Description
図5に示すように、正極4は、第1集電体シートである正極集電体シート40と、正極集電体シート40の両面に形成された正極活物質層41とを具備する。捲回型電池がリチウムイオン電池である場合、正極集電体シート40の材料は、例えばアルミニウム、アルミニウム合金などの金属箔が好ましく使用される。正極集電体シートの厚さは、特に限定されないが、10μm〜20μmが好ましい。
図7に示すように、負極2は、第2集電体シートである負極集電体シート20と、負極集電体シート20の両面に形成された負極活物質層21とを具備する。捲回型電池がリチウムイオン電池である場合、負極集電体シートの材料としては、例えばステンレス鋼、ニッケル、銅、銅合金、アルミニウムなどの金属箔が好ましく使用される。負極集電体シートの厚さは、特に限定されないが、5μm〜20μmが好ましい。
負極2と正極4との間に介在されるセパレータ6としては、絶縁性の微多孔薄膜、織布または不織布が用いられる。リチウムイオン電池のセパレータの材料としては、例えばポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンなどのポリオレフィンを用いることが好ましい。セパレータ6の厚さは、例えば10μm〜50μmであり、10μm〜30μmが好ましい。
電解質は、例えば、リチウム塩と、リチウム塩を溶解させる非水溶媒とで構成される。非水溶媒としては、特に限定されないが、環状炭酸エステル、鎖状炭酸エステル、環状カルボン酸エステルなどが用いられる。リチウム塩としては、例えばLiPF6、LiBF4などが用いられる。

Claims (11)
- 開口を有する電池ケースと、
前記電池ケースに収容された発電要素と、
前記電池ケースの前記開口を塞ぐキャップと、
前記電池ケースと前記キャップとを絶縁するガスケットと、を具備し、
前記発電要素は、第1電極と、前記第1電極とは極性が異なる第2電極と、前記第1電極と前記第2電極との間に介在するセパレータと、電解質と、を具備し、
前記第1電極と前記第2電極とが前記セパレータを介して捲回されて電極群を形成しており、
前記第1電極と前記キャップとが、第1集電リードで接続されており、
前記第2電極と前記電池ケースとが、第2集電リードで接続されており、
前記電池ケースの前記開口を形成する端部付近に、前記電池ケースを縮径するように環状の溝部が形成されており、
前記ガスケットは、
前記電池ケースの前記溝部から前記端部までの部分と、前記キャップの周縁部と、の間に介在する環状のシール部と、
前記シール部と一体化されているとともに、前記シール部と同軸かつ前記シール部より前記電極群寄りに配置された筒部と、を有し、
前記筒部は、前記電極群に近づくほど外径が小さくなるテーパー形状であり、
前記第1集電リードが、前記筒部の中空を通って、前記キャップに接続されており、
前記シール部と前記筒部とが、繋がり部により、部分的に繋がっており、
前記シール部と前記筒部との前記繋がり部以外の境界に隙間が形成されている、捲回型電池。 - 前記筒部と前記電極群との間に、隙間が形成されている、請求項1に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記筒部と前記電極群との最短距離Gが、0.2〜1.1mmである、請求項2に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記電極群の端面の面積のうち10〜95%の領域が、前記筒部の端部と対向している、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記筒部の高さhと、前記筒部の外径dとの比:h/dが、0.3〜1.0である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記第1集電リードの長さLと、前記キャップと前記電極群との最短距離Hとの比:L/Hが、1.4〜5.0である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記第2集電リードと前記電池ケースとの接続位置と、前記筒部の外周面とが、対向している、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記接続位置と、前記筒部の外周面との間に、隙間が形成されている、請求項7に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記溝部の内径Dと、前記筒部の外径dとの比:D/dが、1.0〜1.7である、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記電池ケースの外径が、10mm以下である、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
- 前記電池ケースの外径が、6mm以下である、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の捲回型電池。
