Description
バナジウム、チタンおよびアルミニウムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つを副成分として含む。
バナジウム、チタンおよびアルミニウムの合計含有量はバナジウムの原子価を5価とし、チタンの原子価を4価とし、アルミニウムの原子価を3価としたときの酸化物換算で0.5~10質量部であることが好ましい。
本実施形態に係る電子部品の一例としての積層セラミックコンデンサ1が図1に示される。積層セラミックコンデンサ1は、誘電体層2と、内部電極層3と、が交互に積層された構成の素子本体10を有する。この素子本体10の両端部には、素子本体10の内部で交互に配置された内部電極層3と各々導通する一対の外部電極4が形成してある。素子本体10の形状に特に制限はないが、通常、直方体状とされる。また、素子本体10の寸法にも特に制限はなく、用途に応じて適当な寸法とすればよい。
誘電体層2は、後述する本実施形態に係る誘電体組成物から構成されている。
本実施形態では、内部電極層3は、各端部が素子本体10の対向する2端面の表面に交互に露出するように積層してある。
外部電極4に含有される導電材は特に限定されない。たとえばニッケル(Ni)、銅(Cu)、スズ(Sn)、Ag、Pd、Pt、金(Au)あるいはこれらの合金、導電性樹脂等公知の導電材を用いればよい。外部電極4の厚さは用途等に応じて適宜決定すればよい。
本実施形態に係る誘電体層2を構成する誘電体組成物は、バリウム(Ba)およびストロンチウム(Sr)のうち少なくともいずれか1つと、タンタル(Ta)と、を主成分として含む。
次に、図1に示す積層セラミックコンデンサ1の製造方法の一例について説明する。
<試料番号1~15、21~25>
誘電体組成物の主成分の出発原料として、炭酸バリウム(BaCO3)、炭酸ストロンチウム(SrCO3)および酸化タンタル(Ta2O5)の粉末を準備した。焼成後の主成分の組成が表1または表2に記載の通りになるように、準備した主成分の出発原料を秤量した。
誘電体組成物の密度は以下のようにして測定した。まず、誘電体組成物の体積Vを算出した。続いて、円盤状の誘電体組成物の質量mを測定し、m/Vを計算することで誘電体組成物の密度を得た。結果を表1および表2に示す。
コンデンサ試料に対し、室温(20℃)において、デジタルLCRメータ(YHP社製4284A)にて、周波数1kHz、入力信号レベル(測定電圧)1Vrmsの信号を入力し、静電容量Cを測定した。そして、比誘電率を、焼結体の厚みと、有効電極面積と、測定の結果得られた静電容量Cとに基づき算出した。結果を表1および表2に示す。

試料番号32、34、35、42および43では、誘電体組成物の出発原料の成分および添加量を下記の通りとした以外は、実験1と同様にして誘電体組成物を得て、密度および比誘電率を調べた。また、得られた誘電体組成物について電子線回折を行い、電子線回折図形を分析することで結晶系を解析した。各試料の密度、比誘電率および結晶系を表3および4に示す。

Claims (4)
- バリウムおよびストロンチウムと、タンタルと、を主成分として含み、
バナジウム、チタンおよびアルミニウムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つを副成分として含む誘電体組成物であって、
前記主成分は、前記誘電体組成物に含まれる酸素以外の元素を100モル部としたとき、80~100モル部を占め、
前記主成分は{Ba x Sr (1-x) } m Ta 4 O 12 で表され、
xは0.1~0.75であり、mは1.9~2.1であり、
前記誘電体組成物の全量を100質量部としたとき、
バナジウム、チタンおよびアルミニウムの合計含有量はバナジウムの原子価を5価とし、チタンの原子価を4価とし、アルミニウムの原子価を3価としたときの酸化物換算で0.5~10質量部である誘電体組成物。 - 酸素以外の元素を100モル部としたとき、
ニオブ、アルカリ金属および鉛の合計が10モル部以下である
請求項1に記載の誘電体組成物。 - 前記主成分の結晶の結晶系は正方晶系である請求項1または2に記載の誘電体組成物。
- 請求項1または2に記載の誘電体組成物を備える電子部品。
