Abstract
Description
図1は、実施の形態1に係る除湿素子の斜視図である。
除湿素子1は、枠形状を有するケーシング2の中に、第1シート3と第2シート4とが交互に複数積層された積層体5を有するものである。第1シート3および第2シート4は吸放湿性を有する。枠形状を有するケーシング2の形状としては、多角形、円形または楕円形のみならず、除湿素子1を装着する装置に合わせた任意の形状を採ることができる。また、ケーシング2の材質としては、処理する空気の温湿度および風速などに応じて、プラスチック、金属または木材等の種々の素材を適宜選択できる。また、ケーシング2と積層体5との間には、両者を固定するためにバインダーが塗布されていることが望ましい。
水溶性を有しておらず硬い吸湿剤60の場合、図5に示すようにシート30およびシート40のそれぞれの表面へのアンカー効果が低い。これに対し、本実施の形態1の吸湿剤6の場合、図6に示すように、水分を吸着して吸湿剤6の一部が水溶した際、吸湿剤6は第1シート3および第2シート4のそれぞれの表面の凹凸に追従する形となり、表面へのアンカー効果が高い。その結果、乾燥時に高い接着効果を得ることができる。
第2シート4自身が空隙を有する場合、空気が第2シート4内の空隙を拡散することで、図7に示すように、第2シート4内部の繊維7の表面に担持された吸湿剤6と接触して吸湿される。つまり、空気が第2シート4内の空隙を拡散することで、空気が第2シート4内を通過できない場合に比べて、空気と吸湿剤6との接触面積が広がる。このため、第2シート4における吸湿能力が向上し、吸湿特性が良好となる。ここでは、吸湿時について説明したが、乾燥時においても同様の作用が得られ、乾燥能力が向上する。よって、シート自身が通気性を有することで、除湿素子1全体で見たときに、吸湿速度および乾燥速度を上昇させることができる。繊維7の表面に吸湿剤6を効率よく担持するには、繊維7のぬれ性が高い方が望ましく、繊維7として親水性繊維を使用するまたは繊維7に親水化処理がなされていることが望ましい。
次に、除湿素子1の製造方法について説明する。
除湿素子1は、図8に示した各工程を経て作成される。まず、複数のシートに再湿糊を含む吸湿剤6を含有させる(ステップS1)。そして、複数のシートの一部のシートを凹凸加工する(ステップS2)。なお、ステップS1とステップS2の順序は逆でもよい。つまり、シートに吸湿剤6を含有させるタイミングは、シートを凹凸加工する前または凹凸加工した後のどちらでもよい。どちらを選択するかは、吸放湿性を有するシート状物の加工性および吸放湿剤の添着加工性などを考慮して決定することができる。なお、以下では、ステップS2で凹凸加工されたシートを第1シート3といい、その他のシートを第2シート4という。
凹凸加工された第1シート3と第2シート4とを1枚ずつ順番に積層していく方法の場合、第1シート3にスチームを噴射するかまたは刷毛などで水を表面塗布する。このように第1シート3に水分を与えることで表面に粘着性を発現させ、その上に第2シート4を重ねる。この時、第2シート4にも、スチームを噴射するかまたは刷毛などで水を表面塗布すると、第2シート4の表面にも粘着性を発現させることができ、より強固な接着が行えるため、望ましい。
第1シート3と第2シート4とを接着加工してから積層する方法の場合、第1シート3の凹凸形状の凸部の先端付近に接着剤を塗布し、第1シート3と第2シート4とを接着する。接着剤としては、密着性に優れているものが望ましく、例えばシリコーンコーキング剤、エポキシ樹脂、酢ビ系樹脂、アクリル系接着剤、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポバールまたはデンプン糊等が挙げられる。次に、第1シート3と第2シート4とを接着加工して得られた接着体を複数、積層する。この積層の際には、接着体を構成するシートの表面にスチームを噴射するかまたは刷毛などで水を表面塗布し、他の接着体と重ねて接着する。または、高湿度環境下にて複数の接着体を重ねる。以上により、積層体5が作成される。
本実施の形態2は、実施の形態1の除湿素子1を備えた除湿装置に関する。
除湿装置8は、ケーシング8aを有し、ケーシング8aには、第1の流入口10、第1の流出口11、第2の流入口12および第2の流出口13が形成されている。第1の流入口10には外気ダクト16が接続されている。第1の流出口11には給気ダクト17が接続されている。第2の流入口12には環気ダクト18が接続されている。第2の流出口13には排気ダクト19が接続されている。
Claims (9)
- 吸湿剤を含有しており吸放湿性を有する複数のシートが複数枚積層されて形成され、前記複数のシートの少なくとも一部のシートが凹凸形状を有する積層体を用いた除湿素子において、
枠形状を有し、前記積層体を保持するケーシングと、
前記積層体を前記ケーシング内に固定するバインダーとを備え、
前記バインダーは、前記吸湿剤とは異なるものであり、
前記吸湿剤は、吸湿時に粘着性が発現し、乾燥時に固化する再湿糊の性質を有し、前記複数のシート同士を接着するものであり、
前記吸湿剤は、ポリアクリル酸塩の架橋体であり、モノマーに対する橋かけ剤量が0.2(mol%)以下に相当する架橋度のポリマーと、モノマーに対する橋かけ剤量が0.2(mol%)より大きい架橋度のポリマーとが混在した構成を有する
ことを特徴とする除湿素子。 - 前記凹凸形状の前記シートと平板形状の前記シートとが交互に積層されている請求項1記載の除湿素子。
- 前記吸湿剤は、水溶性のポリアクリル酸塩を含む請求項1または請求項2記載の除湿素子。
- 前記シートの基材は、パルプ、樹脂繊維または金属繊維の不織布であり、通気性を有する請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の除湿素子。
- 請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の除湿素子を備えた除湿装置。
- 複数のシートのそれぞれに、再湿糊を含む吸湿剤を含有させる工程と、
前記複数のシートの一部のシートを凹凸加工する工程と、
前記複数のシートに水分を与えて前記再湿糊の粘着性を発現させ、前記複数のシートを接着して積層体を作成する工程と、
前記積層体を乾燥させて前記再湿糊を固化させる工程と、
枠形状を有するケーシングを準備する工程と、
前記吸湿剤とは異なるバインダーを用い、乾燥させた前記積層体を前記ケーシング内に固定する工程と、
前記吸湿剤として、ポリアクリル酸塩の架橋体であり、モノマーに対する橋かけ剤量が0.2(mol%)以下に相当する架橋度のポリマーと、モノマーに対する橋かけ剤量が0.2(mol%)より大きい架橋度のポリマーとが混在した構成を有する混合剤を準備する工程と
を含む除湿素子の製造方法。 - 前記積層体を作成する工程において、前記凹凸加工された前記シートと平板形状の前記シートとを交互に積層する請求項6記載の除湿素子の製造方法。
- 前記吸湿剤として、水溶性のポリアクリル酸塩を含むものを用いる請求項6または請求項7記載の除湿素子の製造方法。
- 前記シートの基材として、パルプ、樹脂繊維または金属繊維の不織布であって、通気性を有するものを用いる請求項6〜請求項8のいずれか一項に記載の除湿素子の製造方法。
