専用の番号が
含まれる。長所として、この構成は、彼等の家或は会社
から離れた所から電話をかけている発呼者を識別するた
めに使用することができる。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は発呼者が識別される入り
電気通信を処理するための構成に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】入り呼者ライン識別（incoming caller
line identification 、ＩＣＬＩＤ）は合衆国において
ますますの普及を示している。ＩＣＬＩＤによって、被
呼顧客は、通常ディスプレイを通じて、発呼者の電話番
号（幾つかの構内交換機においては、名前も含まれる）
を通知することによって発呼顧客の識別が通知される。
この構成は、被呼顧客にだれが呼び出しているかを知ら
せるばかりでなく、複数のローカルエリア信号法サービ
ス（local area signaling services 、ＬＡＳＳ）；つ
まり、所定の番号からの呼のみが別の番号に転送される
選択的呼転送サービス；所定のリストの呼者からの呼の
みが人或はコンピュータシステムに接続される選択的呼
受入サービス；所定のリストの呼者からの呼を除く全て
の呼が完結される選択的呼拒絶サービス；及び所定のリ
ストの呼者からの呼が特別の呼び出し信号によって警告
される選択的個別的警告サービスの基礎となる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】従来の技術の問題はＬ
ＡＳＳ機能を提供するために最も適切なＩＣＬＩＤ番号
が必ずしも自動番号識別（Automatic Number Identific
ation ）によって識別される呼者の電話番号ではないと
いうことである。
【０００４】
【発明の概要】この問題が被呼顧客を扱う電気通信交換
機内において発呼者を扱う交換機からの共通信号法チャ
ネルメッセージ内に受信される複数の番号からこれらメ
ッセージ内においてＩＣＬＩＤ用途として最適な番号で
あると示される番号を決定することによって解決され
る。この番号が次に専用化されたメッセージを選択する
ため及び被呼顧客にＬＡＳＳ機能を提供するために使用
される。
【０００５】
【実施例】図１は本発明の一つの実施例のフローチャー
トである。入り呼ライン識別子（incoming calling lin
e identifier）番号を含む入り呼が受信される（動作ブ
ロック１０１）。この番号は発呼顧客を扱う交換システ
ムからのＩＣＬＩＤ番号識別データを含む共通チャネル
信号法メッセージ内の複数の可能な番号の中からＩＣＬ
ＩＤ番号として識別される。終端交換機が識別データを
調べることによってこれら番号のどれがＩＣＬＩＤとし
て使用されるべきかを決定する。この番号はこの呼に対
して被呼電話機の所で表示されるべきＩＣＬＩＤ番号と
して、並びに音声メッセージ及びＬＡＳＳ機能のために
使用される（動作ブロック１０２）。テスト１０３は被
呼顧客がこうして決定されたＩＣＬＩＤ番号によって識
別される呼者からの呼を受け入れるか否かを調べる。受
け入れないときは、呼には適当な処置、例えば、呼の転
送或は応答しないなどの処置が与えられる（動作ブロッ
ク１０５）。被呼顧客がこのＩＣＬＩＤ番号からの呼を
受け入れる場合は、テスト１０７は被呼顧客の電話機が
ビジーであったり、応答しなかったりしないか調べる。
被呼顧客が電話に出た場合は、この呼は完結する（動作
ブロック１０９）。被呼ラインがビジーであるか或は応
答しない場合は、テスト１１１はその被呼顧客に対して
メッセージの録音が可能であるか否か調べる。可能でな
いときは、呼は切断される（動作ブロック１１３）。そ
の被呼顧客へのメッセージの録音が可能なときは、テス
ト１１５は被呼顧客が選択応答メッセージサービスを持
つか否か決定する。持たない場合は、被呼顧客に対して
標準応答メッセージが選択される（動作ブロック１１
７）。被呼顧客が選択応答メッセージサービスを持つと
きは、ＩＣＬＩＤ番号に従って適当な応答メッセージが
選択される（動作ブロック１１９）。専用の挨拶メッセ
ージを持つＩＣＬＩＤ番号のリスト上の各番号に対し
て、使用されるべき応答メッセージを表わす付加された
メッセージＩＤが存在する。その呼に対して受信された
ＩＣＬＩＤ番号とこのリスト上の番号との間にマッチが
見つかった場合は、この特定の応答メッセージが選択さ
れる。一方、この被呼顧客に対するこのリストのＩＣＬ
ＩＤ番号のいずれともマッチが存在しないときは、その
被呼顧客に対して標準応答メッセージが選択される。次
にブロック１１７或は１１９において選択された応答メ
ッセージが呼者に流される（動作ブロック１２１）。幾
つかのＩＣＬＩＤ番号に対しては、応答メッセージオプ
ションの一つとして応答メッセージがリターンされない
こと、及び／或は入りメッセージが録音されないことが
望ましい。
【０００６】この特定の実現においては、ユーザはＡＴ
＆Ｔによって製造された５ＥＳＳＲ交換機内に提供され
るＡＵＤＩＸTMメッセージングシステムを使用し、挨拶
のための準備を行なうことを催促する追加のＡＵＤＩＸ
プロンプトに応答して、これら専用の挨拶の準備を行な
う。ユーザは次にＬＡＳＳプロンプトに応答してユーザ
によって供給されるメッセージ識別とＬＡＳＳに対する
選択番号リスト上の番号とをＬＡＳＳリスト編集セッシ
ョンにおいて関連付けるためにＬＡＳＳ機能環境に入
る。ＡＵＤＩＸ催促構成及びＬＡＳＳ編集セッションに
ついてはＡＴ＆Ｔによって供給される製造業者小冊子に
おいて説明されている。長所として、ＡＵＤＩＸシステ
ム催促機能及びＬＡＳＳリスト編集機能というこの専用
の能力は下に説明されるように本発明の実現と調和され
た形で使用できる。
【０００７】音声メッセージシステムのユーザはプロン
プトに応答して専用の挨拶を準備する。ユーザは遂行さ
れるべき動作のタイプを表わす数字をキー入力し、続く
プロンプトに応答して、メッセージＩＤを入力する。次
に、ユーザはこのメッセージＩＤをＬＡＳＳ編集セッシ
ョンにおいてＬＡＳＳ選択メッセージリスト上の番号に
与える。システムはまたユーザに専用の挨拶を削除する
ためのコマンドを入力するように催促する。この専用の
挨拶が削除されると、この挨拶がそれに加えられること
になっているＩＣＬＩＤ番号に対して他のメッセージが
使用されるように、或はこれも削除されるように更新さ
れる。専用のメッセージは専用の挨拶に対するメッセー
ジＩＤ番号の１つを指定すること、或はユーザに専用の
挨拶のレパートリを一つ一つ聞かせ、削除されるべき特
定の挨拶を選択することによって削除することができ
る。
【０００８】図２は本発明を図解するためのブロック図
である。二つの電話、つまり、電話機３０１及び３０３
が発信交換機３０５に接続される。発信交換機はプログ
ラム３０９の制御下において動作するプロセッサ３０７
を含む。発信交換機３０５は共通チャネル信号法リンク
３２０（これは、ここには示されない一つ或は複数の信
号転送ポイントを横断することがある）を介して終端交
換機３３１に接続される。終端交換機３３１はプログラ
ム３３５によって制御されるプロセッサ３３３を含む。
終端交換機はＩＣＬＩＤディスプレイ３４７から成るＩ
ＣＬＩＤディスプレイ３４３及び３４５を含む２つの電
話機３４１に接続される。電話機３０１が０＋電話番号
及び発呼カード番号をダイヤルし、発呼カード番号が好
ましいことを示すと、発信交換機３０５は、データトラ
ンシーバ３１０を使用してデータリンク３２０を通じて
発呼カード番号がＩＣＬＩＤ番号である指示を含む共通
チャネル信号法（common channel signaling、ＣＣＳ）
メッセージ３２３を送る。この発呼カード番号が次に終
端電話機３４１に送信される。同様に、電話機３０３は
先頭の＃＃、識別番号（ＩＮ）、区切り文字＊＊、及び
電話番号から成る番号をダイヤルする。このケースにお
いては、発信交換機３０５はプロセッサ３０７及びプロ
グラム３０９の制御下においてこのＩＮがＩＣＬＩＤ番
号であるとこを示すＣＣＳメッセージ３２７を送信す
る。ＣＣＳメッセージは終端交換機３３１のデータトラ
ンシーバ３３６内に受信される。この番号が次にディス
プレイのために終端電話機３４５に転送される。終端交
換機はまた入り音声メッセージを録音し、また専用化さ
れた挨拶メッセージを含む挨拶メッセージを提供するた
めの音声メッセージシステムを含む。
【０００９】電話機３０４は、単に、電話番号及び発信
電話機の電話番号（originating station directory nu
mber、ＯＤＮ）３０４を終端顧客の電話機の所で表示さ
れるべき番号として示す省略時のＣＣＳメッセージをダ
イヤルする。これは、ＯＤＮがＩＣＬＩＤ番号として使
用されるべきことを示すＣＣＳメッセージ３２９内に示
される。
【００１０】この特定の実施例においては、ＩＣＬＩＤ
番号、つまり、被呼顧客の電話機の所に表示される番号
は、プライバシーの制約がないかぎり、上に説明のＬＡ
ＳＳ選択機能及び音声メッセージシステムを制御するた
めに使用されるのと同一番号であると想定され、またこ
れはＩＣＬＩＤが具体的に識別される現在の信号法フォ
ーマットとの関連では最も都合の良い構成であるが、こ
れは、必ずしも、ＬＡＳＳ番号（つまり、ＬＡＳＳ選択
機能に対して使用されるべき番号）とＩＣＬＩＤ番号
（被呼顧客に表示されるべき番号）とが個々が直接に適
当に識別され或は省略によって識別される２つの番号で
あり得る将来の実施例に要求されるものではない。
【００１１】上に説明のように、ＩＣＬＩＤ番号は発呼
顧客の電話番号である必要はなく、識別番号或は発呼カ
ード番号であってもよい。呼者が、例えば、前に来る＃
＃及び終端の＊＊によって正しく識別された識別番号を
ダイヤルするか、或はプロンプトに応答して呼に対して
供給された発呼カード番号を発呼電話機の電話番号の代
わりに使用すべきと言う指示を与えた場合、この代替番
号が発呼電話機の番号の代わりにＬＡＳＳ機能及び挨拶
メッセージの選択と関連するリストのサーチの目的で使
用される。このような構成の長所は、呼者が公衆電話か
ら電話をかけた場合でも、この呼者はこの発呼電話機の
番号が認識されない場合でもその呼者に対して用意され
た専用の挨拶メッセージ或はＬＡＳＳ機能の使用にアク
セスできることである。
【００１２】この識別番号は個人識別番号＋専用電話番
号から構成される。個人識別番号が交換機３３１内に格
納された番号とマッチすると、専用電話番号が表示のた
め、ＬＡＳＳ機能のため、及び専用挨拶メッセージにク
アセスするためのＩＣＬＩＤ番号として使用される。
【００１３】現時点においては、発信交換機と終端交換
機との間のＣＣＳメッセージは発呼電話番号及び発呼カ
ード番号の両方を含む複数の番号を含む。本発明を実現
するにあたっては、得られた発呼者識別のために使用さ
れるべき番号を識別する標識データを収容するためにＣ
ＣＳメッセージ内の１バイト空間のみの割り当てが要求
される。この好ましい実施例においては、発呼者が識別
番号をキー入力した場合、この番号は、終端交換機に伝
送される初期アドレスメッセージ（Initial Address Me
ssage （ＩＡＭ）の現在未使用の欄を使用して送信され
なければならない。
【００１４】上の説明は本発明の好ましい実施例の１つ
に関してのものである。当業者においては、本発明の範
囲から逸脱することなく、多くの他の構成を考えること
ができるものであり、従って、本発明は、特許請求項に
よってのみ限定されるものである。

Claims (6)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 呼を処理するための方法において、該方
    法が：複数の番号及び該複数の番号のどれが該呼に対す
    る入り発呼者ライン識別（ＩＣＬＩＤ）番号として使用
    されるべきかの指示データを受信するステップ；及び該
    指示データから該呼を処理するためのＩＣＬＩＤ番号で
    あると決定された番号を使用するステップを含むことを
    特徴とする方法。
  2. 【請求項２】 該番号を使用するステップが該番号を被
    呼電話機に表示するために伝送するステップを含むこと
    を特徴とする請求項１の方法。
  3. 【請求項３】 該番号を使用するステップが該ＩＣＬＩ
    Ｄ番号を該呼の被呼顧客に対するＬＡＳＳ機能のための
    ＩＣＬＩＤ番号として使用するステップを含むことを特
    徴とする請求項１の方法。
  4. 【請求項４】 該使用ステップが：該呼に対してメッセ
    ージサービスが提供されるべきであるという決定に応答
    して、該ＩＣＬＩＤ番号を１つの専用の挨拶メッセージ
    に対応する格納されたＩＣＬＩＤ番号と比較するステッ
    プ；及び該受信されたＩＣＬＩＤ番号が該格納された番
    号の１つと一致する場合、該一致した格納番号に対応す
    る挨拶メッセージを該呼にリターンするステップを含む
    ことを特徴とする請求項１の方法。
  5. 【請求項５】 該受信ステップが該番号及び該指示デー
    タを含む共通チャネル信号法（ＣＣＳ）メッセージを受
    信するステップから成ることを特徴とする請求項１の方
    法。
  6. 【請求項６】 電話呼を処理するための装置において、
    該装置が：共通チャネル信号法メッセージを受信するた
    めの手段；及びプログラムの制御下において該呼に対す
    るメッセージを処理するために動作するプロセッサ手段
    を含み、該メッセージが複数の番号及び該複数の番号の
    どれが該呼に対するＩＣＬＩＤ番号として使用されるべ
    きかを指示する該呼に対するＩＣＬＩＤ番号を決定する
    ための指示データを含み、該プロセッサ手段がこうして
    決定されたＩＣＬＩＤ番号を使用し、被呼顧客からの前
    に格納された該決定されたＩＣＬＩＤ番号からの呼をい
    かに処理すべきかという指示に応答して該呼を処理する
    ことを特徴とする装置。
