Claims (5)
- モル%で、Tb2O3 25〜48%(ただし25%は含まない)、SiO2 0〜45%(ただし45%を含まない)、B2O3 0〜25%(ただし25%を含まない)、P2O5 1〜50%、SiO2+B2O3+P2O5 1〜75%(ただし75%を含まない)、Ga2O3 0〜6%を含有することを特徴とするガラス材。
- さらに、モル%で、Al2O3 0〜70%を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガラス材。
- 磁気光学素子として用いられることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のガラス材。
- ファラデー回転素子として用いられることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のガラス材。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のガラス材を製造するための方法であって、ガラス原料塊を浮遊させて保持した状態で、前記ガラス原料塊を加熱融解させて溶融ガラスを得た後に、前記溶融ガラスを冷却する工程を備えることを特徴とする、ガラス材の製造方法。
