Claims (12)
- 嵌合部分を画定するシェルと、
該シェルの中に位置付けられるコネクタであって、該コネクタが第1のウェハ及び第2のウェハを含み、該第1及び第2のウェハの各々が、端子の列を支持する絶縁ブロックを有し、前記列の中の端子の各々が、該端子の対向する端部上に接点及び尾部を含み、前記コネクタが、前記第1及び第2のウェハの互いに対する相対位置を画定する支柱を含み、該支柱が前記第1及び第2のウェハの間に延在し、前記コネクタが、前記第1及び第2のウェハの周囲に位置付けられるハウジングシェルを更に含み、該ハウジングシェルがカードスロットを画定し、前記接点がカードスロットの中に位置付けられる、コネクタと、
前記端子の尾部に嵌合される回路基板であって、頂面及び底面を有する回路基板と、
該回路基板の頂面及び底面に位置付けられる固定層であって、前記回路基板を前記第1及び第2のウェハに機械的に結合する、固定層と、を備える、プラグコネクタアセンブリ。 - 前記シェルが、前記嵌合部分の第1及び第2の側に脱気孔を含み、該脱気孔が、前記接点と整列されて、空気が前記第1及び第2の側の間を流れることを可能にするように構成されている、請求項1に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記第1及び第2のウェハと回路基板との間の空間関係が、前記第1及び第2のウェハが回路基板に直接の物理的接触をしないように、前記第1及び第2のウェハの間に位置する支柱と前記固定層とによって制御される、請求項1に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記シェルが、該シェルと前記回路基板との間に機械的支持を提供するように該回路基板に係合する、対向するフィンガーを有する、請求項1に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記回路基板が、前記シェルと回路基板との間に接地接続を提供するように前記フィンガーと整列される接点パッドを含む、請求項4に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記回路基板が、前記支柱が前記回路基板まで横方向に延在することを可能にする切り欠きを有する、請求項1に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 嵌合部分を画定するシェルと、
該シェルの中に位置付けられるコネクタであって、該コネクタが第1のウェハ及び第2のウェハを含み、該第1及び第2のウェハの各々が、端子の列を支持し、該列の中の端子の各々が、該端子の対向する端部上に接点及び尾部を含み、ペグが前記第1及び第2のウェハのうちの一方に提供され、前記ペグが第1及び第2のウェハの間の距離を画定し、前記コネクタが、前記第1及び第2のウェハの周囲に位置付けられるハウジングシェルを更に含み、該ハウジングシェルがカードスロットを画定し、接点がカードスロットの中に位置付けられる、コネクタと、
前記端子の尾部に嵌合される回路基板であって、頂面及び底面を有する回路基板と、
該回路基板の頂面及び底面に位置付けられる固定層であって、前記回路基板を前記第1及び第2のウェハに機械的に結合する、固定層と、を備える、プラグコネクタアセンブリ。 - 前記ペグが、前記第1のウェハ上の第1のペグであり、前記コネクタが、前記第2のウェハ上の第2のペグを含み、前記第1及び第2のペグが、嵌合線を画定するように相互に接触する、請求項7に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記嵌合線が、前記回路基板の頂面と底面との間に位置付けられる、請求項8に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記回路基板が、前記ペグが回路基板を通って横方向に延在することを可能にする切り欠きを有する、請求項7に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記切り欠きが、前記回路基板の開口である、請求項7に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記端子の尾部に嵌合される回路基板が、前記端子の尾部にはんだ付けされる回路基板を含む、請求項7に記載のプラグコネクタアセンブリ。
