Description
なお、式(1)において、wは溝部123の幅であり、dは溝部123の深さであり、πは円周率である。wおよびdの単位はmmである。
次に、図1~図5を参照して、塗装装置100の動作例について説明する。
本実施形態では、上記のように、回転ヘッド1から糸状の塗料P1を放出するとともに、糸状の塗料P1の直径Dを0.03~0.1mmに設定することによって、シェーピングエアを用いて微粒化する従来の塗装装置に比べて、糸状の塗料P1が微細化されているので、糸状の塗料P1を適切に静電微粒化することができる。したがって、シェーピングエアを用いることなく塗料を微粒化することができるので、塗着効率を向上させることができる。
なお、今回開示した実施形態は、すべての点で例示であって、限定的な解釈の根拠となるものではない。したがって、本発明の技術的範囲は、上記した実施形態のみによって解釈されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲の記載に基づいて画定される。また、本発明の技術的範囲には、特許請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれる。

Claims (3)
- 塗料が供給される回転ヘッドと、
前記回転ヘッドを回転させる駆動部と、
前記回転ヘッドと接地された被塗装物との間に電界を形成するために、前記回転ヘッドに電圧を印加する電源部とを備える塗装装置であって、
前記回転ヘッドは、塗料が遠心力によって外縁部に向けて拡散される拡散面と、前記外縁部に形成された複数の溝部とを含み、前記溝部から糸状の塗料を放出するように構成され、
前記溝部の断面積は、0.0025πmm 2 よりも大きくされ、
前記糸状の塗料の直径が0.03mm以上0.1mm以下に設定され、前記糸状の塗料がシェーピングエアによらずに静電微粒化されるように構成されていることを特徴とする塗装装置。 - 請求項1に記載の塗装装置において、
前記糸状の塗料の長さが2mm以上46mm以下に設定されていることを特徴とする塗装装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の塗装装置において、
前記溝部は、前記回転ヘッドの端部まで達するように形成されていることを特徴とする塗装装置。
