Description
(1)単位厚みあたりの突き刺し強度が0.3〜3.0N/μmであり、25℃における膜抵抗が3.0〜100.0Ω・cm2であるポリマーイオン透過膜。
(2)長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)の5%伸長時応力のいずれもが40〜1,000MPaであり、長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)の破断点伸度のいずれもが5〜200%である、上記(1)に記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。
(3)150℃における長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)の熱収縮率のいずれもが−2.0〜10.0%である、上記(1)または(2)に記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。
(4)膜を構成するポリマー中に、自由エネルギーΔGで表されるリチウムイオンに対する親和性が−80〜−50kcal/molである部位と、−45〜−20kcal/molである部位とを有する、上記(1)〜(3)のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。
(5)膜を構成するポリマー中に、主鎖または側鎖に、エーテル結合またはチオエーテル結合を有する芳香族ポリアミド、芳香族ポリイミドまたは芳香族ポリアミドイミドを含む、上記(1)〜(4)のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。
(6)膜を構成するポリマー中に、下記化学式(I)〜(III)のいずれかの構造を有するポリマーを含む上記(1)〜(5)のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。

(7)上記(1)〜(6)のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜を、空孔を有する基材上に形成してなる複合イオン透過膜。
(8)上記(1)〜(6)のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜、または上記(7)に記載の複合イオン透過膜を用いてなる電池用電解質膜。
(9)上記(1)〜(6)のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜を、電池用電極上に形成してなる電極複合体。

化学式(IV)〜(VI):
ここで、化学式(IV)〜(VI)の芳香環上の水素原子の一部が、フッ素、臭素、塩素などのハロゲン基;ニトロ基;シアノ基;メチル、エチル、プロピルなどのアルキル基;メトキシ、エトキシ、プロポキシなどのアルコキシ基、カルボン酸基等の任意の基で置換されていてもよい。
実施例における物性の測定方法は次の方法に従って行った。
試料の厚み(μm;下記(3)により測定した値)と質量を測定し、試料の見かけの密度(嵩密度)d1を求めた。これと試料構成物の真比重d0より、下式を用いて空孔率(%)を算出した。
(2)自由エネルギーΔG M. P. Allen, D. J. Tildesley, Computer Simulation of Liquids, 1989, Oxford University Press(ISBN 0-19-855645-4)に記載の分子動力学計算手法にて、リチウムイオンとの相互作用エネルギーを自由エネルギーΔG(kcal/mol)として算出した。
定圧厚み測定器FFA−1(尾崎製作所社製)を用いて試料の厚み(μm)を測定した。測定子径は5mm、測定荷重は1.25Nである。
B型ガーレデンソメーター(安田精機製作所社製)を使用し、JIS−P8117(1998)に規定された方法に従って、試料のガーレ透気度(秒/100ml)の測定を行った。試料を直径28.6mm、面積642mm2の円孔に締め付け、内筒により(内筒質量567g)、筒内の空気を試験円孔部から筒外へ通過させ、空気100mlが通過する時間を測定することでガーレ透気度とした。
測定用電極1(正極と定義)として、厚み20μmのアルミシートを長辺50mm×短辺40mmに切り出した。このうち、短辺40mm×長辺の端10mmはタブを接続するためののりしろであり、有効測定面積は40mm×40mm(1,600mm2=16cm2)である。切り出したアルミシートののりしろ部の任意の位置に幅5mm、長さ30mm、厚み100μmのアルミ製タブを超音波溶接した後、溶接部を含むのりしろ部全体をカプトン(登録商標)テープで覆うことで絶縁処理を行った。
幅10mm、長さ150mm(測定方向)に切断した試料について、ロボットテンシロンAMF/RTA−100(オリエンテック社製)を用いて、チャック間距離50mm、引張速度300mm/分、温度23℃、相対湿度65%の条件下で引張試験を行い、5%伸張時応力(MPa)および破断点伸度(%)を求めた。フィルムの長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)にそれぞれ5回測定し、平均値を求めた。
圧縮試験機KES−G5(カトーテック社製)を用いて、針進入速度を2mm/秒とし、それ以外はJIS−Z1707(1997)に準じて23℃で測定した。試料が破膜したときの最大荷重を読み取り、試験前の試料の厚みで除した値を突刺強度(N/μm)とした。測定は各試料5回行い、平均値を求めた。
試料の多孔質膜を、幅5mm、長さ100mmの短冊状に切り取り、長辺を測定方向とした。長辺の両端から約5mmの部分に印をつけ、印の間隔をL1とした。印の外側の一端をクリップで挟み、熱風オーブン内で宙吊りとした状態で、測定温度(150℃または200℃)で10分間熱処理を行った。取り出した試料を25℃まで冷却後、印の間隔L2を計測し、下式で熱収縮率(%)を計算した。フィルムの長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)にそれぞれ5回測定し、それぞれ平均値を求めた。
(9)対数粘度 ηinh
臭化リチウム(LiBr)を2.5質量%添加したN−メチルピロリドン(NMP)に、ポリマーを0.5g/dlの濃度で溶解させ、ウベローデ粘度計を使用して、30℃にて流下時間を測定した。ポリマーを溶解させないブランクのLiBr2.5質量%/NMPの流下時間も同様に測定し、下式を用いて対数粘度ηinh(dl/g)を算出した。

(10)電池評価
(セル作製)
正極として、厚み40μm、充電容量4.00mAh/cm2、放電容量3.64mAh/cm2のコバルト酸リチウム(LiCoO2)を活物質として用いた正極シート(宝泉社製)を50mm×40mmに切り出した。このうち、短辺40mm×長辺の一部10mmはタブを接続するための未塗布部であって、活物質塗布部は40mm×40mmである。幅5mm、長さ30mm、厚み0.1mmのアルミ製正極タブを正極未塗布部に超音波溶接した。
0.2Cの電流値で4.2Vとなるまで定電流充電を行い、4.2Vの電圧で電流値が50μAになるまで定電圧充電を行った。続いて、0.2Cの電流値で2.7Vの電圧まで定電流放電を行った。充電及び放電が交互となるように、上記充電・放電を合計4回行った。充電時間が24時間を越えるセルはその時点で試験を終了し、電池評価不可とした。
0.5Cの電流値で4.2Vとなるまで定電流充電を行った。続いて、0.5Cの電流値で2.7Vの電圧まで定電流放電を行い、0.5Cにおける放電容量を得た。以降、充電はすべて0.5Cの定電流充電とし、1C、3C、5Cの定電流放電を行うことでそれぞれのCレートにおける放電容量を得た。
脱水したN−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP、三菱化学社製)に、ジアミンとして4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルエーテル(東京化成工業社製)を窒素気流下で溶解させ、30℃以下に冷却した。そこへ、系内を窒素気流下、30℃以下に保った状態で、ジアミン全量に対して99モル%に相当する2−クロロテレフタロイルクロライド(日本軽金属社製)を30分かけて添加し、全量添加後、約2時間の撹拌を行うことで、芳香族ポリアミド(A)を重合した。得られた重合溶液を、酸クロライド全量に対して97モル%の炭酸リチウム(本荘ケミカル社製)および6モル%のジエタノールアミン(東京化成社製)により中和することで芳香族ポリアミド(A)の溶液を得た。得られた芳香族ポリアミドの対数粘度ηinhは2.5dl/gであった。
芳香族ポリアミド(B)を得るためのジアミンを、ジアミン全量に対して50モル%に相当する4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルエーテルと50モル%に相当する1,4−フェニレンジアミン(東京化成工業社製)とすること以外は実施例1と同様にしてポリマーイオン透過膜の試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
芳香族ポリアミド(C)を得るためのジアミンを、ジアミン全量に対して100モル%に相当する4−アミノフェノキシ−4−アミノベンゼンスルホン酸エステル(東レ・ファインケミカル社製)とし、酸クロライドをジアミン全量に対して99モル%に相当するテレフタロイルクロライド(東京化成工業社製)とすること以外は実施例1と同様にしてポリマーイオン透過膜の試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
芳香族ポリアミド(D)を得るためのジアミンを、ジアミン全量に対して100モル%に相当する1,3−フェニレンジアミン−4−スルホン酸(東京化成工業社製)とし、酸クロライドをジアミン全量に対して99モル%に相当するテレフタロイルクロライドとすること以外は実施例1と同様にしてポリマーイオン透過膜の試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
芳香族ポリアミド(E)を得るためのジアミンを、ジアミン全量に対して100モル%に相当する1,3−ビス(4−アミノフェノキシ)ベンゼン(東京化成工業社製)とし、酸クロライドをジアミン全量に対して99モル%に相当するテレフタロイルクロライドとすること以外は実施例1と同様にしてポリマーイオン透過膜の試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
脱水したN−メチル−2−ピロリドンに、ジアミンとして4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルエーテルを室温にて溶解させた。そこへ、ジアミン全量に対して100モル%に相当する4,4’−オキシジフタル酸無水物(東京化成工業社製)を30分かけて添加し、全量添加後、約2時間の撹拌を行うことで、芳香族ポリアミド酸(A)を重合した。得られた芳香族ポリアミド酸の対数粘度ηinhは2.0dl/gであった。
実施例6と同様にして、芳香族ポリアミド酸(A)を含む製膜原液を製造した。
実施例1と同様にして、芳香族ポリアミド(A)を含む溶液を製造した。

芳香族ポリアミド(F)を得るためのジアミンを、ジアミン全量に対して80モル%に相当する2−クロロ−1,4−フェニレンジアミン(日本化薬社製)と20モル%に相当する4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルエーテルとすること以外は実施例1と同様にして試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
芳香族ポリアミド(G)を得るためのジアミンを、1,3−フェニレンジアミン(東京化成工業社製)とし、酸クロライドをジアミン全量に対して100モル%に相当するイソフタロイルクロライド(東京化成工業社製)とすること以外は実施例1と同様にして試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
芳香族ポリアミド(H)を得るためのジアミンを、ジアミン全量に対して100モル%に相当するビス(3−アミノフェニル)スルホン(東京化成工業社製)とし、酸クロライドをジアミン全量に対して99モル%に相当するテレフタロイルクロライドとすること以外は実施例1と同様にして試料を得た。得られた試料の評価結果を表1および表2に示す。
アセトニトリル(東京化成社製)に、ポリエチレンオキサイドE−45(明成化学工業社製)を60℃にて溶解させ、濃度10質量%の溶液を得た。

- 長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)の5%伸長時応力のいずれもが40〜1,000MPaであり、長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)の破断点伸度のいずれもが5〜200%である、請求項1に記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。
- 150℃における長手方向(MD)および幅方向(TD)の熱収縮率のいずれもが−2.0〜10.0%である、請求項1または2に記載のポリマーイオン透過膜。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜を、空孔を有する基材上に形成してなる複合イオン透過膜。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜、または請求項4に記載の複合イオン透過膜を用いてなる電池用電解質膜。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のポリマーイオン透過膜を、電池用電極上に形成してなる電極複合体。
