Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の利用分野〕 本発明はポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂製フィルムを
使用した保谷性の優れた食品包装袋に係わる。
〔従来の技術とその問題点〕
お茶、コーヒー等の嗜好品やチョコレート、ビスケット
類の菓子或いはキムチ、タクアン等     ′の漬物
類の包装には従来から複合フィルムが多く使用されてい
る。複合フィルムを用いる理由は、保谷性の優れた単層
のフィルムではヒートシール性が悪く、製袋が困難であ
るため、ヒートシール性の優れたフィルムと複合化する
ことにより用いているのである。し力)し、フィルム同
士を積層するためこれらは生産性が悪く、経済的でなく
、又その接着部が剥離する場合かあり、包装用素材とし
て適切でない。又、斯かる複合フィルムにおいては、製
袋のためヒートシール性の優れたフィルム、例えばポリ
エチレンやポリプロピレン等のオレフィン類のフィルム
を食品と接する内装に使用することになるが、これらは
ポリ臭と呼ばれる樹脂特有の臭いがあるため、内容物の
香りを損なう場合が多い。
又、ここで用いられる保香性の優れたフィルムとしては
、ナイロン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、ポリアク
リロニトリル等が知られているが、安価なインフレーシ
ョン成形法によりフィルムを製造することができず、T
ダイ法で製造する必要があるため高価なものとなる。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明者等はこれらの問題点を解決するため検討した結
果、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂製フィルムが保香
性を有し、かつヒートシール性を有しているため、食品
包装袋の素材として極めて優れた性質を有することを見
出し、更にポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂の材質及び
フィルム成形条件を選べば経済的にインフレーション成
形法でフィルム化でき、しかも該フィルムは単層でも十
分な強度を有することを見出して、本発明を完成するに
至った。
即ち本発明は、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂からな
るフィルムをヒートシールにより製袋してなる保香性の
優れた食品包装袋を提供するものである。
本発明で使用するポリブチレンテレフタレートとは、1
.4−ブタンジオールとテレフタール酸又はその低級ア
ルコールとのエステルを縮合して得られるポリエステル
であり、ポリブチレンテレフタレートを主体とする共重
合体であってもよい。
又ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂には一般の熱可塑性
樹脂及び熱硬化性樹脂に添加される公知の物質を要求性
能に応じ適宜使用することができる。又、本発明の効果
を阻害しない範囲で、目的に応じ少量の他の熱可塑性樹
脂や無機充填剤を補助的に添加使用することもできる。
本発明において、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂をフ
ィルム化する方法は特に限定されるものではない。
インフレーション法はポリエチレンをフィルムに成形す
る場合によく用いられている方法であって、環状の押出
成形口金からプラスチックスを管状に押出し、管内に空
気など流体を吹き込み脹らませて管状のフィルムを成形
する方法である。Tダイ法は線状スリット押出成形口金
から押出しフィルムに成形するもので、その生産性は圧
倒的にインフレーション法が優っている。しかしインフ
レーション法は樹脂材料が限定されるので如何なる樹脂
にも適用可能とはいえず、ポリブチレンテレフタレート
樹脂には適用できないものと考えられていた。しかし、
本発明者等は特定のポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂、
具体的には固有粘度1.0以上の比較的高粘度のものを
選べばインフレーション成形法でもフィルム成形可能で
あることを見出し、かつ斯かるフィルムは従来より商業
生産されているプラスチックスフィルムに比べて特徴的
な物性を持っていることを見出したものである。
インフレーション条件は押出樹脂温度を使用樹脂の融点
より20〜30℃上の温度に設定し、10〜50m/分
のスピードで引き取りながら、空気圧で押出管状体の直
径を1〜5倍に脹らませるのを標準として行う。引き取
りスピードを上記より低めに設定した場合には押出樹脂
温度も低めに設定するのがよく、押出樹脂温度を上記よ
り高めに設定した場合には引き取りスピードも高めに設
定するのがよい。
しかし固有粘度1.0未満のポリブチレンテレフタレー
ト樹脂を使用した場合にはインフレーション条件を如何
に変えても成形不能である。
物性面等から固有粘度1.0未満のものを使用する必要
のある時はTダイ法でフィルム化すれば良い。
かかるフィルムには、必要に応じ任意の率で一軸又は二
軸延伸を加えてもよい。
このような方法で得られたポリブチレンテレフタレート
樹脂製フィルムは、保香性を大事にする食品、例えばお
茶、コーヒー等の嗜好品やチョコレート、ビスケット等
の菓子類、キムチ、タクアン等の漬物類の包装に適する
従来の保香性を有する複合フィルムを用いた食品包装用
袋としては、ヒートシール性に優れたポリエチレンやポ
リプロピレン等のポリオレフィン類のフィルムを内装に
用いていることが多いが、ポリ臭という樹脂特有の臭い
を有するため、食品の香りを損なう問題がある。
本発明に用いられるポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂か
らなるフィルムは、特有の臭いもなく又無味であるため
、臭い、味が食品に移ることもない。
又、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂からなるフィルム
はヒートシール性を有し、印刷適性にも優れ、かつ食品
包装袋としての機械的強度を有するため、単層でも使用
可能であり、フィルムの製法によっては透明にすること
ができるので、包装材として好適である。
従来からシーラントとして用いられているフィルムはヒ
ートシール部の機械的な強度が弱(、シール部で切断等
が生じ易く破袋する場合があり、且つフィルム自身の強
度も弱いため、フィルムの厚みを厚くする必要があった
一方、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂はヒートシール
部の機械的強度が優れているため、ヒートシール部で切
断せず、輸送、取り扱い時の破袋が生じに<<、且つフ
ィルム自身の強度が強いのでフィルムの厚みを薄くする
ことができて経済的である。
例えば、ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂のインフレー
ションフィルムの強度は、低密度ホリエチレンやポリプ
ロピレンのインフレーションフィルムに比べ、引張強度
で2〜3倍の強度があり、引裂強度、衝撃強度も優れて
いる。
保谷性の点だけから言えばポリブチレンテレフタレート
樹脂製フィルムより優れたフィルムはあるが、それらは
樹脂自体が高価であるか、或いはインフレーション成形
ができない為に、フィルム化したものは一層高価なもの
になる。
又、製袋にヒートシール性を付与するため、他のフィル
ムと積層して使用されており、生産性が悪く、又積層部
の剥離等の問題点がある。これに対し、本発明に使用す
るポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂製フィルムは、イン
フレーション成形により得ることが可能であるため、更
に単層で優れた特性を持つため、より生産性に優れた経
済的な食品包装袋が得られる。
〔発明の効果〕
上記の如く本発明のポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂製
フィルムを用いた食品包装袋は、保香性に優れ、ポリエ
チレン樹脂やポリプロピレン樹脂製のフィルムの様に特
有の臭いもなく、又無味である。食品包装材として特に
重要である臭いが食品に移ることはなく、食品の香りを
損なわない。しかも、本発明に使用するポリブチレンテ
レフタレート樹脂製フィルムは、インフレーション成形
により得ることが可能であり、ヒートシールも可能であ
る。更に単層で優れた特性を持つため、より生産性に優
れた経済的な食品包装袋が得られる。
〔実 施 例〕
以下実施例により本発明を更に詳しく説明するが、本発
明はこれらに限定されるものではない。
実施例1 固有粘度1,4のポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂(融
点228℃)を使用し、下記の条件でインフレーション
成形法によりフィルムを調製した。即ち、5Qnoy+
押出成形機によりグイリップ間隙1mm、樹脂温度26
0〜265℃で管状フィルムを押し出した。これをブロ
ー比1.5、引張速度40m/minで引っ張って、厚
み30μm、直径20cmの管状フィルムを得た。この
管状フィルムを長す20Cmに切断し、一方をインパル
スシーラーにてヒートシールして製袋した。この袋に市
販のお茶、コーヒー、固型カレーを封入し、口をインパ
ルスシーラーにて封じた。
この袋をガラス製のデシケータ−内に入れ、23℃、5
0%RHに空調された部屋に置き、適時デシケータ−を
開き内容物の香りが初めて確認されるまでの時間を調べ
ることにより、香りの透過の程度を調べたところ、表−
1に示す通りいずれも20日間以上経っても香りが透過
しなかった。又、内容物の香りの変化もなく、包装材か
らの匂いの移行もなかった。
比較例1 メルトインデックスが0.4の低密度ポリエチレン樹脂
(LDPE)を使用し、同様な条件で厚み30μm1直
径20cmの管状フィルムを得た。
この管状フィルムを長さ20cmに切断し、一方をイン
パルスシーラーにてヒートシールして製袋した。
この袋に実施例1と同様に市販のお茶、コーヒー、固型
カレーを封入し、口をインパルスシーラーにて封じた。
この袋を実施例1と同様の方法で香りの透過の程度を調
べたところ、表−1に示す通りいずれも1時間以内で香
りが透過してしまった。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂からなるフィルム
    をヒートシールにより製袋してなる保香性の優れた食品
    包装袋。 2 ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂からなるフィルム
    が単層フィルムである特許請求の範囲第1項記載の食品
    包装袋。 3 ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂が固有粘度1.0
    以上のものである特許請求の範囲第1項又は第2項記載
    の食品包装袋。 4 ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂からなるフィルム
    がインフレーション法により成形されたフィルムである
    特許請求の範囲第1〜3項の何れか1項記載の食品包装
    袋。
