Description

Claims (12)
- 作用面(42、86)から内側に向かってある深さまで延在しているバインダー相-枯渇ゾーンを有する焼結超硬合金体の製造方法(100)であって、該製造方法は、
超硬合金体(12、70)を焼結すること(110)であって、焼結超硬合金体は、該焼結超硬合金体を通って上面(18、82)から下面(20、84)まで延在するボア(16、72)を画定する内面を含み、ボア(16、72)は、作用面(42、86)を含み、焼結超硬合金体(12、70)は、(i)WCおよびW2Cのうちの少なくとも1つ、(ii)金属炭化物、金属炭窒化物または金属オキシ炭窒化物の硬質相、および(iii)バインダー相を含む組成を有する、焼結すること(110)と;
作用面(42、86)の少なくとも一部をホウ素生成法で処理すること(130)であって、ホウ素生成方法は、(a)ホウ素またはホウ素含有材料、溶媒および界面活性剤を含む組成物を適用するステップ(132)、および(b)大気圧より低い圧力下または水素含有雰囲気中で、1400℃~1420℃の範囲の温度に加熱するステップ(134)を含む、処理すること(130)と、
を含み、
焼結超硬合金体は、バルク超硬合金を含み、
ホウ素生成方法は、バルク超硬合金におけるバインダー相の量よりも少ないバインダー相の量を有するバインダー相-枯渇ゾーンをもたらし、該バインダー相-枯渇ゾーンは、ホウ素生成方法で処理された作用面(42、86)の少なくとも一部からバインダー相の量がバルク超硬合金におけるバインダー相の量に相当する深さまで延在するものであり、
バインダー相-枯渇ゾーンの前記バインダー相の前記量は、2.5重量%未満であり、
バインダー相-枯渇ゾーンは、粒子サイズ6.0μm未満のイータ-相を含む微細構造を有する、焼結超硬合金体の製造方法(100)。 - ホウ素生成方法で処理すること(130)の前に、焼結超硬合金体(12、70)の作用面(42、86)の少なくとも一部を表面仕上げすること(120)をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ホウ素生成方法において適用される(132)組成物が、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム含有材料を含み、焼結超硬合金体の製造方法(100)が、ホウ素生成方法の後に、焼結超硬合金体を清浄することをさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- ホウ素生成方法において適用される組成物中のアルミニウムまたはアルミニウム含有材料の量が、最大20重量%である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- ホウ素含有材料がBNである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ホウ素生成方法において適用される組成物中のホウ素の量が、最大30重量%である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 溶媒が非極性溶媒である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 溶媒がアセトンである、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 界面活性剤が、ポリエチレングリコール(PEG)である、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ホウ素生成方法で処理される作用面の一部が、伸線用のニブの軸受面およびアプローチ角面のうちの1つまたは複数である、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ホウ素生成方法で処理される作用面の一部が、ウォータージェットカッターのノズルの内面である、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 作用面(42、86)から内側に向かってある深さまで延在しているバインダー相-枯渇ゾーンを有する焼結超硬合金体の製造方法(100)であって、該製造方法は、
超硬合金体(12、70)を焼結すること(110)であって、焼結超硬合金体は、該焼結超硬合金体を通って上面(18、82)から下面(20、84)まで延在するボア(16、72)を画定する内面を含み、ボア(16、72)は、作用面(42、86)を含み、焼結超硬合金体(12、70)は、(i)WCおよびW 2 Cのうちの少なくとも1つ、(ii)金属炭化物、金属炭窒化物または金属オキシ炭窒化物の硬質相、および(iii)バインダー相を含む組成を有する、焼結すること(110)と;
作用面(42、86)の少なくとも一部をホウ素生成法で処理すること(130)であって、ホウ素生成方法は、(a)ホウ素またはホウ素含有材料、溶媒および界面活性剤を含む組成物を適用するステップ(132)、および(b)大気圧より低い圧力下または水素含有雰囲気中で、1200℃~1450℃の範囲の温度に加熱するステップ(134)を含む、処理すること(130)と、
