Description
以下、図1〜図5を参照して、実施の形態1を説明する。
[1−1−1.全体構成]
図1は、投写型映像表示装置100の構成を示す図である。図2は、投写型映像表示装置100の制御部300の構成を示す図である。この例では、投写型映像表示装置100はプロジェクタである。
図1に示すように、照明装置10は、光源装置12と、光源装置12からの出射光を映像生成部90へと導光する導光光学系70と、フィルターホイール80とを備える。
図2に示すように、制御部300は、光源輝度制御部200と、第1のパルス幅変調信号発生部210及び第2のパルス幅変調信号発生部220と、第1の光源駆動部230及び第2の光源駆動部240と、映像表示素子駆動部250とを有する。
以上のように構成された投写型映像表示装置100について、その動作を以下説明する。

この式(1)及び式(2)はd1とd2の平均がd0になることを意味し、すなわち第1のレーザモジュール20と第2のレーザモジュール26の定格輝度に対する比率を平均した輝度比率が定格に対する光量目標値の比率d0になることを意味する。
このように、光源の駆動部を2系統とし、各系統間でパルス幅変調信号のデューティ比及び位相を異なるようにすることにより、パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比と光源の輝度との比例関係が改善される。
以上のように、本出願において開示する技術の例示として、実施の形態1を説明した。しかしながら、本開示における技術は、これに限定されず、変更、置き換え、付加、省略などを行った実施の形態にも適用できる。また、上記実施の形態1で説明した各構成要素を組み合わせて、新たな実施の形態とすることも可能である。そこで、以下、他の実施の形態を例示する。

Claims (3)
- 同一波長の光を出射する半導体レーザ素子からなる複数の光源と、
前記各光源に対して設けられ、前記光源を駆動する光源駆動電流を流す光源駆動部と、
前記光源駆動部をオン/オフ駆動するパルス幅変調信号を供給するパルス幅変調信号発生部と、
前記複数の光源から出射された光を合成する光合成部と、
前記光合成部から出射された光を変調する光変調素子と、
前記光変調素子から出射された映像を投写する投写光学系と、
を備えた投写型映像表示装置において、
前記複数の光源の各光源はパルス幅変調信号により制御され、前記光合成部により合成される光の光量の設定範囲の少なくとも一部において、前記光合成部により合成される光の光量特性が直線の特性となるように、各光源に対する前記パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比は異なっており、
各光源に対する前記パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比による各光源の輝度の合計輝度値が、前記投写光学系から投写される映像の目標輝度値となるように、各光源の前記パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比は設定され、
定格に対する前記目標輝度値の比率が、少なくとも90%から100%の範囲において、各光源を制御する前記パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比が異なる、
投写型映像表示装置。 - 前記投写型映像表示装置は、前記投写光学系から投写される映像の輝度を設定する輝度設定部を更に備え、
各光源の前記パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比による各光源の輝度の合計輝度値が、前記輝度設定部により設定された映像の輝度値となるように、
各光源の前記パルス幅変調信号のデューティ比は設定されている請求項1記載の投写型映像表示装置。 - 前記各光源に対する前記パルス幅変調信号の位相は異なっている請求項1記載の投写型映像表示装置。
