Claims (5)
- 複数の画素が配列され、入射された照明光を前記画素ごとに光変調する画素領域を有する液晶表示素子と、
前記液晶表示素子の熱を放熱するヒートシンクと、
前記ヒートシンクに固定され、前記ヒートシンクよりも熱伝導率の低い材料によって形成されており、前記画素領域に対応する第1の開口を有して、前記照明光のうち、前記液晶表示素子の前記画素領域に入射されない不要光をマスクするための第1のマスク部材と、
前記第1のマスク部材よりも前記液晶表示素子から離れた位置に配置されて前記ヒートシンクに固定され、かつ、前記第1のマスク部材と接触し、前記第1のマスク部材よりも熱伝導率の高い材料によって形成されており、前記第1の開口の大きさ以上の大きさを有する第2の開口を有して、前記不要光をマスクするための第2のマスク部材と、
前記第2のマスク部材よりも前記液晶表示素子から離れた位置に配置された光学部材と、
前記光学部材よりも前記液晶表示素子から離れた位置に配置され、前記第2のマスク部材及び前記光学部材と接触した状態で、前記第2のマスク部材を介して前記ヒートシンクに固定され、前記第2の開口より大きい第3の開口を有して、前記光学部材を押さえる押さえ板と、
を備える表示デバイス。 - 前記ヒートシンクはアルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金によって形成され、前記第1のマスク部材はステンレス鋼によって形成され、前記第2のマスク部材はアルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金によって形成されている請求項1に記載の表示デバイス。
- 前記第2の開口は前記第1の開口より大きく、前記第1のマスク部材の前記第1の開口側の端部は前記第2のマスク部材の第2の開口側の端部よりも内側に突出している請求項1または2に記載の表示デバイス。
- 前記第2のマスク部材の板厚は、前記第1のマスク部材の板厚より厚い請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の表示デバイス。
- 入射される赤色照明光を表示しようとする画像の赤色成分に応じて変調して赤色画像光を生成する赤色画像生成用表示デバイスと、
入射される緑色照明光を表示しようとする画像の緑色成分に応じて変調して緑色画像光を生成する緑色画像生成用表示デバイスと、
入射される青色照明光を表示しようとする画像の青色成分に応じて変調して青色画像光を生成する青色画像生成用表示デバイスと、
前記赤色画像光と、前記緑色画像光と、前記青色画像光とを合成して合成画像光を生成する合成光学系と、
前記合成画像光を投射する投射レンズと、
を備え、
前記赤色画像生成用表示デバイス、前記緑色画像生成用表示デバイス、及び前記青色画像生成用表示デバイスとして、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の表示デバイスが用いられている
投射型表示装置。
