Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明はプラスチック管の溶着接合方法、とりわけオレ
フィン系のプラスチック管とスリーブ継手とを溶着接合
する場合、管内に発生するビード環による弊害を解消す
るための溶着接合方法に関するものである。
(従来技術とその課題) プラスチックのうち、ポリブチレン、ポリプロピレン、
ポリエチレン等のオレフィン系のプラスチックにおいて
は、接着剤による接着が不可能乃至困難であるので、こ
れらの接合手段は加熱溶着に依らざるを得ない。
従来、オレフィン系のプラスチック管とスリーブ継手と
を接合する場合、受口内面を加熱軟化したスリーブ継手
に、外面を加熱軟化した管端部を圧挿すると、第6図の
断面図で示すように接合端部にと−ド環(パリ)が発生
し、これにより有効内径が小さくなり、通水に支障をき
たすのみならず、小口径管の場合には閉塞する虞れがあ
る等の問題がある。
(課題を解決するための手段) 本発明は上記課題を解決するものであってその要旨は、
プラスチック管とプラスチックスリーブ継手とを溶着接
合する方法において、加熱治具を用いてプラスチック管
の端部外面並びにこれに外挿するプラスチック短管の内
面を加熱軟化したのち、両者を嵌合し一体に溶着して二
重管部を形成し、次いで該二重管部の先端を切除してか
ら二重管部の外面並びにこれに外挿するスリーブ継手の
受口内面を加熱治具の圧挿により加熱軟化したのち、両
者を嵌合して一体に溶着することを特徴とするプラスチ
ック管の溶着接合方法である。
(実施例) 以下、本発明を実施例図面にて詳細に説明する。
第1図〜第5図は、本発明を説明するための断面図であ
る。
本発明は、先ず第1図に示すプラスチック管(以下「管
」という)1の管端部11の外面と、鎖管1の外径と略
内径を同じくするプラスチック短管(以下「短管Jとい
う)2の内面とを、第4図に示すような加熱治具5を用
いて同時に加熱してのち、矢印の如く短管2を管1の管
端部11に外挿して両者を一体に溶着すると、第2図に
示すように接合端部にビード環4を生ずるので、該発生
しなビード環4を含む管端部11を短管2と共にA−A
線にて切断除去する。
そして第3図に示すような管端部11に短管2の肉厚が
加わった長さどの二重管部21が一体に形成される。 
次いで、第4図に示すように上記管端部11に形成した
二重管部21の外面及び該二重管部21の外径と略内径
を同じくするスリーブ継手3の受口内面を加熱治具5に
より同時に加熱して軟化溶融させる。
しかるのち、第5図に示すように管lの管端部11、即
ち二重管部21をスリーブ継手3に嵌合するに当り、ス
リーブ継手3の受口の深さLより管1の二重管部21の
長さlをやや小さく設定して嵌合し、両者を一体に溶着
接合する。
そして接合端部に発生するビード環4は二重管部21の
外面とスリーブ継手3の受口内面との接合箇所から前方
へ押し出され、二重管部21の肉厚以内の大きさに収ま
る。 即ちと−ド環4は二重管部21の先端とスリーブ
継手3のストッパー31の間にあってその内径は、管1
及びスリーブ継手3のストッパー31の内径以下に収ま
る。
上記実施例では、二重管部を形成した管をスリーブ継手
の片側に溶着接合する場合について記述したが、スリー
ブ継手の反対側にも同様手順により管を接合できること
は勿論である。
また本発明で用いる管、短管、スリーブ継手等は何れも
オレフィン系プラスチックよりなるものである。
(発明の効果) 本発明は上記構成よりなるので、下記効果を奏する。
即ち、予め管の端部に短管を外挿溶着して一体となしな
二重管部を形成しておき、この二重管部をスリーブ継手
に溶着接合するので、発生するビード環が二重管部の肉
厚以内の厚みとなり、管の内径より内方へ突出して有効
内径が小さくなることによる通水支障を来たすことがな
くなり、また小口径管の場合であっても発生したビード
環によって管が閉塞する等の現象もなくなり多大の効果
を奏する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. プラスチック管とプラスチックスリーブ継手とを溶着接
    合する方法において、加熱治具を用いてプラスチック管
    の端部外面並びにこれに外挿するプラスチック短管の内
    面を加熱軟化したのち、両者を嵌合し一体に溶着して二
    重管部を形成し、次いで該二重管部の先端を切除してか
    ら二重管部の外面並びにこれに外挿するスリーブ継手の
    受口内面を加熱治具の圧挿により加熱軟化したのち、両
    者を嵌合して一体に溶着することを特徴とするプラスチ
    ック管の溶着接合方法。
