Claims (6)
- 搬送方向で先行する金属製品の後端面のクロップカットを実施するステップと、搬送方向で後続する金属製品の前端面のクロップカットを実施するステップと、後続する金属製品と先行する金属製品をクロップカットされた端面において統合及び溶接するステップと、を備え、溶接が、線形摩擦溶接又は振動摩擦溶接として実施され、クロップカットされた端面間の摩擦係数μが、所定の摩擦係数範囲内にある、高温の2つの金属製品を溶接するための方法において、
クロップカット後で溶接前に、先行する金属製品及び/又は後続する金属製品の端面に、摩擦係数に応じて設定された厚さdを備えたスケール層が形成されることによって、摩擦係数μが設定されること、を特徴とする方法。 - 摩擦係数範囲が、0.1<μ<1.5であること、を特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- スケール層の厚さdが、5μm<d<100μmであること、を特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 高温の金属製品の温度Tが、800℃<T<1250℃、好ましくは900℃<T1160℃であること、を特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 金属製品の端面が、クロップカットの直後で互いに摩擦溶接される前に、t<60s、好ましくはt<15sの所定の期間tの間、周囲空気、圧縮空気作用又は酸化性のガス、例えば空気よりも空気含有量が少ない窒素と酸素の混合物にさらされることによって、所定の厚さを備えたスケール層の形成が行なわれること、を特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 高温の金属製品が、互いに溶接された後に熱間圧延されること、を特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
