Description
本発明の熱可塑性樹脂組成物は、ポリアミド樹脂として(A)芳香族ポリアミド樹脂及び(B)脂肪族ポリアミド樹脂を共に含むことによって、長期耐熱安定性のみならず、加工性も向上させることができる。
本発明の一具体例に係る芳香族ポリアミド樹脂(A)は、芳香族基を含む単量体から形成される単一共重合体、共重合体、三元共重合体又はそれ以上の重合体であってもよく、ここで、共重合体という用語は、二つ以上のアミド及び/又はジアミド分子反復単位を有するポリアミドを意味する。
言い換えると、前記芳香族ポリアミド樹脂は、反復単位として、芳香族ジカルボン酸単位を約10モル%〜約100モル%含むジカルボン酸単位;及び脂肪族ジアミン単位及び脂環族ジアミン単位のうち少なくとも一つを含むジアミン単位;を含んでもよい。
本発明の一具体例に係る脂肪族ポリアミド樹脂(B)は、分子鎖内に芳香族環を含有しないポリアミドであって、炭素数10〜20の脂肪族基を含有してもよい。
本発明の熱可塑性樹脂組成物は、二つの種類のキレート剤(第1キレート剤及び第2キレート剤)を使用し、高温での老化(aging)時、表面酸化によって表面へのチャー(char)の形成を促進させることによって、熱可塑性樹脂内部への酸化層浸透を防止し、熱可塑性樹脂の分解を防止することができ、これによって、長期的な耐熱安定性向上の効果を得ることができる。
本発明の一具体例に係る第1キレート剤(C)は、カルボン酸及びその塩のうち少なくとも一つ、及びアミノ基を含んでもよい。前記第1キレート剤は、分子構造中に金属イオンとの結合を形成できる官能基を有する化合物であって、陽イオンと陰イオンとに解離された金属塩の陽イオンと結合し、安定化したキレート錯化合物を形成することができる。
本発明の一具体例に係る第2キレート剤は、芳香族ジカルボン酸を含むものであって、芳香族ジカルボン酸が別途の物質として熱可塑性樹脂組成物に添加される場合、熱可塑性樹脂組成物の長期耐熱安定性向上効果を著しく増加させることができる。例えば、前記第2キレート剤は、第1キレート剤と共に使用され、ガラス繊維などの充填剤のサイジング物質と反応することによって、熱可塑性樹脂組成物の長期耐熱安定性向上効果をより高めることができる。
本発明の一具体例に係る充填剤(E)は、熱可塑性樹脂組成物の機械的強度を向上できるものであって、その添加量を調節することによって所望の水準の機械的強度を確保することができる。前記充填剤としてはガラス繊維などを使用してもよい。
ソルベイ株式会社(Solvay Advanced Polymers L.L.C.)のPA6T/66製品であるA6000を使用した。
Zig Sheng Industrial Co.,Ltd.のポリアミド6製品であるTP 4208を使用した。
ダウケミカル株式会社(Dow chemical Company)のEDTA−2Naを使用した。
(d−1)サムスン石油化学株式会社のテレフタル酸を使用した。
オーウェンスコーニング株式会社(Owens corning Corporation)の直径が4μmで、チョップの長さが10mmで、円形断面ガラス繊維製品である983を使用した。
ブリュッゲマン株式会社(Brueggemann Chemical)のCuI/KI混合物製品であるTP−H9008を使用した。
下記の表1に記載した成分を混合器に投入して乾式混合した。その次に、これを、L/Dが45で、Φが44mmである二軸押出機に投入し、押出機を通じてペレット形態の熱可塑性樹脂組成物を製造した。製造されたペレットを330℃に設定された10oz射出成形機を用いて射出成形し、物性評価のための試片を製造した。
(1)耐熱強度維持率の評価:実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜3の熱可塑性樹脂組成物を用いて製造された各試片のうち一部を温度23℃、相対湿度50%で48時間放置した後、ASTM D638によって初期引張強度a0(単位:kg/cm2)を測定した。このとき、引張強度測定速度は5mm/minであった。その後、各試片のうち残りを220℃で500時間放置した後の引張強度a1(単位:kg/cm2)を測定した。下記の式3を用いて計算された耐熱強度維持率(単位:%)を評価した。
Claims (14)
- (A)芳香族ポリアミド樹脂:30重量%〜70重量%;
(B)脂肪族ポリアミド樹脂:1重量%〜20重量%;
(C)カルボン酸及びその塩のうち少なくとも一つ、及びアミノ基を含む第1キレート剤:0.1重量%〜1重量%;
(D)芳香族ジカルボン酸を含む第2キレート剤:0.1重量%〜5重量%;及び
(E)充填剤:10重量%〜60重量%;を含むことを特徴とする熱可塑性樹脂組成物。 - 前記芳香族ポリアミド樹脂(A)及び前記脂肪族ポリアミド樹脂(B)は、1:0.05〜1:0.5の重量比で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記充填剤(E)はガラス繊維であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記芳香族ポリアミド樹脂(A)は、芳香族ジカルボン酸単位を10モル%〜100モル%含むジカルボン酸単位;及び脂肪族ジアミン単位及び脂環族ジアミン単位のうち少なくとも一つを含むジアミン単位;を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記芳香族ポリアミド樹脂(A)は、ヘキサメチレンテレフタルアミド及びヘキサメチレンアジポアミドからなるポリアミド(PA6T/66)、及びヘキサメチレンテレフタルアミド及び2−メチルペンタメチレンテレフタルアミドからなるポリアミド(PA6T/DT)のうち少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記脂肪族ポリアミド(B)は、ポリアミド6及びポリアミド66のうち少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記第1キレート剤(C)は、EDTA(ethylenediamine−N,N,N’,N’−tetraacetic acid)、EGTA(ethylene glycol bis(2−aminoethylether)−N,N,N’,N’−tetraacetic acid)、CyDTA(trans−1,2−diaminocyclohexane−N,N,N’,N’−tetraacetic acid)、DTPA(diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid)、TETHA(triethylenetetraamine−N,N,N’,N”,N’’’,N’’’−hexaacetic acid)、HEDTA(N−(2−hydroxyethyl)ethylenediaminetriacetic acid)及びこれらの金属塩のうち少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記第1キレート剤(C)は、ナトリウム(Na)、アルミニウム(Al)、鉄(Fe)、銅(Cu)、亜鉛(Zn)、スズ(Sn)、チタン(Ti)、ニッケル(Ni)、アンチモン(Sb)、マグネシウム(Mg)、バナジウム(V)、クロム(Cr)及びジルコニウム(Zr)イオンのうち少なくとも一つ以上の金属イオンを含む金属塩であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記第2キレート剤(D)において、前記芳香族ジカルボン酸は、テレフタル酸及びイソフタル酸のうち少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 前記熱可塑性樹脂組成物は、前記芳香族ポリアミド樹脂(A)、前記脂肪族ポリアミド樹脂(B)、前記第1キレート剤(C)及び前記第2キレート剤(D)の和100重量%に対して、テレフタル酸成分が30重量%〜70重量%で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に係る熱可塑性樹脂組成物から製造された成形品。
- 前記成形品は、アンダーフード内部部品のうち少なくとも一つであることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の成形品。
- 前記成形品は、バッテリーヒューズ、ターボ共振器又はインタークーラータンクであることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の成形品。
