また、本発明によれば、第1の導電体及び第2の導電体が、電力変換装置のケース、駆動モータのケース、又は発電機のケースの内部に配置されている。このため、ケースの内部に延びている第1、第2の導電体の絶縁性を確保するための絶縁材は、ケースの外部で各電気機器を接続するハーネスの絶縁材よりも簡略化することができる。これにより、絶縁材に要するコスト及び重量を低減することができる。
内燃機関のうち、一般に、ロータリピストンエンジン及び水平対向エンジンは、他の形式の内燃機関と比べ全高が低い。上記のように構成された本発明によれば、内燃機関がロータリピストンエンジン又は水平対向エンジンであるため、駆動モータと発電機の間に配置した場合でも、モータルーム内で邪魔になりにくい。このため、駆動モータと発電機の間に内燃機関を配置した場合でもモータルーム内のスペースを有効に活用することができる。
このように構成された本発明によれば、内燃機関の出力軸を駆動モータの出力軸よりも上方にオフセット配置することで、内燃機関下部のオイルパンの容量を適切に確保することができる。
このように構成された本発明によれば、車両前部の衝突時に、前方から車両駆動装置のほうに向かってくる物体を駆動モータよりも先に内燃機関に接触させることができ、内燃機関によって駆動モータを適切に保護することができる。
このように構成された本発明によれば、内燃機関の出力軸を駆動モータの出力軸よりも前方にオフセット配置することで、駆動モータの前方にスペースを形成して、このスペースに内燃機関の補器(エンジン補器)を配置することができる。これにより、車両駆動装置の車幅方向の寸法増大を適切に抑制することができる。また、内燃機関の補器を駆動モータの前方に配置することで、車両前部の衝突時に、補器によって駆動モータを適切に保護することができる。
このように構成された本発明では、内燃機関、駆動モータ及び発電機を車幅方向に沿って横置き配置した場合に、上述したような効果を得ることができる。
図1は、本発明の実施形態による車両駆動装置を車両に搭載した状態を示す斜視図である。図2は、本発明の実施形態による車両駆動装置を車両に搭載した状態を示す平面図である。図3は、本発明の実施形態による車両駆動装置において、駆動モータ、ジェネレータ、及び電力変換装置ケースの内部構造を、車両の前方側から見た断面図である。なお、図1乃至図3においては、内燃機関から延びる吸気管及び排気管の図示を省略している。
本実施形態による車両駆動装置1は、内燃機関2、駆動モータ4、発電機であるジェネレータ6、電力変換装置ケース8a、及び駆動モータ4の回転出力を減速する減速機構である減速ギア10が一体化されている。なお、後述するように、本実施形態においては、電力変換装置ケース8a内には、電力変換装置としてインバータ8b及びコンバータ8c(図3)が内蔵されている。また、本実施形態においては、後述するように、車両のドライブシャフト12(図2)は、駆動モータ4の駆動力によって駆動され、内燃機関2の生成した動力により直接駆動されることはない。
図3は、駆動モータ4、ジェネレータ6、及び電力変換装置ケース8aの内部構造を示す断面図である。
図4は、本発明の実施形態による車両駆動装置1を左斜め後方から見た斜視図である。図5は、本発明の実施形態による車両駆動装置1を左側から見た側面断面図である。
吸気管2aは、内燃機関2の後ろ側(車両11の後方側)側面上部から、一旦、車両11の後方側に延びた後、内燃機関2及びジェネレータ6の上方を通って内燃機関2の前側へ延びている。また、内燃機関2の後ろ側には、ドライブシャフト12が車両11を横断するように延びており、吸気管2aは、ドライブシャフト12よりも上側で内燃機関2に接続されている。さらに、吸気管2aの先端部にはエアクリーナ28が設けられており、内燃機関2に吸入する空気中のダストを除去するように構成されている。
他方で、内燃機関2の出力軸2xとジェネレータ6の入力軸6dとは連結されているため、これら出力軸2x及び入力軸6dはほぼ同一軸線上に位置している(図7及び図8の破線参照)。

Claims (12)
- モータの動力により車両を駆動する車両駆動装置であって、
電力により駆動される駆動モータと、
燃料により動力を発生する内燃機関と、
この内燃機関によって駆動される発電機と、
を有し、
上記駆動モータ、上記内燃機関、及び上記発電機は、上記車両の車幅方向に、上記駆動モータ、上記内燃機関、上記発電機の順に配置され、
さらに、上記駆動モータ及び上記発電機に、夫々電気的に接続された電力変換装置と、この電力変換装置と上記駆動モータを接続する第1の導電体と、上記電力変換装置と上記発電機を接続する第2の導電体と、を有し、上記第1の導電体及び上記第2の導電体は何れも、上記電力変換装置のケース、上記駆動モータのケース、又は上記発電機のケースの内部に配置され、上記電力変換装置のケースは、上記内燃機関の上方を跨ぐように、上記駆動モータのケース及び上記発電機のケース夫々に結合されていることを特徴とする車両駆動装置。 - 上記内燃機関は、ロータリピストンエンジン、又は水平対向エンジンである請求項1記載の車両駆動装置。
- 上記内燃機関は、ロータリピストンエンジンであり、このロータリピストンエンジンの吸気管、及び排気管は、ロータリピストンエンジンの、上記車両の前後方向後ろ側から、上記車両の後方側に延びている請求項2記載の車両駆動装置。
- さらに、上記駆動モータの動力を、上記車両の車輪に伝達する伝達経路に設けられた減速機構を有し、この減速機構は、上記車両の車幅方向において、上記駆動モータと上記内燃機関の間に配置されている請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 上記電力変換装置のケースの車幅方向の中心は、上記車両の前後方向に延びる上記車両の中心軸線に対し、上記駆動モータが配置されている側に位置している請求項1記載の車両駆動装置。
- 上記電力変換装置は、上記駆動モータと電気的に接続された、直流を交流に変換するインバータと、上記発電機と電気的に接続された、交流を直流に変換するコンバータと、を含む請求項1又は5に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 上記駆動モータとその上方に配置された上記電力変換装置のケース、及び上記発電機とその上方に配置された上記電力変換装置のケースは、平面視において、夫々互いに重なっており、上記駆動モータと上記電力変換装置のケースの重なり量は、上記発電機と上記電力変換装置のケースの重なり量よりも大きく構成されている請求項1、5及び6の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 上記駆動モータ、上記内燃機関、及び上記発電機は、上記車両の前部に設けられたモータルーム内に収容されており、上記駆動モータ、上記内燃機関、及び上記発電機は、上記モータルームを覆うボンネットの下方に配置されている請求項1乃至7の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 前面視において、上記内燃機関の下部にはオイルパンが設けられ、上記内燃機関の出力軸は、上記駆動モータの出力軸に対して車両上方側にオフセット配置されている請求項1乃至8の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 平面視において、上記内燃機関の前端部は、上記駆動モータの前端部よりも車両前方側に位置している請求項1乃至9の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 平面視において、上記内燃機関の出力軸は、上記駆動モータの出力軸に対して車両前方側にオフセット配置され、上記内燃機関に関連する所定の補器が上記駆動モータの前方で且つ上記内燃機関の前部に取り付けられている請求項1乃至10の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
- 上記内燃機関の出力軸、上記駆動モータの出力軸及び上記発電機の入力軸のそれぞれが車幅方向に沿って延びるように、上記駆動モータ、上記内燃機関及び上記発電機のそれぞれが配置されている請求項1乃至11の何れか1項に記載の車両駆動装置。
