Description

[0019]拡張線形混合のためのシステム100は、図1に示すように、プライマリミキサ110と、歪ソースミキサ120と、信号カプラ150とを備える。システム100は、さらに、位相シフタ130、スケーラ140、および/または高調波短絡回路160を備えてもよい。
Claims (22)
- 線形性混合を強化するシステムであって、
第1の入力信号を、プライマリミキサ入力信号と、歪ミキサ入力信号とに分割する入力ソース信号カプラと、
第1の局部発振器(LO)信号をプライマリミキサLO信号と歪ミキサLO信号とに分割する局部発振器(LO)信号カプラと、
ヘテロダインを介して、前記プライマリミキサ入力信号と前記プライマリミキサLO信号とを組み合わせることにより、1次のプライマリミキサ出力信号成分とより高次のプライマリミキサ出力信号成分とを含むプライマリミキサ出力信号を生成するプライマリミキサであって、前記プライマリミキサ出力信号は、前記1次のプライマリミキサ出力信号成分に対する前記より高次のプライマリミキサ出力信号成分の第1の信号電力比によって特徴付けられる、プライマリミキサと、
ヘテロダインを介して、前記歪ミキサ入力信号と歪ミキサLO信号とを組み合わせることにより、1次の歪ミキサ出力信号成分とより高次の歪ミキサ出力信号成分とを含む歪ミキサ出力信号を生成する歪ソースミキサであって、前記歪ミキサ出力信号は、前記1次の歪ミキサ出力信号成分に対する前記より高次の歪ミキサ出力信号成分の第2の信号電力比によって特徴付けられ、前記第2の信号電力比は前記第1の信号電力比よりも大きい、歪ソースミキサと、
前記歪ミキサ出力信号における5次相互変調(IM5)生成物と7次相互変調(IM7)生成物の少なくとも1つを低減する高調波短絡回路と、
前記プライマリミキサ出力信号と前記歪ミキサ出力信号とを組み合わせることにより、1次の出力信号成分とより高次の出力信号成分とを含む出力信号を生成する出力信号カプラであって、前記出力信号は、前記1次の出力信号成分に対する前記より高次の出力信号成分の第3の信号電力比によって特徴付けられ、前記第3の信号電力比は、前記第1の信号電力比よりも小さく、前記第2の信号電力比よりも小さい、出力信号カプラと、
を備えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 位相シフタをさらに備え、当該位相シフタは、前記プライマリミキサ入力信号、前記歪ミキサ入力信号、前記プライマリミキサLO信号、および前記歪ミキサLO信号のいずれか一方を反転させ、当該反転により、前記出力信号カプラにおける前記歪ミキサ出力信号に対して反転された前記プライマリミキサ出力信号となることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記位相シフタは、前記プライマリミキサ入力信号を反転させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記位相シフタは、前記プライマリミキサLO信号を反転させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記位相シフタは、前記歪ミキサ入力信号を反転させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記位相シフタは、歪ミキサLO信号を反転させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記高次の信号成分は、3次の相互変調生成物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記高次の信号成分は、5次の相互変調生成物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ソースミキサおよびプライマリミキサは、同一の特性仕様を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ミキサ入力信号が前記プライマリミキサ入力信号よりも高い信号電力を有し、前記プライマリミキサ出力信号よりも高い非線形性を有する歪ミキサ出力信号を生じることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記プライマリミキサ入力信号を減衰するか前記歪ミキサ入力信号を増幅する第1のスケーラをさらに備える請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記1次のプライマリミキサ出力信号成分を前記1次の歪ミキサ出力信号成分よりも高いパワーにするように、前記歪ミキサ出力信号を減衰するか、前記プライマリミキサ出力信号を増幅する第2のスケーラをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ミキサLO信号が前記プライマリミキサLO信号よりも信号パワーが低く、これにより前記歪ミキサ出力信号が前記プライマリミキサ出力信号よりも高い非線形性を有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記プライマリミキサLO信号を増幅するか、前記歪ミキサLO信号を減衰させる第1のスケーラをさらに備える請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記1次のプライマリミキサ出力信号成分が前記1次の歪ミキサ出力信号成分より高いパワーとなるように、前記歪ミキサ出力信号を減衰するか、前記プライマリミキサ出力信号を増幅する第2のスケーラをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ソースミキサは前記プライマリミキサとは異なる動作モードで動作し、これにより前記プライマリミキサ出力信号よりも高い非線形性を有する歪ミキサ出力信号が得られることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ソースミキサは、低電力モードで動作していることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ソースミキサおよび前記プライマリミキサの特性規格値は同一でないことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記歪ソースミキサおよび前記プライマリミキサの入力参照3次インターセプトポイント(IIP3)値は異なることを特徴とする請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 前記高調波短絡回路は、前記歪ソースミキサの出力に結合されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記高調波短絡回路は、5次高調波周波数に同調する少なくとも1つのLC共振器を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記高調波短絡回路は、7次高調波周波数に同調する少なくとも1つのLC共振器を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
