Abstract

1338739 Modulating light SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 6 April 1972 [9 April 1971] 15925/72 Heading H4F Two electrode structures, between which is disposed a layer of liquid crystal material of the type which scatters light when an electric field is applied, are maintained in spaced relation by a peripheral film of adhesive which is bonded to each electrode structure by heating. As described, each electrode structure is a transparent or reflective conductive film on a glass plate and the adhesive is bonded to the film and the plate. The cell so formed may be used in a watch or electronic calculator display.
