Description
・長時間の使用に渡って高い効率、
・太陽光線照射、特に紫外放射に対する高い安定性、
・ガラス表面を通過するエネルギーの流れの周囲温度条件に対する好適な適合性、
・特に寒さや熱に対して屋外で曝露される環境下での高い堅牢性である。
第1基板層と、第2基板層と、少なくとも2個の分離された区画を含み第1および第2基板層の間に配置される区画化スイッチ層と、区画化スイッチ層および第1基板層の間に配置される第1導電層と、ならびに区画化スイッチ層および第2基板層の間に配置される第2導電層とを含む層スタックを含み、
ただしスイッチ層の分離された区画は、それぞれ電圧を印加すると光透過率が変化する材料を含むスイッチ可能デバイスに関する。
本発明の目的において用語「液晶材料」は、一定の条件下で液晶特性を示す材料を意味すると解する。特に該用語は、一定の条件下でネマチック液晶相を形成する材料を意味すると解する。液晶媒体は、1種類以上の液晶化合物および加えて更なる物質を含んでよい。
本発明によれば、とりわけ2枚の基材層はそれぞれ互いに独立にポリマー材料、例えばPET箔、金属酸化物、例えばITO、ガラスおよび/または金属から成ってよい。

・第1区画をスイッチ層材料で充填する工程と、
・少なくとも第2区画を異なるスイッチ層材料で充填する工程と、
・セルを組み立てる工程と、
・UVまたは熱をシーラントを硬化させる工程と
を含む方法に関する。

Claims (11)
- 光の透過を制御するためのスイッチ可能デバイスを含むウィンドウであって、
スイッチ可能デバイスが、第1基板層と、第2基板層と、少なくとも2個の分離された区画を含み第1および第2基板層の間に配置される区画化スイッチ層と、区画化スイッチ層および第1基板層の間に配置される第1導電層と、ならびに区画化スイッチ層および第2基板層の間に配置される第2導電層とを含む層スタックを含み、
少なくとも2個の分離されたスイッチ層の区画が、第1区画と第2区画を含み、
ただしスイッチ層の分離された区画は、それぞれ電圧を印加すると光透過率が変化する材料を含み、
第1区画が、第2区画とは異なる組成のスイッチ層材料を含み、
スイッチ層の各区画の材料がそれぞれ互いに独立に、液晶スイッチ層材料であり、
それぞれの区画のスイッチ層材料が3種以上の二色性色素の混合物を含み、
分離された区画が、周りを囲む固体の境界で形成され、第2区画が、第1区画の区画内の周りを囲む固体の境界で形成され、
電界を印加することでそれぞれの分離された区画が、少なくとも2つの異なるスイッチ状態間を個別にスイッチするウィンドウ。 - 分離された区画の一方の状態は暗状態または散乱状態であり、他方の状態は透明状態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のウィンドウ。
- 電界を印加することで少なくとも2つの異なるスイッチ状態間を個別にスイッチする際に、それぞれの区画が異なる透過率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のウィンドウ。
- 液晶スイッチ層材料が液晶スイッチ層材料を含むポリマーから、および低分子系液晶スイッチ層材料から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。
- 液晶スイッチ層材料が、ポリマー分散型液晶スイッチ層材料である液晶スイッチ層材料を含むポリマーから選択されることを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。
- 液晶材料が低分子およびポリマー材料から選択される1種類以上の液晶有機化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。
- 暗状態において液晶材料は、ネマチック非ツイスト、ネマチックツイストおよびネマチック超ツイストから選択する状態にあるのに対し、透明状態において材料はホメオトロピック状態にあることを特徴とする請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。
- 第1のスイッチ可能デバイスおよび第2のスイッチ可能デバイスを含むスタックを含むことを特徴とする請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。
- インシュレーティッドガラスユニットを含み、ただし
スイッチ可能デバイスは、インシュレーティッドガラスユニットの内側に位置することを特徴とする請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。 - ウィンドウのフレーム上に位置する分離されたタッチセンシティブデバイスを含むことを特徴とする請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウ。
- 建物内または乗物内における、請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載のウィンドウの使用。
