Description
なお、超音波振動伝達機構部の軸方向1点支持という保持構造の他の例としては、ブースタ等にS字状フランジを設け、ブースタ等をS字状フランジで枠体に保持するようにした保持構造のものも提案されている(特許文献3、特許文献4)。
ホーン本体と、保持体と、平板状薄板状つなぎ体と、S字状薄板状つなぎ体とが一体加工されたものであって、
前記保持体の一端と前記ホーン本体上の第1位置との間に平板状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させ、かつ前記保持体の他端と前記ホーン本体上の第2位置との間にS字状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させて前記ホーン本体と前記保持体との間隔を保ち、前記保持体で前記ホーン本体を固定する保持構造であって、
前記ホーン本体は、加えられる超音波のほぼ半波長の長さの角柱状に形成されており、
前記平板状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させる第1位置は、前記ホーン本体の一方の端部であって、前記ホーン本体に超音波が加えられたときに前記ホーン本体上に現れる腹部位置であり、
前記S字状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させる第2位置は、前記ホーン本体の一方の端部から他方の端部方向に所定の距離離れた位置であって、前記ホーン本体に超音波が加えられたときに前記ホーン本体上に現れる節部位置であることを特徴とするものである。
(1)各薄板状つなぎ体とホーンとが一体化しているため、ホーンが低い周波数で振動しようとしても、振動を抑えこむことが可能となって、ノーダル部によるホーンとの衝突がなくなり、磨耗を抑えることができるほか、安定した溶着が期待できる。
(2)ホーン上に現れるであろう腹部位置に平板状薄板状つなぎ体を介し、ホーン上に現れるであろう節部位置にS字状薄板状つなぎ体を介して前記ホーンが前記ホルダー部に保持されているので、軸方向に直角方向に対する剛性で大きく有利である。
また、一点支持位置において複数の支持部材により支持した従来の保持構造と比較して、正面からの軸方向の直角方向の剛性を充分に大きくできる。
(3)また、一波長の場合においては、腹部腹部の保持(特許文献6の図8)及び節部節部の保持(特許文献7)で保持する従来の保持構造と比較し、構造が小さくなるという効果がある。
また、ホーン上の半波長の距離2箇所で支持する保持構造のものと比較しても、他との干渉が発生することがないばかりか、構造的に小さくできる利点がある。
図1ないし図5は本発明の実施形態に係る超音波振動伝達機構の保持構造を説明するために示す図である。
前記ホーン本体51の一方の端部から他方の端部方向に所定の距離離れた第2位置Paは、前記ホーン本体51上に現れる節部位置であって、当該節部位置で前記ホーン本体51と前記各保持体7x、7yとの間にS字状薄板状つなぎ体6a、6aが介在された状態にされたものである。
また、このような構成を採用した実施形態によるので、前記超音波振動伝達体等の耐荷重性を従来と比べて高くできる。
また、本発明の他の実施形態に係る超音波振動伝達機構の保持構造によれば、前記超音波振動伝達体等の耐荷重性を従来と比べて高くできる。

Claims (2)
- 超音波振動に共振するホーンから超音波機械振動エネルギーを被溶着部材に加えて被溶着部材による摩擦熱により被溶着部材を溶着等できる超音波振動溶着装置において、
ホーン本体と、保持体と、平板状薄板状つなぎ体と、S字状薄板状つなぎ体とが一体加工されたものであって、
前記保持体の一端と前記ホーン本体上の第1位置との間に平板状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させ、かつ前記保持体の他端と前記ホーン本体上の第2位置との間にS字状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させて前記ホーン本体と前記保持体との間隔を保ち、前記保持体で前記ホーン本体を固定する保持構造であって、
前記ホーン本体は、加えられる超音波のほぼ半波長の長さの角柱状に形成されており、
前記平板状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させる第1位置は、前記ホーン本体の一方の端部であって、前記ホーン本体に超音波が加えられたときに前記ホーン本体上に現れる腹部位置であり、
前記S字状薄板状つなぎ体を介在させる第2位置は、前記ホーン本体の一方の端部から他方の端部方向に所定の距離離れた位置であって、前記ホーン本体に超音波が加えられたときに前記ホーン本体上に現れる節部位置であることを特徴とする超音波振動伝達機構部の保持構造。 - 前記S字状薄板状つなぎ体は、伝達する超音波の一波長の約100分の5以下の所定の厚みに構成し、前記平板状薄板状つなぎ体は、伝達する超音波の一波長の約100分の3以下の所定の厚みに構成し、かつ前記S字状薄板状つなぎ体及び前記平板状薄板状つなぎ体の平板面を縦振動超音波の波面に平行に配置したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の超音波振動伝達機構部の保持構造。
