Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate a continuous display of divisional parts and the orientation treatment, by sealing end face parts of cells, which are adhered to each other, by an adhesive layer on their end faces, which adheres cells to each other, when end faces of plural cells are adhered mutually to make one panel. CONSTITUTION:A cellIhas apertures in the right side and a charging part, and a cell II has apertures in the left side and the charging part. The right end face of the empty cellIand the left end face of the empty cell II are adhered to each other by a thermal press-fixing film 12. Since the width of the adhesive layer is narrow, the discontinuity of display is not a problem. Even if the orientation treatment film is different in every divisional part, the orientation treatment film is formed individually for every divisional part because divisional parts are stuck on a plane after they are assembled individually as empty liquid crystal display cells, and thus, the orientation treatment work is facilitated. A material such as a polyfilm and a glass thin plate where an adhesive material is coated on both faces may be used instead of the thermal press-fixing film.
