(ただし、0≦a2≦0.8、0≦b2≦0.2、0≦c2≦0.2、0≦x2≦1、a1=a2かつb1=b2かつc1=c2は除く。)で表される第2被覆層とが10層以上繰り返し交互に積層された積層構造であることが望ましく、これによって、被覆層の硬度が向上するとともに、被覆層の内部応力を低くできて厚い被覆層をつけても被覆層がチッピングや剥離しなくなる。
次に、本発明の表面被覆切削工具の製造方法について説明する。
切削方法:肩削り(ミリング加工)
被削材 :SKD11
切削速度:150m/分
送り :0.12mm/刃
切り込み:横切り込み10mm、深さ切り込み3mm
切削状態:乾式
評価方法:10分間切削した時点で、逃げ面摩耗量と切刃におけるチッピング状態を測定。
Claims (6)
- すくい面と逃げ面とを有する切削工具基体の表面にTi1−a−b−c AlaWbMc(C1−xNx)(ただし、MはTiおよびWを除く周期表第4、5、6族金属、SiおよびYから選ばれる少なくとも1種、0.3≦a≦0.6、0.01≦b≦0.2、0≦c≦0.2、0≦x≦1)で表される被覆層が設けられており、前記すくい面におけるWの含有比率に対して前記逃げ面におけるWの含有比率が高いとともに、前記被覆層の表面にドロップレットが存在するとともに、前記逃げ面における前記ドロップレット中のW含有比率が前記すくい面における前記ドロップレット中のW含有比率よりも低い切削工具。
- 前記すくい面における前記被覆層のTiとAlとの総量に対するWの比率をWr、前記逃げ面における前記被覆層のTiとAlとの総量に対するWの比率をWfとしたとき、Wf/Wrが1.5〜3.2である請求項1記載の切削工具。
- 前記すくい面における前記被覆層のTiとAlとの総量に対するAlの比率をAlr、前記逃げ面における前記被覆層のTiとAlとの総量に対するAlの比率をAlfとしたとき、Alr/Alfが1.03〜1.1である請求項1または2記載の切削工具。
- 前記逃げ面における前記被覆層の厚みが前記すくい面における前記被覆層の厚みよりも厚い請求項1乃至3のいずれか記載の切削工具。
- 前記被覆層が、Ti1−a1−b1−c1 Ala1Wb1Mc1(C1−x1Nx1)(ただし0≦a1≦0.8、0≦b1≦0.2、0≦c1≦0.2、0≦x1≦1)で表される第1被覆層と、Ti1−a2−b2−c2 Ala2Wb2Mc2(C1−x2Nx2)(
ただし、0≦a2≦0.8、0≦b2≦0.2、0≦c2≦0.2、0≦x2≦1、a1=a2かつb1=b2かつc1=c2は除く。)で表される第2被覆層とが10層以上繰り返し交互に積層された構成からなる請求項1乃至4のいずれか記載の切削工具。 - 前記第2被覆層が、Ti1−a2Ala2(C1−x2Nx2)(ただし、0.3≦a2≦0.8、0≦x2≦1)で表される請求項5記載の切削工具。
