Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は合成樹脂を接合させるための超音波溶着方法に
関するものである。
従来の技術 従来の技術として、電動遠心ポンプの羽根車の組み立て
を例に取って説明する。樹脂で作られた遠心羽根車をモ
ーターシャフトに取り付ける構造のものでは、材質が樹
脂であるので、モーターシャフトとの嵌合部の強度が足
りない場合がある。そのため、出力の大きいポンプの場
合、補強金具を備えたものが使用されている。
まずこの種の遠心羽根車の構成を説明する。第4図にお
いて、1は遠心羽根車の前面部を形成する前面シュラウ
ド、2は遠心羽根車の後面部を形成する後面シュラウド
である。2aは後面′シュラウド2に複数形成された羽
根、2bはHカットのシャフト貫通孔である。3はシャ
フト貫通孔を補強するための金属製の補強板である。3
aは補強板3に形成された位置決め穴であり、一方2c
は位置決め3aに嵌り合うように後面シュラウド2に形
成された突起である。4は補強板3を後面シュラウド2
に固定するための補強板押さえである。
次に従来の超音波溶着による組み立ての手順を図面に基
づいて説明する。
第5図において、前面シュラウド1は、前面シュラウド
1と同じ曲面を持つ溶着用治具6に乗せられる。溶着用
治具6は、前面シュラウドと後面シュラウドとが互いに
同心となるよう正確に位置決めができるよう中心位置決
め棒12を備えている。第1ホーン7には、後面シュラ
ウド2が嵌め込まれ、第1ホーン7が矢印A方向に下げ
られ、第6図に示されるように前面シュラウド1に後面
シュラウド2が押し付けられる。そして、−定条件のも
とで両者が溶着される。なお、この時第1ホーン7には
、後面シュラウド2の背面に突出した突起2cに当たら
ぬようになっている。次に第4図に示されるように前面
シュラウド1と後面シュラウドから成る羽根車に補強板
3が取り付けられる。まず、補強板位置決め用突起2c
と補強板3の位置決め穴3aとを嵌め合わせ、突起2C
に合成樹脂の補強板押さえ4を乗せる。そして、第2ホ
ーン8を当て、補強板押さえ4を突起突起2Cの上面に
溶着して、補強板3を羽根車に固定する。
溶着には次の4つの条件が適正でなくてはならない。す
なわち、 ■加圧カニ「ホーンが溶着物を押す力。」■発信時間=
「ホーンが振動する時間。」■保持時間:「発信終了後
の溶着物を押さえる時間。」 ■トリガー:「加圧してから発信開始までの時間。」 験を何度も行い、上記の4つの条件について最適値を決
める必要がある。
発明が解決しようとする問題点 溶着工程は前面シュラウドと後面シュラウドの溶着と、
補強板押さえの溶着の2工程である。前述したように、
溶着後の寸法、例えば第1の溶着工程が終了した後の寸
法hx、b2(第6図参照)は前に挙げた4つの条件で
ほぼ定まるが、確実な固定に重点を置いて各条件を設定
すると、寸法h1、b2が必ずしも希望通りにならず、
いくらか誤差が生じる場合がある。また第2の溶着工程
が終了した後の寸法h2にも同様に誤差が生じてしまう

h2に寸法誤差が生じ、補強板取り付けのための溶着時
、h2に寸法誤差が生じると、出来上がった物にはfi
le b2の誤差とh2に誤差とが重なって大きな誤差
が生じてしまい、第7図に示されるようにポンプケーシ
ング9内に収めた状態では最悪の場合、ポンプケーシン
グ内壁に接触してしまうこととなり、騒音、振動発生の
原因となっていた。
本発明は以上の問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、複
数の部材を重ねて一度で溶着する場合であっち、寸法誤
差を非常に小さくすることが出来る超音波溶着方法を提
供することを目的とする。
問題点を解決するための手段 本発明は、溶着用ホーンに第1の当接面及びそれよりも
所定の高さだけ高い第2の当接面を設け、第1の合成樹
脂部材(例えば上記従来例での前面シュラウド1)の上
に第2の合成樹脂部材(例えば上記従来例での後面シュ
ラウド2)を置き、第2の合成樹脂部材上に第3の合成
樹脂部材(例えば上記従来例での補強板押さえ4)をそ
の高さが上記所定の高さよりも高くなるように置き、溶
着用ホーンの第1の当接面が第3の合成樹脂部材に、ま
た第2の当接面が第2の合成樹脂部材にそれぞれ当接す
るようにした。
作  用 このようにした事により、溶着用ホーンを降ろした時に
先に第3の合成樹脂部材に溶着用ホーンの第1の当接面
が当たり、第3の合成樹脂部材と第2の合成樹脂部材に
は必要最小値よりいくらか高めの圧力が加わり、その溶
着部では樹脂が十分につぶれ、ホーンが第2の合成樹脂
部材に当たる迄つぶれる事となる。
実施例 以下、本発明における超音波溶着、方法を遠心羽根車の
製造方法に適用した場合の実施例を説明する。第1図に
おいて、1は前面シュラウド、2は後面シュラウド、3
は後面シュラウド2の背面に取り付けられる金属性の補
強板、4は補強板3を固定するための補強板押さえであ
り、すでに従来の技術にて説明したものと同様な構成で
ある。5は本実施例にて用いられたホーンであり、中央
に補強板押さえ面5aが形成され、その周囲に前記補強
板押さえ面5aよりh3だけ高い後面シュラウド押さえ
面5bが形成されている。まず第1図に示されるように
、前面シュラウド1を治具6上に置き、その上に後面シ
ュラウド2を置く。そして、補強板3をその位置決め穴
3aと後面シュラウド2側の突起2Cとが嵌り合うよう
にして後面シュラウド2上に置き、補強板押さえ4を突
起2Cの上に置く。以上の準備が終ると、超音波溶着機
の動作開始スイッチを押す。超音波溶着機は予め定めら
れたプログラム及び設定された条件に従って溶着作業を
行う。ホーン5は第2図に示されるようにまずは補強板
押さえ4に当たる。そして振動が開始されると、補強板
押さえ4と突起2Cとの接触部分において樹脂が溶ける
。ホーン5より加えられた圧力により、溶けまた部分は
つぶれ、両者は溶着される。そして、第3図に示される
ようにホーン5は後面シュラウド2に当たる。
そして後面シュラウド2に振動が伝わり、後面シュラウ
ド2と前面シュラウド1との接触部において樹脂が溶け
る。ホーン5に加えられた圧力により樹脂が溶けた部分
かい(らかつぶれるとともに、後面シュラウド2と前面
シュラウド1とは溶着される。所定の振動時間が過ぎる
と振動は停止し、溶けた樹脂は硬化を始める。そして振
動が停止して所定の時間が過ぎると、寸−ン5が上昇し
、溶着工程が完了する。
以上のような方法で溶着を行うと、完成した遠心羽根車
の前面シュラウド1と後面シュラウド2との間の幅h4
は予め設定された各条件によって決まり、一方後面シュ
ラウド表面と補強板押さえ4の上面との段差h5はホー
ン5の段差h3に等しくなる。そのため、h4とh5を
たし合わせた長さ、すなわちh6はh4と同じ精度で定
まる。
発明の効果 以上のように本発明は、溶着用ホーンに第1の当接面及
びそれよりも所定の高さだけ高い第2の当接面を設け、
第1の合成樹脂部材の上に第2の合成樹脂部材を置き、
第2の合成樹脂部材上に第3の合成樹脂部材をその高さ
が上記所定の高さよりも高くなるように置き、溶着用ホ
ーンの第1の当接面が第3の合成樹脂部材に、また第2
の当接面が第2の合成樹脂部材にそれぞれ当接するよう
にし、溶着用ホーンに第1の合成樹脂部材と第2の合成
樹脂部材の溶着に十分な圧力を加えた事により、第3の
合成樹脂製押さえ部材と第2の合成樹脂部材との溶着部
では樹脂が十分につぶれ、ホーンが第2の合成樹脂部材
にあたる迄つぶれることとなり、従って第3の合成樹脂
部材の第2の合成樹脂部材からの突出寸法はホーン形状
に依存し、ホーンが突出する寸法を規制する型の役割を
果たすこととなる。このため、第1の合成樹脂部材から
第3の合成樹脂部材の上面に至る全体幅はほぼ第1の合
成樹脂部材と第2の合成樹脂部材の溶着条件のみに影響
されることとなり、寸法誤差のばらつきも非常に小さく
なる。しかも、超音波溶着機には溶着条件として第1の
合成樹脂部材と第セの合成樹脂部材との溶着に十分な値
のみを設定するだけで、三者の溶着が出来る。つまり、
その条件は合成樹脂製押さえ部材の溶着に十分なもので
あり、合成樹脂製押さえ部材の溶着のみのために別の値
に設定を変更したり、別の値に設定された他の超音波溶
着機を用意する必要はなく、工数を大幅に削減すること
ができる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 第1の合成樹脂部材の上に第2の合成樹脂部材を、また
    第2の合成樹脂部材の上に所定の高さとなるように第3
    の合成樹脂部材をそれぞれ超音波溶着によって接合する
    超音波溶着方法であって、第1の合成樹脂部材の上に第
    2の合成樹脂部材を置き、第2の合成樹脂部材上に第3
    の合成樹脂部材をその高さが上記所定の高さよりも高く
    なるように置き、第1の当接面と、上記第1の当接面よ
    り上記所定の高さだけ高い第2の当接面とを有する溶着
    用ホーンを、第1の当接面が第3の合成樹脂部材に、ま
    た第2の当接面が第2の合成樹脂部材にそれぞれ当接す
    るように当て、上記ホーンに第1の合成樹脂部材と第2
    の合成樹脂部材の溶着に十分な圧力を加え、上記ホーン
    に超音波振動を与えることを特徴とする超音波溶着方法
