- 駆動力源から駆動輪に動力を伝達する動力伝達部材と、前記動力伝達部材の回転によって回転駆動されるオイルポンプと、前記動力伝達部材および前記オイルポンプを収容するケースと、を有する車両の動力伝達装置であって、
前記オイルポンプは、ポンプ室が形成されたポンプカバーと、前記ポンプ室を覆うように前記ポンプカバーに固定されたポンプボデーと、前記ポンプ室内に嵌め入れられたロータと、前記動力伝達部材に形成された駆動ギヤと噛み合う被駆動ギヤと、一端側において前記ポンプボデーおよび前記ポンプカバーによって回転可能に且つ片持ち状に支持され、前記一端側に前記ロータが嵌め着けられ且つ他端側に前記被駆動ギヤが嵌め着けられたポンプシャフトと、を含み、
前記ロータの径方向における前記ポンプボデーまたは前記ポンプカバーの外周縁部が前記ケースに支持され、前記ポンプカバーおよび前記ポンプボデーの前記外周縁部を除く部分と前記ケースとの間には空間が設けられており、
前記ポンプシャフトは、段差を有する段付き円柱状に形成され、
前記ロータが前記ポンプシャフトに嵌め着けられた場合に、前記ロータの厚さ方向の両側面のうちの前記ポンプシャフトの他端側の側面が前記段差に当接する
ことを特徴とする車両の動力伝達装置。 - 前記ポンプボデーおよび前記ポンプカバーの外周縁部は、前記ロータの外周よりも前記ロータの径方向外側に位置する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両の動力伝達装置。 - 前記被駆動ギヤは、はすば歯車で形成され、
車両の前進走行時に前記駆動ギヤによって回転駆動された場合に、前記被駆動ギヤに生じるスラスト荷重の方向は、前記段差によって前記ロータの摺動が規制される方向と対向する
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の車両の動力伝達装置。 - 前記ポンプボデーは、前記ロータの厚さ方向の両側面のうちの前記ポンプシャフトの一端側の側面に摺接する摺接面を有し、
前記摺接面は、前記ポンプシャフトに直交するように形成され、前記スラスト荷重を受ける
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両の動力伝達装置。 - 前記ポンプボデーは、前記ポンプボデーの外部からオイルを吸入するオイル吸入口と、前記オイル吸入口から吸入したオイルを前記ポンプボデーの外部へ吐出する吐出油路とを有し、
前記吐出油路から吐出されるオイルの吐出方向は、前記スラスト荷重の方向と同じ方向である
ことを特徴とする請求項3または請求項4に記載の車両の動力伝達装置。 - 前記吐出油路の径方向の少なくとも一部は、前記ロータの外周よりも前記ロータの径方向内側に位置している
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の車両の動力伝達装置。
