Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of received light, to improve display effect and to improve formability by sealing a liquid crystal material between the upper and lower panel substrates made by forming a synthetic resin to a curved face, and forming electrodes on the surfaces of the upper and lower panel substrates. CONSTITUTION:An upper panel substrate 12 formed with transparent electrode films 11 and a lower panel substrate 14 formed with transparent electrode films 13 are formed to a curved surface respectively of a synthetic resin. A liquid crystal is sealed between these substrates 12 and 14, and spacers 18 are disposed. The circumference is sealed by a sealant 15. A polarizing plate film 16 and a reflection plate film 17 are respectively provided on the outer side of the substrates 12, 14. Thereby, the light from the outside is diffused and reflected and this makes the nonreflection panel possible, improves its display effect and expands visual angle in the case of a large-sized cell.
