本出願は、2017年5月30日に出願された米国仮出願第62/512,208号および2017年6月8日に出願された米国仮出願第62/516,916号の利益を主張する。
いくつかの実施形態では、イソシアネート成分はイソシアネート末端プレポリマーを含む。いくつかの実施形態では、イソシアネート末端プレポリマーは、ポリイソシアネートとポリオール成分の反応生成物である。そのような反応では、イソシアネート末端プレポリマーを生成するために、ポリイソシアネートが過剰に存在する。本明細書で使用される場合、「ポリイソシアネート」は、2つ以上のイソシアネート基を含有する任意の化合物である。例えば、ポリイソシアネートには、二量体、三量体などが含まれる。
いくつかの実施形態では、イソシアネート反応性成分は、ヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタン樹脂、ポリエーテルポリオール、リン酸エステル接着促進剤、および任意で、バイオベースのポリオールを含む。
開示された接着剤組成物を含む積層物は、接着剤組成物のイソシアネート成分とイソシアネート反応性成分と混合し、次いで混合された接着剤組成物をフィルムに塗布することにより形成され得る。本明細書で使用される場合、「フィルム」は、1つの寸法が0.5mm以下であり、他の2つの寸法が両方とも1cm以上である任意の構造体である「ポリマーフィルム」は、ポリマーまたはポリマーの混合物から作製されるフィルムである。ポリマーフィルムの組成は、典型的には、80重量パーセント以上の1つ以上のポリマーである。
55.1グラムのVORANOL(商標)CP-450と1.5グラムのポリリン酸を、室温で窒素パージしながら反応器に加える。次に、反応器の温度を100℃に設定し、反応器の内容物を1時間攪拌する。反応器の温度を50℃に下げてから、18.4グラムのISONATE(商標)125Mを反応器に導入する。発熱反応により、反応器の温度は80℃に上昇する。反応温度を2時間78℃に制御する。得られたリン酸エステル接着促進剤は、ASTM D4274に従って測定された293mgKOH/gのヒドロキシル価、およびASTM D2196に従って測定された25℃で18,000cpsの粘度を有する。
表2に示す実施例1~4のイソシアネート反応性成分を、2段階で調製する。実施例1では、第1段階で、VORNAOL(商標)220-260およびVORNAOL(商標)200-110NとISONATE(商標)125Mとの反応により、反応器内でヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタンが生成される。第2段階では、VORANOL(商標)CP-450、VORNAOL(商標)220-260、ヒマシ油、TMP、リン酸エステル接着促進剤を含む追加のポリオールを反応器に投入し、第1段階で形成されたヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタンと混合する。実施例1のイソシアネート反応性成分を調製する典型的な例では、約377グラムのVORANOL(商標)220-260を1リットル反応器に投入し、窒素保護およびオーバーヘッド攪拌下で約50℃に温める。次に、約44グラムのISONATE(商標)125Mを反応器に投入する。反応の発熱によりイソシアネートを添加すると反応温度が上昇し、反応器の温度がゆっくりと78℃になる。反応温度を78~82℃に維持する。ピペットで定期的に試料を採取し、IRで分析する。これを、すべてのイソシアネート基が消費され、第1段階の反応が完了したことを示す、IRでの2275cm-1でNCOピークが観察されなくなる状態まで続け、通常2時間以内である。次に、約42グラムのVORANOL(商標)CP-450、約210グラムのヒマシ油、約14グラムのリン酸エステル接着促進剤、および約14グラムのTMPを含む追加の成分を反応器に投入し、70℃でさらに2時間混合する。その後、移動させる前に樹脂を約60℃に冷却し、後で使用するためにパッケージ化する。
積層構造体を、ニップ温度が120°Fに設定され、ライン速度が100フィート/分に設定されたLABO-COMBI(商標)ラミネーターを使用して調製する。コーティング重量を、約1~1.2lbs/rm(1.6~1.9g/m2)に調整する。接着試験を容易にするためにいくつかの接着ストリップが挿入された状態で、各配合物について約100フィートの積層物を調製する。形成された積層構造体は、室温で1週間硬化させる。48LBT/GF-19、ナイロン/GF-10、および48LBT/Met-PETを含む、さまざまな構造体を評価する。
T形剥離接着強度を、200Nのロードセルを備えたInstron引張試験機で、1インチの積層物試料のストリップで10インチ/分の速度で測定する。各積層物試料について3つのストリップをテストし、破壊モードとともに高い接着強度と平均接着強度を記録する。フィルム引裂きやフィルム伸びの場合、高い値が報告される。他の破壊モードでは、平均T形剥離接着強度が報告される。典型的な破壊モードには、接着不良の「AF」(一次接着剤)、粘着移行の「AT」(二次接着剤)、接着剤割れ「AS」(接着剤の凝集破壊)、フィルム引裂きの「FT」(接着を破壊)、フィルム伸びの場合は「FS」(接着を破壊)、金属移行の「MT」が含まれる。

実施形態13.イソシアネート成分に存在するNCO基の、イソシアネート反応性成分に存在するOH基に対するモル比が0.8~1.6である、先行するまたは後続の実施形態のいずれかに記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
実施形態14.イソシアネート成分に存在するNCO基の、イソシアネート反応性成分に存在するOH基に対するモル比が1.0~1.5である、先行するまたは後続の実施形態のいずれかに記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
実施形態15.イソシアネート成分に存在するNCO基の、イソシアネート反応性成分に存在するOH基に対するモル比が1.2~1.4である、先行するまたは後続の実施形態のいずれかに記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
実施形態16.先行するまたは後続の実施形態のいずれかに記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を含む積層構造体。
実施形態17.積層構造体を形成するための方法であって、
イソシアネート末端プレポリマーを含むイソシアネート接着剤成分と、ヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタン樹脂、ポリエーテルポリオール、リン酸エステル接着促進剤、および任意で、バイオベースのポリオールを含むイソシアネート反応性接着剤成分とを混合することにより接着剤組成物を形成することと、
接着剤組成物を第1の基材の表面に塗布することと、
第2の基材の表面を第1の基材の表面上の接着剤組成物と接触させ、それにより積層構造体を形成することと、を含む方法。
実施形態18.イソシアネート接着剤成分とイソシアネート反応性接着剤成分の混合が、イソシアネート成分に存在するNCO基の、イソシアネート反応性成分に存在するOH基に対するモル比が0.8~1.6で起こる、先行するまたは後続の実施形態のいずれかに記載の積層構造体の形成するための方法。
実施形態19.第1および第2の基材が各々独立して、木質材料、金属材料、プラスチック材料、複合材料、紙材料、布材料、およびそれらのうちの2つ以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、先行するまたは後続の実施形態のいずれかに記載の積層構造体の形成するための方法。
Claims (10)
- 二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物であって、
イソシアネート末端プレポリマーを含むイソシアネート成分と、
イソシアネート反応性成分と、を含み、前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、
ヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタン樹脂、
ポリエーテルポリオール、
リン酸エステルポリオール、および
任意で、バイオベースのポリオールを含み、
前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、三官能性または二官能性プロピレングリコール、ポリリン酸、およびポリイソシアネートから作製され、
前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、前記リン酸エステルポリオールの重量に基づいて、4重量パーセント未満のリン酸含有量を有する、二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。 - 前記イソシアネート反応性成分中の前記ヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタン樹脂が、ポリイソシアネートとポリオール成分との反応生成物である、請求項1に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記ポリイソシアネートが4,4’-メチレンジフェニルジイソシアネートである、請求項2に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、三官能性プロピレングリコール、ポリリン酸、およびポリイソシアネートから作製され、前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、前記リン酸エステルポリオールの重量に基づいて、3重量パーセント未満のリン酸含有量を有する、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の総重量の0.5~15パーセントを占める、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記バイオベースのポリオールが、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の総重量の0~50パーセントを占める、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記バイオベースのポリオールがヒマシ油である、請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記イソシアネート成分に存在するNCO基の、前記イソシアネート反応性成分に存在するOH基に対するモル比が0.8~1.6である、請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の二成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を含む積層構造体。
- 積層構造体を形成するための方法であって、
イソシアネート末端プレポリマーを含むイソシアネート接着剤成分と、ヒドロキシ末端ポリウレタン樹脂、ポリエーテルポリオール、リン酸エステルポリオール、および任意で、バイオベースのポリオールを含むイソシアネート反応性接着剤成分とを混合することにより接着剤組成物を形成することと、
前記接着剤組成物を第1の基材の表面に塗布することと、
第2の基材の表面を前記第1の基材の前記表面上の前記接着剤組成物と接触させ、それにより前記積層構造体を形成することと、を含み、
前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、三官能性または二官能性プロピレングリコール、ポリリン酸、およびポリイソシアネートから作製され、
前記リン酸エステルポリオールが、前記リン酸エステルポリオールの重量に基づいて、4重量パーセント未満のリン酸含有量を有する、方法。
