Claims (4)
- 1.異なる初期ハンドシェーク信号を採用する種々の型のモデムと通信するため のマルチモード・モデムであって、前記種々の型のモデムのハンドシェーク信号 に対応する一連の信号を送出する装置であって、該一連の信号が、前記種々の型 のモデムの特定の1つを識別する適切な応答を受信するとき終了するようになさ れた装置と、 前記の受信された信号から前記の特定の型のモデムを同時に決定する装置と、 を具備するマルチモード・モデム。
- 2.前記種々の型のモデムがV.32及びV.22bisを含む請求項1記載の マルチモード・モデム。
- 3.V.32の信号が、送信された最初の信号である請求項2記載のマルチモー ド・モデム。
- 4.一連の前記ハンドシェーク信号が、初期接続後のある時点で動作モードを変 更するために採用される請求項1記載のマルチモード・モデム。
