次に、上記の実施形態の被覆工具1の変形例について図面を用いて説明する。なお、以下においては、上記の実施形態の被覆工具1と変形例とが相違する点について述べ、上記の実施形態の被覆工具1と変形例とで一致する点については説明を省略する。
次に、本実施形態の被覆工具の製造方法について説明する。
切削方法:肩削り(ミリング加工)
被削材 :SKD11
切削速度:150m/分
送り :0.12mm/刃
切り込み:横切り込み10mm、深さ切り込み3mm
切削状態:乾式
評価方法:10分間切削した時点でチッピング状態を測定し、続けて切削加工できた加工数を評価した。
切削方法:外径切削(旋削加工)
被削材 :SCM415H
切削速度:150m/分
送り :0.1mm/刃
切り込み:0.2mm
切削状態:乾式
評価方法:3分間切削した時点でチッピング状態を測定するとともに、切削加工できた切削時間を評価した。

Claims (10)
- 基体と、
該基体上に位置する被覆層とを有し、
該被覆層は、(TibNbdMe)CxN1−x(ただし、MはCr、V、W、並びにAlのうちの1種以上、エネルギー分散型X線分光分析装置による測定において、0.2≦b≦0.8、0.01≦d≦0.2、0≦e≦0.7、b+d+e=1、0<x≦0.1)を含有する第1層と、M’N(ただし、M’はTi、Cr、V、Wの少なくともいずれか一つ)を含有する第2層とが交互に積層された交互層を有し、
前記被覆層は、前記交互層と前記基体との間に、0.1〜1μmの厚みのTiN層又はCrN層を含有する中間層を有する被覆工具。 - 前記xは、0.05以上である請求項1に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記第2層の厚みの平均値が、前記第1層の厚みの平均値よりも大きい、請求項1または2に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記第2層の厚みの平均値に対する前記第1層の厚みの平均値の比率が0.6〜0.9である、請求項3に記載の被覆工具。
- 複数の前記第1層のうち、前記基体の最も近くに位置する前記第1層の厚みが、他の前記第1層の厚みよりも厚い、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 複数の前記第2層のうち、前記基体の最も近くに位置する前記第2層の厚みが、他の前記第2層の厚みよりも厚い、請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 複数の前記第1層のうち、前記基体から最も離れて位置する前記第1層の厚みが、前記基体の最も近くに位置する前記第1層を除く、他の前記第1層の厚みよりも厚い、請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 前記中間層の厚みが、複数の前記第1層及び複数の前記第2層のいずれの厚みよりも厚い、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 前記第2層が、前記中間層に隣接している、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 前記基体がcBN焼結体からなる、請求項1〜9のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
