Claims (2)
- 連続熱間圧延ラインの仕上圧延機の入側で先行鋼片の尾端と後行鋼片の先端とを互いに非接触で対向配置し、前記先行鋼片の尾端と前記後行鋼片の先端とを誘導加熱する加熱工程と、加熱された前記先行鋼片の尾端と前記後行鋼片の先端とを突き合わせて押圧接合する接合工程とを含む、連続熱間圧延における鋼片の接合方法であって、
先行鋼片の尾端と後行鋼片の先端の各接合面に、鉄より酸素親和力が高い無機物を含む粉末を塗布し、誘導加熱開始前に、液体もしくは気体を吹き付けて塗布した粉末を除去したのち、加熱接合することを特徴とする連続熱間圧延における鋼片の接合方法。 - 前記粉末を塗布してから該粉末を除去するタイミングの間が5秒以上、120秒以下であって、かつ前記粉末を除去した後、前記誘導加熱開始までの時間が40秒以内であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の連続熱間圧延における鋼片の接合方法。
