切り込み:横切り込み10mm、深さ切り込み3mm
切削状態:乾式
評価方法:切削不能となるまでの衝撃回数。および衝撃回数100回ごとに切刃の状態を観察し、切削不能となる直前における切刃の状態を確認した。

Claims (4)
- 基体の表面に、TiNからなるA層と、Ti1−aMa(C1−xNx)(ただし、MはTiを除く周期表第4、5、6族金属、Al、SiおよびYから選ばれる少なくとも1種、0.1≦a≦0.9、0≦x≦1)からなるB層とを交互に繰り返し積層した被覆層を具備し、すくい面における前記被覆層中の前記A層と前記B層との厚みの比(trA/trB)が、逃げ面における前記被覆層中の前記A層と前記B層との厚みの比(tfA/tfB)よりも大きい切削工具。
- 切刃における前記被覆層中の前記A層と前記B層との厚みの比(tcA/tcB)が、前記逃げ面における前記被覆層中の前記A層と前記B層との厚みの比(tfA/tfB)よりも大きい請求項1記載の切削工具。
- 前記すくい面における前記被覆層の総厚みTrが前記逃げ面における前記被覆層の総厚みTfよりも厚い請求項1または2記載の切削工具。
- 前記B層を示す組成式Ti1−aMa(C1−xNx)において、0.75≦a≦0.85を満足するとともに、前記組成式のMがAlを80%以上含有する請求項1乃至3のいずれか記載の切削工具。
