Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 <産業上の利用分野> この発明は多次元的な曲りを有する継手付き補
強ゴムホースの製造方法に関する。さらに詳しく
は、ホース継手が環状空間を形成するニツプルと
スリーブとを具備し、ゴムホースとホース継手の
締結は、スリーブをカシメ加工して行なう継手付
き補強ゴムホースの製造方法に関する。
<従来の技術> 従来の多次元的な曲りを有する補強ゴムホース
の製造方法としては、ホース継手とは異なる蒸気
吹込用継手をゴムホースの両端部に装着した後成
形する蒸気加圧成形法と、成形用マンドレルをゴ
ムホース内へ挿入して曲りをもつゴムホースを成
形するマンドレル成形法がある。
<発明が解決しようとする課題> しかし、前者蒸気加圧成形法の場合、ゴム材料
の流れによりゴムホースの両端部に補強糸がない
部分が形成されるため、成形後蒸気吹込用継手装
置部付近のゴムホースを切断する必要がある。
また、後者マンドレル成形法の場合、加硫成形
状態のゴムホースから前記マンドレルを簡単に抜
取ることができないという欠点がある。
この発明は前記の事情にかんがみて、ゴムホー
スの性能を害することなく、多次元的な曲りをも
つゴムホースを簡単に製造できる継手付き補強ゴ
ムホースの製造方法を提供することを目的とす
る。
<課題を解決するための手段> 上記課題を解決するために、この発明の要旨と
するところは、両端部にニツプルとスリーブを備
えた継手を装着した未加硫ゴムホースを、多次元
的な曲りキヤビテイを具備する割り金型に定置
し、未加硫ゴムホース内に前記両継手を介して加
圧状態の熱媒流体を通過させるとともに、金型を
加熱することにより、未加硫ゴムホースを内外両
面から加圧加熱しつつ加硫成形した後、継手のス
リーブをカシメ加工してホース継手と加硫後のゴ
ムホースとを締結して補強継手付きゴムホースを
製造することにある。
<実施例> 以下、第1〜5図を参照しながらこの発明方法
の実施例を説明する。
ここでは、ニツプル1aとスリーブ1b及び接
続用ナツト1cとからなるホース継手1と、1層
の補強層2aを有する補強未加硫ホース2とを用
いて継手付き補強ゴムホースを製造する場合を例
に採り説明する。
まず、必然的ではないが、好ましくは、第1図
に示すようにあらかじめホース継手1のニツプル
面1d、スリーブ内面1e付近に液状接着剤を適
量塗布し、さらに未加硫ゴムホース2の端部2b
付近に液状接着剤を適量塗布する。なお第1図は
一方のホース継手1および未加硫ゴムホース2の
端部を示すが、他方のホース継手1および未加硫
ゴムホース2の端部にも同様に液状接着剤を塗布
する。この接着剤塗布は、後述のホース継手1を
未加硫ゴムホース2の両端に装着後の移動を確実
に阻止し、さらには、ホース継手1のスリーブ1
bをカシメ加工した後のホース継手・ゴムホース
間のシール性を向上させるためである。
つぎに慣用手段で第2図に示すようにホース継
手1のニツプル1aとスリーブ1bとで形成され
る環状空間1f内へ未加硫ゴムホース2の端部2
aを挿入する。こうして未加硫ゴムホース2の両
端部にホース継手1が装着された未加硫ゴムホー
スが得られる。
つぎに、三次元的な曲りキヤビテイ3aが刻設
された割り金型3A,3Bを用意し、該割り金型
3A,3Bを成形プレスに組み込む。即ち、割り
金型の一方(下型)3Aは、基体10に取り付け
られた下熱盤6に固定され、割り金型の他方(上
型)3Bは、ラム4に取り付けられた上熱盤5に
固定されている。
そして、上記下型3Aの曲りキヤビテイ3aに
上記ホース継手1A,1Bが装着された未加硫ゴ
ムホース2を嵌め込み、上型3Bと型合せ、即ち
型閉して、未加硫ゴムホース2を金型3に定置す
る。
その後、一方のホース継手1Aに給気圧力計1
2およびバルブ11が接続されている導管7を接
続し、他方のホース継手1Bに排気圧力計13お
よびバルブ14が接続されている導管8を接続す
る。つぎに図示しない蒸気源から高温蒸気を上熱
盤5および下熱盤6に供給して割り金型3A,3
Bを約160℃に加熱する同時に、ラム4を降下さ
せて金型3A,3Bの型閉じを行う。また前記バ
ルブ11,14を開放して前記高温蒸気(熱媒流
体)を導管7、ゴムホース2、導管8をへてドレ
ンピツト9へ供給する(この場合、ゴムホース2
内の蒸気圧は約6Kg/cm2以上に調整する)。こうし
て前記未加硫ゴムホース2は内外両面から加熱お
よび加圧されて多次元的な形状に加硫成形され
る。つぎにラム4を所定位置へ上昇させて割り金
型3A,3Bを型開きする。
その後継手付きゴムホースを下型3Aから取出
し、適当手段で第5図に示すように継手1のスリ
ーブ1bをカシメ加工、即ちカシメ部1gを形成
して、ホース継手1と加硫後のゴムホース2との
締結を終える。
<発明の作用・効果> 以上のように、この発明方法により両端に継手
が装着された未加硫ゴムホースを加硫成形する場
合、ゴムホースは未加硫状態で容易に屈曲できる
ため、多次元的な曲りをもつキヤビテイが刻設さ
れている金型へ簡単に定置させることができ、つ
いで型閉じ状態の下でゴムホースは上下熱盤と接
触している金型からの伝熱作用と、ゴムホース内
へ導入する熱媒流体の伝熱作用および加圧作用を
受けて加硫成形される。
この場合、ホース継手は実体用継手であるから
加硫成形後取外す必要がなく、また従来法のよう
に加硫成形後ゴムホースの両端部を切断する必要
がなく、さらにゴムホース内に成形用マンドレル
を挿入する必要もないため、製造工程時間が著し
く短縮できる。
また、この発明方法によつて製造した継手付き
ゴムホーは加硫時にホース継手が装着されている
ので、ゴムホースとホース継手とのシール性が良
好で、しかも従来法にくらべて簡単に多次元的な
曲りを付与することが可能で、製造工程時間も短
縮でき、またゴムホースが具備する本来のシール
性、強度等の性能を100%有効に活用できるとい
う特徴を発揮する。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 下記工程順からなる構成の両端部に継手を有
    する継手付き補強ゴムホースの製造方法。 (a) 補強層を有する未加硫ゴムホースの両端部を
    各ホース継手のニツプルとスリーブとで形成さ
    れる環状空間に挿入して、未加硫ゴムホースの
    両端にホース継手を装着する工程。 (b) 割り金型に刻設された所定の多次元的な曲り
    キヤビテイに前記未加硫ゴムホースを嵌め込
    み、型閉して、未加硫ゴムホースを前記割り金
    型に定置する工程。 (c) 前記両ホース継手を利用して加圧状態の熱媒
    流体を前記未加硫ゴムホース内を通過させると
    ともに、金型を加熱して、前記未加硫ゴムホー
    スを内外面から加熱及び加圧して加硫成形する
    工程。 (d) 前記継手のスリーブをカシメ加工して前記ホ
    ース継手と加硫後のゴムホースとを締結する工
    程。
