溶 接 棒
技術分野
本発明は、ポリ塩化ビニルなどの少なくとも半透明の熱融解性プラスチック材料
からなる溶接棒に関する。
背景技術
床および壁に取り付けられるプラスチック材料の長物は、通常、必要な密封効果
を得るために互いに溶接されなければならない。溶接は、その間にPvC単独重
合体または共重合体が溶媒に溶解し、その結果溶液が長物間の結合に利用される
という化学溶接であるか、または、結合部に適用され、プラスチック材料と共に
加熱され融解される溶接棒が使用されている。化学溶接は、低い固形成分であっ
て、更に結合部を不十分に充填するという不利を有している。失敗することも多
く、そして結合は水密ではないであろう。更に、その強度および破壊時伸びは低
い。一方、溶接棒は耐密結合を与えるが、これは余り魅力的ではない。その理由
は、多少パターン化された長物の材料と区別されるかなり広い平らな部分を生ず
るからである。長物と溶接棒の色がマツチしていなければ、顕著な色偏差が生じ
てしまうが、プラスチック材料の色はしばしば異なることから、この色合せは困
難である。現在の長物のプラスチック材料は深さの効果を有し、これは、平坦で
発散する外観を有し更に汚れているという印象を与える溶接棒では得ることがで
きない。
発明の開示
本発明は、上記不利を解消し、かつ、溶接棒での溶接において、長物の色スキー
ムとよくマツチし且つ深さの魅力的な効果を有する着色部分との溶接によって、
長物の材料と溶接棒との間で満足できるカラーマツチを生じさせることを目的と
する。このことは、真珠箔顔料を溶接棒の原料であるプラスチック材料と混合す
ることで達成される。着色粒子および顔料も、好ましくは、ロッド材料と混合さ
れる。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
所望のカラーマツチは、真珠箔顔料がロッドにある種の不透明度を付与すること
で得られる。真珠箔顔料、着色粒子および長物の端は、溶接棒が長物の色を得る
よう光学的に協同する。また、溶接棒の色はこの文脈で使用してもよい。真珠箔
顔料は、光沢を色スキームに加える。
着色粒子、例えば着色された可塑化安定化5−pvcは、長物材料のパターンお
よび色スキームに応じて適量で溶接棒材料に混和し、パターン化効果を生ずる。
溶接棒が半透明であるので、切り口の表面以下に配置された着色粒子も見ること
ができる。このようにして、深さの汚れ隠蔽効果が得られる。
本発明の一態様を以下に詳述する。
フィラーロッドは、好ましくは、可塑化半透明から完全に透明なPVCまたはP
VCと塩化ビニル/酢酸ビニル共重合体との混合物からなる。好ましい可塑剤は
、汚れおよびクリーニングの見地から許容できるBBPまたはその他のものであ
る。通常のPvC安定剤、例えば、BaZnおよびSn系、を使用してもよい。
適量の潤滑剤、例えばステアリン酸ロウなど、を加える。
実験は、下記組成物が有用であることを示した。

真珠箔顔料 0.5
パターン化溶接棒が望まれるならば、着色粒子は、上記のように製造時にロッド
材料に混和する。

パターン化材料は、上記のような溶接棒材料に混和する時には、後者に溶融して
はならない。その理由は、パターンが失われるであろうからである。これに鑑み
て、パターン化材料は、溶接棒材料よりも高い融点を有していなければならない
、パターン化材料は、通常、溶接棒材料に混和するが、このことは、若干の応用
の場合には絶対的には必要ではない。
現在の溶接棒と同様に、この説明に従つて調製された溶接棒は、長物間の結合に
適用し、溶接工具により、または熱風の供給により加熱される。溶接部が凝固し
た時に過剰の材料を切り取る。

- 1.ポリ塩化ビニルなどの少なくとも半透明の熱融解性プラスチック材料からな るフィラーロッドであって、真珠箔顔料がプラスチック材料と混合されてなるこ とを特徴とするフィラーロッド。
- 2.プラスチック材料が、プラスチック材料よりも高い融点を有する着色粒子も 含有する、請求項1に記載のフィラーロッド。
