Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は、潤滑油組成物、さらに詳しくは、耐
摩耗性及び低摩擦性の改良された、ホウ素含有清
浄分散剤を含有する緩衝器用流体組成物に関する
ものである。 従来、内燃機関用のホウ素含有清浄分散剤とし
ては、例えば、アルキレンアミンとホウ素化合物
との反応生成物にアルキル置換コハク酸無水物を
反応させた生成物(特公昭42−8013号公報、炭化
水素置換コハク酸無水物とホウ素化合物との反応
生成物にアルキレンアミンを反応させた生成物
(特公昭42−8014号公報)、アルケニルコハク酸無
水物にヒドロキシ化第1級アミンとホウ素化合物
を反応させた生成物(特開昭51−52381号公報)、
芳香族多価カルボン酸とアルケニルコハク酸とポ
リアルキレンポリアミンとを特定のモル比で反応
させた生成物にホウ素化合物を反応させて得られ
る生成物(特開昭51−130408号公報)、アミノア
ルコールとホウ酸とオキシエタンカルボン酸との
縮合生成物(特開昭54−87705号公報)、ポリアル
ケニルコハク酸無水物に、ポリアルキレングライ
コール、第2級アルカノールアミン及びホウ素化
合物を順次反応させて得られる生成物などが種々
知られている。 これらのホウ素含有清浄分散剤は、自動車用エ
ンジンオイル等内燃機関用の潤滑油に添加するこ
とにより、潤滑油中の不溶性混入物を分散させ、
内燃機関内でのスラツジの発生を防止させると共
に、さらに潤滑油が接触する金属部分の腐食防止
などの効果を示すことが知られている。 ところで、このようなホウ素含有清浄分散剤を
例えば自動車の乗り心地を良くするため振動を吸
収する緩衝器(シヨツクアブソーバー)やバンパ
ーの衝撃吸収装置、航空機の離着陸時の衝撃吸収
油圧緩衝器、ドアーチエツカーなどに用いる作動
油、いわゆる緩衝器用流体に応用した思想は今ま
だ見当らない。 これら緩衝器用流体、特に自動車用緩衝器用流
体に要求される特性は主に次の点である。 (i) 耐摩耗性が良いこと(耐久性) (ii) 摩擦係数が低いこと(乗心地) (iii) シールを侵さないこと(液もれによる機能低
下防止) 耐摩耗、低摩擦については従来、極圧剤や油性
剤がその効果を持つものとして広く利用された
が、緩衝器用としては、ロツドとガイド、ロツド
とシール、ピストンとシリンダー等多岐にわたる
摩擦の組合せがある上に、シールへの悪影響があ
るものが多く、また広範囲の使用温度に耐えねば
ならないため、充分満足できるものを得ることが
困難であつた。そこで我々は実際の条件に近い状
態で緩衝器用流体の性能評価を重ねた結果、驚く
べきことに上記で紹介したホウ素含有清浄分散剤
をリン酸エステルと共に潤滑油基油と組合わせる
ことによつてこれらの目的を満足させることがで
きた。 即ち、本発明よれば、潤滑油基油にホウ素含有
清浄分散剤とリン酸エステルを適量含有させたこ
とを特徴とする緩衝器用流体組成物が提供され
る。 本発明における潤滑油基油としては、従来慣用
されている種々の石油系あるいは合成系潤滑油が
用いられ、好ましくは40℃における粘度5〜
50cst及びアニリン点60〜100のものが適用され
る。 また、本発明におけるホウ素含有清浄分散剤と
しては、従来公知のものが適用され、脂肪酸とア
ミン化合物との反応によつて得られるアミド化合
物に、ホウ素化合物(ホウ酸、ホウ酸塩、ホウ酸
エステルなど)を反応させて得られた生成物、炭
化水素置換コハク酸イミドとホウ素化合物との反
応生成物及びその誘導体などが包含され、より具
体的には、例えば、前記したような特公昭42−
8013号公報、特公昭42−8014号公報、特開昭51−
52381号公報、特開昭51−130408号公報、特開昭
54−87705号公報、特開昭55−157688号公報に記
載のもの及び米国特許第2568472号明細書などに
記載されたものなどが挙げられる。 このようなホウ素含有清浄分散剤の使用量は、
潤滑油基油中、ホウ素量で10〜1000ppm(重量)
の範囲にするのがよい。 本発明においては、前記したようなホウ素含有
清浄分散剤とともに高められた耐摩耗性と低摩擦
性を得るために、さらにリン酸エステルを添加す
る。このようなリン酸エステルとしては、一般式 (前記式中、R1,R2はC4〜C20の飽和又は不飽
和アルキル基、アリール基又はアルキル置換アリ
ール基で、R1,R2は同一でも異なつてもよい) で表わされるものが好ましく適用される。また、
これらリン酸エステルとアミン化合物との反応生
成物も使用できる。このようなリン酸エステルの
具体例としては、一般式(),()に該当する
ものに関し、ブチルアシツドフオスフエート、2
−エチルヘキシルアシツドフオスフエート、ラウ
リルアシツドフオスフエート、オレイルアシツド
フオスフエートなどが挙げられる。一般式()
に該当するものに関し、ジプチルハイドロゲンフ
オスフアイト、ジウラリルハイドロゲンフオスフ
アイト、ジステアリルハイドロゲンフオスフアイ
ト、ジオレイルハイドロゲンフオスフアイト、ジ
フエニルハイドロゲンフオスフアイトなどが挙げ
られる。本発明においては、このリン酸エステル
は、潤滑油基油中、リン含量で50〜5000ppm(重
量)の範囲で添加される。 本発明の組成物に対しては、その目的を阻害し
ない限り、慣用の補助成分を添加することがで
き、本発明の場合、殊に油性剤、例えば、油脂、
脂肪酸、脂肪酸とアルコールとのモノエステル、
脂肪酸とソルビタンやグリセリン等多価アルコー
ルとのエステルあるいは多価カルボン酸とアルコ
ールとのエステルなどを添加するのがよく、その
添加量は通常0.05〜10重量%の範囲である。ま
た、従来用いてきた耐摩耗剤としてジアルキルジ
チオリン酸塩、ジアルキルジチオカルバミン酸
塩、リン硫化テルペン、トリアルキルフオスフエ
ート、トリアリールフオスフエート、トリアルキ
ルフオスフアイト、トリアリールフオスフアイト
を添加することも良い。さらに、必要に応じ、粘
度指数向上剤、酸化防止剤なども添加することが
できる。 次に本発明を実施例によりさらに詳細に説明す
る。 実施例 自動車用緩衝器(シヨツクアプソーバー)を用
いて、種々の流体組成物の性能評価を行つた。摩
擦力測定のためには、第1図に示す構造の緩衝器
(ガス封入式)を用いた。第1図において、1は
シリンダー、2はピストン、3はガイド、4はロ
ツドであり、5はアイ、6はフリーピストンであ
る。このシリンダー内の空間Aには緩衝器用流体
が充填され、空間Bには窒素ガスが充填されてい
る。摩擦力測定には、ロツド4を高速で上下さ
せ、ロツド4の上下に必要な力を摩擦力とした。
この場合の緩衝器作動条件は次の通りである。 ストローク ±5mm 回転数 0.01Hz 横荷重 0〜20Kg/cm2 ガス封入圧 15Kg/cm2 なお、前記した横荷重は、第1図において矢印
で示すようにストロークの方向に対して垂直な方
向にシリンダーに加える荷重である。 次に、耐摩耗性を測定するために、第2図に示
す構造のシヨツクアブソーバー(ストラツト型)
を用いた。この図において、10はシリンダー、
11はピストン、12はガイド、13はロツド、
14はアイである。シリンダー内空間Cには緩衝
器用流体が充填されている。緩衝器用流体組成物
は、シリンダーとピストン、ロツドとシール及び
ガイドとの間の潤滑に適用された。この場合の緩
衝器の作動条件は次の通りである。 ストローク ±25mm ストローク速度 180回/分 横荷重(矢印方向) 20Kg/cm2 緩衝器用流体組成物の耐摩耗性(傷付耐久性)
はロツドの外観を観察し、そのくもり、傷の発生
を観察することにより行つた。その結果を次表に
示す。 なお、本発明で用にる緩衝器用流体組成物の潤
滑油成分は次の通りである。 潤滑油基油 石油系潤滑油(40℃における粘度15cst) 清浄分散剤 A: イソステアリン酸とテトラエチレンペンタ
ミンとの反応生成物にホウ酸を反応させた生成
物 B: ポリイソブテニルコハク酸(分子量1000)
とテトラエチレンペンタミンとから得られるイ
ミドにホウ酸を反応させた生成物 リン酸エステル A:ジラウリルハイドロゲンホスフアイト ((C12H35O)2−P−OH) B:オレイルアシツドフオスフエート 油性剤 ステアリン酸 粘度指数向上剤 ポリメタアクリレート 酸化防止剤 2,6−ジ−tert−ブチル−P−ク
レゾール また、耐摩耗性(ロツドの傷付耐久性)の評価
を示す各符号は次のことを意味する。 〇……変化なし(クリア) 〓……くもり発生 △……キズ発生 なお、摩擦力測定結果の中で×を付したものは
ビビリ現象が生じたことを表わす。ビビリ現象と
は、シリンダーとピストン、ロツドとガイドの間
で振動や異音を生ずる現象である。
【表】 前記表に示した結果から、従来の振子試験法で
は、本発明品と比較品とはその性能に関し格別の
差異がないように見られるが、実際の使用条件に
近似した条件では、本発明と比較品とは明確な性
能上の差異を与え、本発明品の方が優れているこ
とは明らかである。殊に、リン酸エステルを含ま
ない比較品No.3の場合は、横荷重が大きくなるに
つれて、摩擦力が大きくなり、かつビビリを発生
することがわかる。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 潤滑油基油中に、 (i) ホウ素含有清浄分散剤、及び (ii) リン酸エステル を適量含有させたことを特徴とする緩衝器用流体
    組成物。
