Description
本願は、米国仮出願番号第62/372,157号(2016年8月8日出願、名称“BIOCIDAL PROTECTIVE FORMULATIONS”)の優先権を主張し、この仮出願を参照により本明細書に援用する。
本明細書における実施形態は、自己修復材料、特に、コーティング、染料、シーラント、および接着剤を含む殺菌自己修復保護材に関する。
殺生物剤4,5−ジクロロ−2−nオクチル−4−イソチアゾリン−3−オン(DCOIT)と、以下のフィルム形成剤:1)ポリ(メチルメタクリレート)(PMMA)、2)シリコーンエポキシ官能化アルキド、3)エポキシ樹脂、4)シロキサンまたはシリコーン樹脂、のうちの1つとを含むマイクロカプセルを作製した。エポキシ樹脂では、DCOITと硬化剤とを含む別個のマイクロカプセルも作製して、二液型エポキシ−アミン樹脂系の2成分のうち2番目のものを形成した。同様に、シロキサンまたはシリコーン樹脂では、DCOITと硬化剤とを含む別個のマイクロカプセルを作製して、付加硬化型ポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)樹脂系の2成分のうちの2番目のものを形成した。溶媒をフィルム形成処方物の一部として使用した場合、使用される溶媒は、キシレン、ブチルアセテート、酢酸ヘキシル、および酢酸フェニルを含んでいた。作製したいくつかのマイクロカプセル化した殺菌処方物の具体例を下記表1に記載する。
200mLの脱イオン水を、清浄な1000mLビーカーに量りとった。当業者であれば、反応が、必要に応じて拡大または縮小し得ることを理解する。2.5wt%ポリ(エチレン−無水マレイン酸共重合体;EMA)の予め調製した溶液50mLをビーカーに添加し、尿素5g、NH4Cl0.5g、およびレゾルシノール(予め摩砕)0.5gを添加し、pHを測定した。NaOHの10wt%溶液を混合物に滴下することによって、pHを3.5に調整した。望ましい速度での撹拌のためにミキサーを起動し、60mLのコア材料を添加した。
マイクロカプセル化した殺菌処方物の性能を実証するために、様々な処方物で処理したサザンイエローパイン木材サンプルを時間とともに評価した。最初に、疎水性フィルム形成剤を含まないマイクロカプセル化していない殺菌処方物と、疎水性フィルム形成剤を含むものとを比較した。
Claims (22)
- 酢酸ヘキシルと酢酸エチルフェニルとを含む溶媒ブレンドと、疎水性フィルム形成剤と、4,5−ジクロロ−2−n−オクチル−4−イソチアゾリン−3−オン(DCOIT)を含む疎水性殺菌剤と、を含む第1のマイクロカプセルを含み、
前記第1のマイクロカプセルの破裂により、前記疎水性フィルム形成剤が、前記疎水性殺菌剤を含む重合フィルムを形成することを特徴とする殺菌処方物。 - 前記疎水性フィルム形成剤が、官能化アルキド樹脂を含む請求項1に記載の殺菌処方物。
- 前記溶媒ブレンドがキシレンをさらに含む請求項1または2に記載の殺菌処方物。
- 前記殺菌処方物が第2のマイクロカプセルをさらに含み、前記第2のマイクロカプセルが硬化剤を含み、前記第1のマイクロカプセルおよび前記第2のマイクロカプセルの破裂により、前記硬化剤が前記疎水性フィルム形成剤に前記疎水性殺菌剤を含む重合フィルムを形成させる請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の殺菌処方物。
- 前記疎水性殺菌剤が、疎水性非極性および/または極性非プロトン性の溶媒と混和できる請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の殺菌処方物。
- 前記疎水性殺菌剤がベンズイソチアゾリン3−オン(BIT)をさらに含む請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の殺菌処方物。
- 前記第1のマイクロカプセルが、その合計質量の少なくとも60%であるコア材料を含み、前記第1のマイクロカプセルのシェル壁の厚さが2μm以下であり、前記第1のマイクロカプセルの直径への前記シェル壁の厚さの寄与が20%以下である請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の殺菌処方物。
- ポリマー材料マトリックスと、第1のマイクロカプセルと、を含み、
前記第1のマイクロカプセルが、酢酸ヘキシルと酢酸エチルフェニルとを含む溶媒ブレンドと、疎水性フィルム形成剤と、4,5−ジクロロ−2−n−オクチル−4−イソチアゾリン−3−オン(DCOIT)を含む疎水性殺菌剤と、を含み、
前記第1のマイクロカプセルの破裂により、前記疎水性フィルム形成剤が、前記疎水性殺菌剤を含む重合フィルムを形成することを特徴とする保護材料。 - 前記疎水性フィルム形成剤が、官能化アルキド樹脂を含む請求項8に記載の保護材料。
- 前記溶媒ブレンドが、キシレンをさらに含む請求項8または9に記載の保護材料。
- 前記ポリマー材料マトリックスが第2のマイクロカプセルをさらに含み、前記第2のマイクロカプセルが硬化剤を含み、前記第1のマイクロカプセルおよび前記第2のマイクロカプセルの破裂により、前記硬化剤が前記疎水性フィルム形成剤に前記疎水性殺菌剤を含む重合フィルムを形成させる請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載の保護材料。
- 前記ポリマー材料マトリックスが、コーティング、染料、シーラントまたは接着剤を含む請求項8〜11のいずれか1項に記載の保護材料。
- 前記ポリマー材料マトリックスが、ポリマー系のコーティング、染料、シーラントまたは接着剤を含む請求項12に記載の保護材料。
- 前記ポリマー材料マトリックスが、アクリル酸、エポキシ、ポリウレタン、ポリ尿素、ポリエステル、またはシロキサンを含む請求項13に記載の保護材料。
- 前記疎水性殺菌剤が、疎水性非極性溶媒および/または極性非プロトン性の溶媒と混和できる請求項8〜14のいずれか1項に記載の保護材料。
- 前記疎水性殺菌剤がベンズイソチアゾリン3−オン(BIT)をさらに含む請求項8〜15のいずれか1項に記載の保護材料。
- 前記第1のマイクロカプセルが、ポリ(オキシメチレン尿素)、ポリ(オキシメチレンメラミン)、ポリウレタン、ポリ尿素、ポリアクリレート、ゼラチン、ポリジメチルシロキサン、熱可塑性ポリマー、熱可塑性モノマー、または樹脂を含むシェル壁を含む請求項8〜16のいずれか1項に記載の保護材料。
- 前記樹脂が、アルキド、エポキシ、シロキサン、シラン、ポリエステル、ビニルエステル、シリコーン、イソシアネート、ポリアクリレート、ポリウレタン、ポリ尿素樹脂、および/またはアクリレートを含む請求項17に記載の保護材料。
- 前記第1のマイクロカプセルが、その合計質量の少なくとも60%であるコア材料を含み、前記第1のマイクロカプセルのシェル壁の厚さが2μm以下であり、前記第1のマイクロカプセルの直径への前記シェル壁の厚さの寄与が20%以下である請求項8〜18のいずれか1項に記載の保護材料。
- 保護材料を用意するステップと、
