Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform displaying of >=2 kinds of different colors with one sheet of display panel by affixing a flat plate to at least one surface of a sheet of the panel wherein plural pieces of liquid crystal display cells are adhered mutually at the end faces. CONSTITUTION:Liquid crystal display cellsI, II are adhered by means of an adhesive layer 12, and a flat plate 15 is affixed to the rear surface, whereby one sheet of liquid crystal display panel is formed. A surface active agent which orients liquid crystal molecules perpendicularly to a pair of electrode substrates 71, 81 is coated on said electrode substrates, and an epoxy adhesive material mixed with Al powder as spacer particles is screen printed and coated as a peripheral sealing material 91 on one substrate 71. Both substrates 71, 81 are affixed, and opening parts are provided on the right and left side of the assembled display cellI. Similarly, a display cell II is assembled, then both cellsI, II are adhered, and a glass plate 15 is affixed to the rear side. Next, liquid crystal materials are sealed into the cellsI, II through the liquid crystal injection cells on the right and left, after which the injection ports are sealed with an epoxy resin.
